The day of A.I. taking over the world is only seeming more possible. Almost everything is being replaced with robots. Machines are being implemented into anywhere and everywhere to make living more simple. This is not a bad thing, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t questionable. The surplus of machines have found its way into schools as well. The day of robots teaching is appearing in our future generations. In certain areas have already been replaced with notebook computers and ipads. Ipads were the awe of this generation, but they are not capable of beating the awe of the century. Notebook computers should not replace textbooks. Textbooks should not be replaced because they are less distracting, less likely to get stolen and do not run out of charge.

Technology is everywhere, attached to us in almost every part of our daily lives. Places like café shops, home and as well at schools have technology. Nowadays, schools have technology devices like laptops or tablets that they use as a learning tool for students. Teachers and students use these devices in class for every subject. Text books have been replaced by the laptops or tablets, which are lend to each students in school and can take home. The devices have the apps for each of their subjects and students can read their text book in an e-book format. Additionally, students can do their homework on it, send messages to classmates or teacher, or play educational games that involves their current subjects. Although, these are convenient reasons to use devices in and after school, I must say I don’t agree. Technology devices should not be the primary way for students to learn in school. It has taken away the traditional passive learning pattern, some teacher are not helping or not teaching at all, and students are exposed to danger while walking towards school or home.

This day and age technology is advancing every other minute you have new laptops, phones, televisions, boards and many more. So since technology is increasing so much is it necessary to use books instead of kindles or laptops instead of paper? There are many types of technology, so let’s talk about which ones should be allowed in school. Technology has become and will always be one of the most common things in the world its almost un-normal if you don’t own a device of some sort. Devices are important parts of education because without them you wouldn’t be able to do some of your assignments, take attendance, or even get work for that matter, our world revolves around technology. Cell phones, tablet, laptops and kindles should be implemented into everyday classroom time. They are somewhat already involved in school because many teachers use it to show short videos, show grades, get work, and let us use them for some of our assignments.

In conclusion, tablets should replace textbooks in schools, because they eliminate the need for physical storage, cost less, and help students prepare for a world of technology. Having students grow familiar with the technology around them will improve their ability to understand technology in the future. Students who are skilled when it comes to technology will lead others into the future of new technology to come. A vote for tablets over textbooks is the logical thing to do.
