I believe that it's only a matter of time before Isis decides to come after the United States. Our politicians are failing to understand that this rise in extremism isn't going anywhere, let's be candid folks these monsters are sharpening their knives and they're around every corner! We seem to tiptoe around the issues by using drone strikes, arming rebels, and use of special forces doesn't seem to be working; and I believe the best way to combat these extremist is by coordinating a simultaneous attack against their leadership, their strongholds, and their money. I'm a firm believer that we must protect ourselves, our interest, uphold the Constitution, and help our allies in their time of
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as Isis, terror group has been an important issue in the United States for the past couple of years. After the recall of troops from Iraq, radical Islamist movements started to begin and Isis was formed. The first issue of Isis is they have grown in numbers over the years. Secondly, Isis controls thousands of square miles of ungoverned territory. Their high supply of troops and land allows them to creatively think of major attacks, including attacks on the U.S. Lastly, when people see the attacks from Isis, some people naturally gravitate towards these groups. Two months after 9/11 attacks Osama Bin Laden said “When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature, they will like the strong horse.” Isis will continue to grow in power if countries do not come together to help totally eliminate them.
Isis has 30,000 fighters( “Isis trail of terror”). February 2015, Isis had 20,00 more foreign fighters who had come to help( “Isis trail of terror”). Not including 150 from the United State. Isis is spreading into Syria, Iraq, and towards Baghdad tormenting the sick, and killing people till they decide to join their side ( “Isis trail of terror”).Obama said, “ Let's be clear about Isis, they have rampaged across cities beheading people in cowardly acts of violence.”( “Isis trail of terror”). Isis is growing bigger and bigger each second, and only we can stop it.
Dear Mr. President is a satirical essay meant to point out the faults of the argument supporting the Muslim ban. The term “Muslim ban” refers to the executive order, sent out by President Donald J. Trump, restricting the inflow of immigrants from 7 majority muslim countries into the United States. The arguments for the order was that it kept terrorists out as the government prepares tests determining how much of a terror threat a person may be. Many people have claimed it institutionalised Islamophobia, would be step one towards deportation of Muslim (for being muslim), and that the countries banned are not the ones committing the terroristic acts. I used verbal irony, mock encomium, and word play to make their points be noticed.
The topic we decided to cover was a topic that may not be perceived as an issue to some but to us we see it as an issue. This is of course “Safe Space” and how it is viewed bipartisanly which was exemplified when the left wing college student comes across the conservative Trump supporter. We chose this topic because within the past year or so we have all come to the realization that we believe many left wing stereotypical millennial college students believe that they have it all figured out because they’re going to an expensive college, and their professors spit out biased statistics at them. To quote political commentator Tomi Lahren, we believe that many of these students are “Snowflakes”. This is describing them as soft, weak and vulnerable
Force is the only thing that ISIS respects. I believe that the action that the United States government is taking is a good start, but if the efforts fail, I truly think they must step up and take whatever measures necessary in putting an end to this travesty. They are endangering the lives of so many people that it would be crazy for the United States and other leading world powers to not take aggressive action in defending them. ISIS attacks many innocent people through violence, terror, and social media tactics. We must do whatever it takes to take them down, before they become even stronger and pose a larger threat to the United States and the
continues to grow and threaten the stability of Iraq and neighboring Syria, the U.S. has again
The viewpoint of the political cartoon is that no one takes Al Gore seriously. The word serious is in the cartoon and AL Gore is dressed as a penguin, which is funny. The cartoon is horatian because Al Gore dressed in a penguin suit is humorous. The content creator used sarcasm and caricature in the cartoon. The sarcastic part of the cartoon is Obama asking us to take global warming seriously. Caricature is used by Al Gore dressed as a penguin.
ISIS has been a rapidly increasing threat to not just the United States of America, but the entire world. ISIS has done countless brutal, sick, heart wrenching things that have caused a national and international uproar in the citizens of numerous countries. ISIS considers them the Islamic State, and they seem to have many motives. They basically want a large portion of the Middle east under ISIS control and for the rest of the world to accept their disgusting “traditions” as they claim they are doing, This threat has done some very unspeakable things; the problem needs to be solved. Considering the view the United State holds right now, there are a few actions that can be taken to reduce this threat that ISIS presents. ISIS has rapidly become an enormous problem for most of, if not all of the world. There are some very simple and some very complicated ways to solves this problem. The most efficient way is to simple go to war with ISIS and physically, mentally and emotionally destroy everything and everyone that is supporting this cause, another way is to give them what they desire to have, finally the last option is just completely ignore the foreign issue until it presents itself on U.S. soil. After an online video emerged on Tuesday, January 21st, 2015, showing ISIS threatening to kill two Japanese hostages, relatively little was known about the relationship between the two prisoners. But Reuters News revealed later that next day
In my opinion I argue that U.S. policy and practice indeed has placed too much emphasis on fighting al Qaeda, to the point that we still see today how it has negatively impacted our economic infrastructure and global presence, rather than managing the broader issues of terrorism. Although it was only natural that the American government would retaliate after the event that was 9/11, the combined losses of lives, finances, and other resources and human rights violations caused by continuous investment in the war against terrorism far exceeded what is considered rational and reasonable by many people. Despite the severe costs of this ongoing battle, I and many others suspect that America is only going to continue to burden itself until we see a formal defeat of the enemy, unfortunately because of our constant meddling in the middle east we only ended up playing a part in influencing the creation of more Islamic extremist groups like for example ISIS/ISIL.
Terrorism is the worst thing in our day and age innocent lives getting killed for something they didn't do. People should live their lives in peace and not have to fear about getting bombed or shot. I am very fortunate to live in a little village that wouldn't ever have a chance of getting attacked, but think about other countries that fear for their lives every day. They don't deserve that kind of treatment they should be able to sleep at night knowing that they are safe. Terrorism is definitely my biggest fear, as Paul Wilkinson once “fighting terrorism is like a goalkeeper you can make a hundred brilliant saves but the only one that matters is the one that gets past you.”
Dogma is a "Lionsgate" film which was released in 1999. The film was directed by Kevin Smith, director of "Cleerks" and "Mallrats", two outstanding comedy films. This comedy is the story about two renegade angels (Bartleby and Loki) who were ejected from the Heaven after insulting God. Both, were exiled to Winconsin for all the eternity, without any possibility to return home. This fact change radically when they received a letter informing them to a Catholic Church dogma, which would allows them to return to Heaven, with a dramatic consequence, the annihilation and eradication of any form of life.
8th, this could come at the price of developed territory for us and our allies. The U.S. governs a lot of land in the Middle East that could be easily raided by ISIS, and if we started a massive war with them they wouldn’t hesitate to do so.
Do you think ISIS will ever attack the United States. ISIS has been around for over 15 years. Many troops have tried to stop ISIS, but yet no one has accomplished it . ISIS needs to end because they are killing too many people.
These extremist are cowards, their ideology and beliefs are inferior to ours, their will to destroy the American way of life will ultimately be their downfall. This isn't a war of attrition, but a war for survival and rest assure America will win this war! Long after these extremist, their barbaric ideology, and their asinine causes have been discarded from history; America will still be here shining brighter than
Many see propaganda as undermining reason. Propaganda works with the emotions to get a mass to do a certain action. Since propaganda tries to remain hidden, are there any in the world who see it and try to uncover such propaganda? Satirical television and radio shows as well as newspapers challenge the conceptions of which we take for granted and of which are propaganda. How does satire function in relation to propaganda?
