I would like to be on the yearbook committee because I want to make people happy. I would like to be a part of a team of great people who are able to maintain memories. Nobody doesn't like the feeling of making someone happy. And that's what I want to do if I get a chance to join the committee. I am able to maintain good grades while doing other activities as well. Timing is not a problem either as my afternoons are pretty flexible. My afternoon activities are listed
Because I am a creative person who will enjoy planning events and making them amazing. I'm a responsible person and is easy to talk to about anything. I believe that I am fun and spirited person, and an awesome friend to those around me. It would be an honor if my class elects me to be the class historian for 2015-16.
The reason that I am interested in becoming a member of the National Honor Society is because the National Honor Society represents all of the values that I find most important in my education and life. National Honor Society requires academic excellence throughout high school. At the beginning of my Freshman year, I set a goal to graduate with a 4.0 GPA. I have worked diligently to achieve and maintain this grade point average while taking several advanced classes. So far, I have taken three classes for college credit and plan to take multiple more during my senior year. Through the course of my high school education, I have realized how important it is for an individual to develop and maintain these studious habits. All of the habits I have developed through becoming an excellent
I'm interested in becoming a member of the yearbook staff because it involves everything that I am passionate about. I enjoy group work, being social, and I love taking photographs and creating lifelong memories. I’ll be able to bring diversity to the yearbook committee. I will also be able to suggest many ideas to make the year book look much more vibrant than before. I’ve always dreamed of being in the yearbook committee and if I were to be accepted, I would put in many hours of hard work and dedication until the yearbook was complete.
I should be considered for the Student Council because I feel that this is a great opportunity, I put a lot of effort in school, and I show great character. I also show great scholarship and leadership.
I was chosen to sit on the committee due to my many years of service in the education system. I bring 15 years of experience as an educator, coach, mentor and supervisor. This experience in the k-12 setting has allowed me to work with hundreds of teachers and administrators. During my tenor with the school district I have been asked to sit on dozens of committees, from curriculum, book adoption, finance, to diversity just to name a few. I hold two masters degrees in education; which has afforded me the knowledge and wherewithal to prefect my craft.
I deserve to be a member of the National Honor Society because I feel like I’ve earned it. Over my high school career, I have been through many challenges, but I learned to face them head on with a positive attitude knowing how good the outcome can be. I fit the qualifications to be a member and if I do not fulfill them to a certain level, I will work on how to reach them. Throughout my school education, I’ve always tried my best, even more so in high school. I hold myself up to a very high expectation, I know I can always do better than before. As for volunteering, I am always involved in my community as much as I can. As a child, I was involved in many programs and I continue to do service work with more benefits to my future and character
The reasons I should be allowed into the National Honor Society are because of my selfless character, my outstanding leadership, the background that I have in service, and my exemplary effort in academics.
I am very happy that the National Honor Society has chosen me to be a candidate. Throughout the summer I have completed a total of 18 hours of service. From ticket taking at the Marquette County Fair, cleaning at the Habitat for Humanity Restore, and making packets for the Negaunee Middle School. At each of these volunteering events I learned that it can be fun to volunteer. Without volunteers some events would not happen, like the Model A Fall Color Ride.
When I first heard about students being able to join yearbook staff, my interest was immediately peaked. I knew that yearbook was my calling. I applied to be on the yearbook staff in eighth grade, but my application got denied. When I first read my disapproval letter, my heart sank. Disappointment was written all over my face. Right then and there I wanted
To begin with, yearbooks are a great way to keep all of the memories and friendships that you made throughout the years, so in 15, 20 years from now you can look back and remember all the great times that you had as well as look back on all of the unfashionable fashion trends that happened over
I would be honored to take the position of being student council president. There are qualities a president of student council should possess that I believe I have.
As I continue prioritizing, the activities I participate in which include serving the community as an altar server for my Catholic Church, to my class work, my school and club sports and other extracurricular activities takes a tremendous amount of hard work. Juggling all these activities has not been easy, however; setting my priorities straight played a major role of reaching the short and long term goals I had for myself. I know that I have to perform in the class room first before I can play softball and attend a University. Since I can remember, I have worked hard to learn and keep up with my grades by receiving all A’s and having perfect attendance daily. I have not missed a day of school in my whole career, from kindergarten to today, my senior year.
When I got to high school last year, this became an concern, I began having missing assignments and my grades started to drop dramatically, but after a month or so I started to get back on track when I figured out a decent balance with sports. Like I said I also needed to find a way to balance a social like with these two things as well. Because I selected soccer and decided to become a student athlete, I had to accept the fact that I would have to miss out on some activities others around me got to do. I realized that I would not be able to go to every party, and I was okay with that. I am still able to do some of these things though. Like I’ve mentioned it’s all about finding the right
One of my goals was to be able to complete schoolwork on the nights after my work shift. So far I have been successful with that goal, I have been completing at least one assignment after each work shift even if that means staying up later than I need to be. I have not been able to get a week ahead in all of my assignments. As normal, life tends to aid in keeping my schedule unreliable. I have been very happy with my success in their class, there have been a few topic that I could not understand, but with some extra studying on these topic, I seem to have gotten a better understanding of it.
To be on a committee you should be passionate and excited about what you are going to influence over the next year. I tried being in committee last year even though I was not passionate about the committees. I did enjoy helping people while I was on the poverty committee but it wasn’t my passion. This year I want to experience helping different groups because I feel like I would be able to find out what my passion really is. I want to know this because it’s something I feel I must know about myself and that will also help me choose what I want to do as a career.
