Isis has 30,000 fighters( “Isis trail of terror”). February 2015, Isis had 20,00 more foreign fighters who had come to help( “Isis trail of terror”). Not including 150 from the United State. Isis is spreading into Syria, Iraq, and towards Baghdad tormenting the sick, and killing people till they decide to join their side ( “Isis trail of terror”).Obama said, “ Let's be clear about Isis, they have rampaged across cities beheading people in cowardly acts of violence.”( “Isis trail of terror”). Isis is growing bigger and bigger each second, and only we can stop it. However,Isis will kill anyone not on their side. They have brutally murdered countless Christians ( “Isis trail of terror”). November 2012 an american journalist James Foley was held hostage and later killed on camera by the terror group.( Isis trail of terror”). Isis had another hostage, 26 year old Kayla Mueller, she died because america didn't stop attacking Isis.( Isis trail of terror”). Isis is a group who will fight till there's nothing left to fight
During ISIS’s rise to power, there have been several key players, which have influenced the growth or decline of its movement. The center of Gravity (COG) for ISIS has been its ability to recruit volunteer foreign fighters from around to engage in its caliphate. In addition, local people from Iraqi, Syrian, and other Nations have been key players because of ISIS’s efforts promote fear and violence against their family or communities. Sunnis and Shia countries focused on regional power and security. Furthermore, the U.S. and its 70 Allies through Operation Inherent Resolve Campaign aim to defeat ISIS and promoting regional stability. The last key players are rival terrorist franchises or organizations like AQ, Taliban, Al Shabaab, and Hamas
continues to grow and threaten the stability of Iraq and neighboring Syria, the U.S. has again
President Obama is one of those people who does not obtain the desire to send troops to fight Isis, for he expresses this opinion in his statement, “This is not a traditional military opponent, we can retake territory and as long as we keep our troops there we can hold it. But that does not solve the underlying problem of eliminating the dynamics that are producing these kinds of violent, extremist groups,” (“Obama Won’t Send,” 2015). President Obama has been faced with war decisions on terrorism prior to Isis with the terrorist group, Al Qaeda. When Barack Obama became president, he sent most of America’s ground troops in Iraq home to their families. He then announced the United States was no longer pursuing a War on Terror, but rather focusing the military on specific enemies. This war tactic ended in success, given the Navy SEALs raided the Al Qaeda leader’s compound. Navy SEALs then shot and killed Al Qaeda’s leader, Osama Bin
The United States, with its coalition partners, has committed to degrade and destroy the terrorist group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). This group poses a threat to the people of the Middle East, as well as to the United States, our allies, and interests in the region. If this terrorist organization is left uninterrupted, ISIL will grow, threatening the surrounding areas of the Middle East, our allies abroad, and the United States.
ISIS is a terrorist group and will keep doing what they are doing and will not stop. The brutality of the Islamic State knows no limits. The mission of ISIS is to annihilate all Christians and all people who do not bow down to the caliphate. They will behead anyone who goes against what they believe, including little children and Americans. ISIS will take little boys and train them into killers just by the age of eight. How scary is that? You go out to fight a war against these people and you see a little eight-year-old boy holding an AK-47. It makes you not even think twice about who ISIS really is and what they are really wanting to do with the world. They will not stop until everyone is under their power. They will only get bigger from here and on and the United States needs to realize
The war on Isis is a very sad and terrible thing. I feel as though I should tell you about it though, to give you a better understanding. The war on Isis stretches all across the middle east and other parts of the world such as Germany and Belgium. Many other countries besides the U.S are at war with Isis. Many countries hate Isis because of their terror. Isis is very similar to a terrorist group led by Osama bin Laden called Al-Queda. They want people to cower down in fear of them. The countries at war with them will not cower down in fear. We have showed that we are strong together and will fight against them.
