I have grown up on my family farm outside of Albert Lea MN for my whole life. I have always taken a special interest in the beef cattle on our farm. I currently manage all of the herd records, and own part of the business. Throughout my SAE project through FFA, I started my own herd as well. I work extremely hard on our farm with the beef chores. I also help out with the crop farming on my farm by running tractors and watching bins. Because I have such an interest in cattle, I started working on a dairy farm two years ago. I currently milk 150 cows before, and after school everyday. I take a lot of time with my school studies as well. I maintain a 4.0 even while taking numerous college classes, and working. One of my greatest passions while in school has been FFA. I have served as the historian and the President of our …show more content…
I have shown beef and dairy cattle for 5 years. This is certainly my biggest passion. I love spending my summers traveling with my family and cows to cattle shows across the state. I also mentor young kids in the beef project, and help them get started by supplying them with a cow to show for the following year. I will be serving as the 4H president this upcoming year. I have a very busy life but I always find time for faith in my life. I became a Sunday school this past year after being confirmed. I currently teach pre-school and 3rd graders every Wednesday. After graduating from high school, I plan to attend the UWRF for my undergraduate degree in Pre Veterinary medicine. I than will apply for vet school. I hope to someday become a vet and travel out to large ranches to work on a beef farm as their vet. After traveling for awhile, I would love to come back to my hometown to serve as the local vet. I hope to someday take over the family farm alongside my brothers and keep the family farm in the family name. I hope to continue to grow my own herd of cattle as well and pursue every dream I have in the
FBLA membership has benefitted me because I can truly say it led me to my career choice. Junior year I had the opportunity to participate in the SBE Program at the Ste. Genevieve Care Center. By being a part of this program, I was required to join FBLA. Although FBLA was an organization I had wanted to join for a while, I needed a push to get involved in the club. Being involved in this club was one of the greatest decisions I have made during my high school career. My first year in the organization, I competed in the straight to state event, Social Media Campaign. Due to this participation, I attended the District Leadership Conference where I was a timekeeper and the State Leadership Conference, where my partner and I presented our project. The State Leadership Conference was a memorable event as it was different than any other conference I had attended before. That year I also served on multiple committees and assisted in the decorating of the Senior Citizen’s Christmas Dinner.
Statistics have shown that students who participate in an after-school club during high school show better academic performance and it also gave them a feeling of closeness to other members of the club. High school experience is much more enjoyable if a student is involved in an extracurricular activity. Students will know where they belong, and their once felt loneliness will be gone. California Scholarship Federation (CSF) is a state-wide organization that engages in many fun service programs throughout the year. In addition to that, CSF recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements. CSF welcomes students from freshmen to seniors, and rewards members for doing good deeds. The number one thing I want to accomplish before I graduate from high school is to become the president of CSF club because I enjoy giving volunteer services to my community and it's a perfect opportunity for me to meet new friends.
I see myself going in many different directions, but how I get there is pretty clear. I am going to Iowa State University and major in Agricultural Business for the first four years after high school. I plan to maintain my high marks in college as I did in high school. During college I hope to take on internships at businesses that I may have a possible career at. One of my main goals when looking for a career after college is to find a job that is both challenging and allows me to make the biggest impact on agriculture I am capable of. It is important to me to do something that I love because that is how I know I will reach my greatest potential. While I may not know what the future holds for me and my career, I do know that I will be making positive influence on the world of agriculture and the lives around
There are few certainties of what one will encounter during life. A common joke names two: death and
As a transfer student, I want to feel California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) such as my home. Being ambassador, it is the best to learn about my school, share my experiences, motivate other students to work towards their goals, look for help if they need, show other students our school's resources, and make others feel special for being part of CSUF.
Throughout my life, I have been a sedulous and efficient worker. I have earned these qualities with my difficult courses in school and my involvement in FBLA. My difficult course load and involvement in FBLA has given me the qualities sought out by NHS: scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
I am interested in becoming a member of FLOC because I know I have the potential to succeed as a leader at University of Texas at Arlington. My skills as a speaker and a guide make leadership something I can utilize to inspire those who follow me.
A leader must be dedicated to serving their community, which is something that FBLA has forever instilled in me. In less than two years, I have completed over 300 hours of diverse community service. I am a competitive swim coach at my local YMCA, where I have the privilege of helping young athletes achieve their goals. I enthusiastically participate in my local chapter’s community service events, such as the law enforcement appreciation dinner, Community Service Day, and Wildcat Christmas.

20 years ago, I was born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Soon after, my single mother took me back with her to Mexico City. This was the the place I called home for 17 years, until I decided to pursue my dreams of becoming a businessman. I was received by my grandma’s sister, and her boyfriend in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. I graduated with High Honors, but faced a big problem. I had been kicked out of the house for reasons out of my control right before graduating. I spent days couch surfing with friends until I was able to find UIC. As of today, I have no contact with any family, thus I take care of myself in all aspects. Fortunately, soon after high school graduation, I got accepted into the highly selective Business Scholars Program and became a Peer Mentor. With that in hand, I’m able to study and have a place to stay.
Hope this email finds you all well! When I received the waiting list letter from WFU, I felt sort of disappointed at first; then I quickly changed it into my motivation to make myself better to seize my chance to get into my No.1 choice school.
As a 17-year-old about to graduate high school, I had no idea what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. When I applied for UNF, I listed my major as exploratory since nothing was popping out at me. I discovered my passion what I want to do for the rest of my life halfway through fall semester, even though I still feel ignorant since I have only scratched the surface. After learning about the construction department at UNF, I shadowed a project manager back home and ran for project manager in my pledge class.
My main passion is simply the word Agriculture. I am raised in the world of Ag, and I plan to pursue a career in the near future. I show livestock all year round this would include; Beef cattle, Boer goats, Pygmy goats, and Pigs. I enjoy every moment of this experience. The banners and trophies I get awarded for all my hard work getting the animal prepared for presentation. All this enjoyment I participate in 4-H and open shows I can take part in the years. Besides enjoying it in that way I want to further my education in Animal Science Ruminant Nutritionist. In case you question on what would I do in that field. For myself I would be completing or mixing new feeds to ensure our livestock are growing healthy and strong for human consumption.
In our lives, we have to make important choices, and sometimes our choices determine our happiness or sadness. As a Filipino, our families tell us to do well in school and to not make bad choices because they want us to be successful and to have ethical morals. Growing up as a Catholic, I was taught to be obedient and respectful to my family which has shaped who I am today. Yet, I too made some mistakes, and I learned from the consequences. From my failures, I learned to not belittle myself, but to grow.
