Hi guys! This past weekend we were graced with a much needed fall break. After a few weeks of constant studying, it was nice to have a four day weekend to sit back and relax. After my two tests on Friday I drove seven hours to meet my dad and my girlfriend's dad in Pittsfield Illinois for a few day hunting trip at a lease that my dad has. It was a long drive, but it was worth it when I arrived to a 16oz prime rib at one of my favorite restaurants, the Red Dome. Unfortunately the corn and soybeans had not yet been cut around our farm so we did not see as many deer as usual, but we still had fun and relaxed for a few days. We hunted on Saturday and Sunday before driving home on Monday so that I could surprise my girlfriend and see her
Monday morning Maddie woke up a little after six thirty. It was clear to her that she would be late but she didn't really care. There was so much going on. She spent most of her shower wondering what was going on with Elijah and his siblings. Quickly, she got dressed in a white blouse that had opened shoulders, skinny jeans and her white converse shoes. She got her stuff before leaving the house quickly. By the time she was driving away from Starbucks, first period had begun but she didn't really care.
Only one of my friends is in to hiking. The other, well they do not mind it, but they do not get out a lot. Same with me, I would love to, but it is very rare that I have a full day off, and have people who want to go with. That why I chose to do my practice journey during my March Break, and told my friends they had to do it with me. So during the Tuesday (one of the three days I had off work) I packed a hiking bag, picked them up, grabbed Pita Pit for lunch, and drove up the mountain.
Anyway, after that, we went shopping for food for the week. That was pretty boring. We got home and sat around for a while, and a little longer,
Everything you would expect in a perfect person. Perfect hair, perfect eyes, and a perfect at everything. That was a guy by the name of Drake.
Going into the fall 2014 semester, my family was not in a good place financially, and I was not mentally. Our income had been reduced, meaning I had to step up to help my family. This caused my already weakened mental state to become even more strained and took a toll on me physically. I was not able to concentrate on anything at school, work, and home, it was almost in a blur. When I resigned from the fall 2014 semester, I knew it was something that was needed to make sure I stayed healthy, mentally and physically. Two years went by and I found myself in a better place. Going into the fall 2016 semester, I found the perfect balance between studying, work, and home life. In the end I exceeded all the expectations I had set for myself in every
So I was talking to my friend Ryker on 5th street the same street I live on when out of the blue I heard B OOM.one of my brother and sister daycare provider gave me ride to where the sound was coming from. I asked him what was going on he responded “if you heard that crash that was your cousin hit van” I replied by saying “her breaks weren’t working that well an…” he stopped me “you were watching her” I responded back by say “I told her not to RIDE DOWN HILL. But she didn’t listen to me and I knew something like that happen if she didn’t listen to me” replied “should of told your papa” I said “I know”.
Swish, tumble tumble, crash. I could just tell by the way I fell that something was wrong. Very wong. But I decided to just keep going even though it hurt. I was at the Jackson Hole ski mountain and was on the Rendezvous bowl with the Jackson Hole ski and snowboard team.
It started when i was three years old, I lived in Copperas Cove, Texas. My dad had my older brother, Trevor 3 years before I was born. Dad and my mother had divorced so it was just my dad and me for a couple of years. We were best friends and did everything together. I was his favorite person in the world. He met Alison when I was three-years-old she was super nice and took me under her wing, we turned into a trio, but my dad and I always had our special bond. In the spring of 2006 my dad found out he would be deploying to Iraq for his second time. He had deployed for a year when I was a baby, too early to remember. My dad and Alison had made the plan for her to move back to Maine while he was deployed, and I was going to stay with my Aunt
In the eighties, I was a young police officer and a high-school athletic coach. In the fall, one night during wrestling season I had an experience that would change my life and Worldview forever, that fateful night would change numerous perspectives, perceptions and lives both young and old.
BANG! BANG! BANG! Was the sound I was use to waking up every morning. It was early in the morning I dreaded our early morning skate. Going from a hot humid day to cool ice rink is very refreshing. This year was voted captain, something that I was very proud of. We had a game this wednesday evening. The team we were playing were animals every one of them. The sport those boys played was more like cage fighting than hockey. When we were warming up Jack, the captain on the other team came over to me, he has always been a bully in a way.
Fall is fast approaching and that means it's time for sweaters, scarves and boots! I love Fall, the temperature is perfection. The heat and I do not get along, however the cool, crisp air and I are BFF.
I am an introvert who values my personal space and alone time. However, I haven’t had much of either in the last few weeks. Since moving into my dorm at the University of Georgia, the last few weeks have been a rush. Every day has been a combination of classes, homework, running to stores, catching buses, and meeting friends. This isn’t a complaint. I love the freedom and figuring out how to handle more responsibility. I love being around other people and having friends that are always up for watching a movie I’ve yet to see or playing a match of Super Smash Bros. The first two weeks have rushed by and there hasn’t been a moment to just pause and take in everything that has happened so far.
My favorite memory is my trip to Branson over 2018 Spring Break. It is my favorite memory because I spent time with family I don’t usually get to see. We went swimming, to a zoo, and out for ice cream. My cousin told me that for my birthday in May we could go back and I could skip school but this time we go, we would go to Silver Dollar City!
Hey guys, Austin here again. Today, I am going to talk to you all about my holiday break. So first off, I went over to my Aunt Linda's house and we had a large feast. There was ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, mac n' cheese, pie, cake, cookies, and a ton of drinks. After we had the food, I went with the littler kids, and drew my great grandma Jones a few drawings to put on her fridge. After that we just talked about PC games and drank Cheerwine, which is a southern drink. It is like Dr. Pepper, but it tastes way better and is made with cherries. We went home, and I played on my PC, while Skyping with friends. I went over to my grandma's house and checked on the fishing boat we got for the Summer.
After about 5 minutes of walking, we stopped and sat down just along the water's edge; Grayson and Elaine sat across from me, a small fire we started in the middle.