on September 11, 2001, the United States invades Afghanistan, also known as Operation Enduring Freedom. The U.S. and British forces start an aerial bombing campaign against Taliban and Al-Qaeda camps, followed by ground troops. By November, the Afghan capital of Kabul had already fallen. In December, Osama bin Laden was believed to have escaped to Pakistan. Also, in 2003 launched its campaign in Iraq, under the assertion that Iraq was a harbor of terrorists and that Saddam Hussein contained weapons of mass destruction. Almost ten years later, on May 2, 2011 the United States had successfully killed Osama bin Laden and had already killed Saddam Hussein in 2006. In 2014, Afghanistan and the U.S. signed an agreement which allowed the U.S. to remain in Afghanistan until 2024. (Phillip Margulies, 2003). However, by this time the U.S. was still not over with combating terrorism. Inspired by Al-Qaeda, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria emerged in 2013 and 2014, more commonly known as ISIS. ISIS became infamous when it drove out Iraq government officials in 2014. From 2014 to now, ISIS has been the U.S.’s prime target. Since it’s rise to notoriety, ISIS has committed 143 attacks and killed at least 2000 in 29 countries at the time of this writing, according to CNN. (Tim Lister, Ray Sanchez, Mark Bixler, Sean O'Key, Michael Hogenmiller and Mohammed Tawfeeq, 2017). Because of the threat of safety at home and across the globe, the
Everyday innocent people are dying for no reason. A rising terrorist group called Isis is responsible for this and they need to be stopped.A group called Isis has been active since 1999 but most recently has seen a huge growth. So far little has been to stop them and it is time to do more about it. I’m not talking about more air strikes it is time to step up our game and send ground troops to defeat these monster once and for all. Isis is responsible for many death and many horrific terrorist attacks. According to a CNN poll 68% say America's military response to the terrorist group thus far has not been aggressive enough. In this paper we will look at that America thinks it time to send ground troops, how people don't think Obama doing enough, and finally all the harm Isis is doing. The U.S need to send ground troops to fight Isis.
ISIS or commonly known as “ISIL” poses a huge threat to the United States today. Currently as the National Interest says “ISIS currently controls thousands of square miles of ungoverned territory”(Gottlieb 2017).
During the round table discussion, I learned many things about what’s really going on with Isis and the possible results of this terrorism. Some things I absorbed from Isis consist of how they want to try and pick a fight with everyone around them and how they are trying to make the end of times occur. The roots of terrorism goes back centuries. Some professors stated that Isis is only trying to get America’s undivided attention by doing all of this unnecessary damage. Dr. Parker claimed that they have enticed the use of social media to inflict fear upon the American population, and those around them. President Obama claimed in a speech that Isis had been contained, and then they attacked Paris which brought complete surprise upon everyone
Nearly 30,000 people have joined ISIS in the past 12 months. ISIS is getting larger every minute. 2The size of ISIS will blow your mind. A year ago ISIS had between 19,000 and 31,000. Now they are saying that ISIS has gone down in size. Today ISIS holds between 20,000 and 25,000 people in this terrorist group. They don't all go over to one spot for an attack. They send about 5,000 isis fighters to a spot. They don't all go
When it comes to ISIS, there is only so much we can do, as they are evolving into a more powerful and elusive
We are not doing anything to stop them. “It’s been two years since ISIS declared its so called caliphate”(Miller 1). ISIS hasn’t yet declared their Caliphate. They haven’t invaded again. Running away from one evil may evolve into running away from lots of evil minds. “The product of one evil mind”(Miller 1). Miller is describing that it only takes one to start something bad. Like one can enforce another to do the same. Turkey is a victim of ISIS because they didn’t fight back. “Turkey itself is a victim of ISIS”(Miller 1). Turkey was attacked by the ISIS group. ISIS attacked Turkey as their first target. Therefore, we need to stop
"CAN ISIS Be Stopped...” depicts that it is going to take much more than just an army to defeat ISIS from the terror that they spread with their violence (Brown 8+).Through sophisticated social media programs targeting disaffected Muslims around the globe, ISIS has attracted thousands of recruits worldwide--including an estimated 4,000 Westerners, about 250 of them American (Brown 8+). The U.S. must rekindle with longtime rivals, such as Russia, and other countries to stop this jihadist military group (Brown 8+). The one thing word leaders will agree upon is that ISIS must be stopped! ISIS is only growing in power which makes them more of a threat (Brown 8+). The terrorist group has already began takeover of parts of Syria and Iraq as a step
ISIS is a group of people that are very bad and heartless. According to Obama " No faith teaches people to massacre innocents". ISIS, the group of terrorist use extreme violence against their enemies. They also plan brutal attacks, like the Paris attack. They don’t care if you didn’t do anything to them, they are still going to kill you no matter what. I personally think that there should be an end to all of this. ISIS has hurt a lot of innocent people. They have destroyed and damaged a lot of things. But they don’t care at all. I srtongeley dislike ISIS. I've always wondered why they do all of this? What's the cause and affect of it. Is there ever going to be a stop to it? Why do they hate us? Why do they hate people? Hopefully there's
