You'll be seen in cemeteries copying information onto tablets. Pictures of headstones will start appearing on your blog posts. Older family members will begin to look forward to your "long verbal communications" and graphic visits. They may wonder how you can talk so much and ask so many questions, and it's all fun.
My family history has influenced who I am today due to the fact that I have descended from a long line of artistic people. On my mother’s side, there have been many who have worked with painting, music, drawing, dancing, and even film production. From day one in school I have loved the arts and have found that it is my passion. Both my parents have been highly supportive of wanted to continue my love of dance during and after college and also with pursuing it as a career. Not only that, but I have lived in Pittsboro, North Carolina all my life and stayed within the school systems in the county moving from elementary, to middle, to now high school. I have been very fortunate to have gone to schools that are highly oriented with the arts. Starting in elementary school with playing the recorder, I moved up to play the flute in sixth
When I enrolled in Columbia southern college to further my education, the enrollment counselor told me I needed 6 credits of history. The first thought that popped into my mind was; “I do not need to learn anything else about history at this point in my life/career, I have learned all I needed to know about history in grade school and high school”. After multiple failed attempts at trying to convince my counselor why I should not have to take history, I realizing that there was no way around taking this course. As I began to read over the syllabus and the unit assignments, I began to have an open mind and second thoughts about the course. I was intrigued by unit 1 scholarly activity; answer the following question in your own words: “Why
For my genius hour project, I decided that I am going to researching my family history and my family past, where my family is from. It sounds really cool to learn about my family history and where they came from? I really want to know where my family is from because I want to know where I am also from and what I have parts of the world are in me. I know that most of my family is from Europe, that is all I really knew before I started this project. But I did not know what parts of Europe my family came from. I really wish that I could know where all of my family is from and what their last names mean. My thesis for the genius hour project is to find out where my family came from, how old they were when they came to America. And did my family
In a few brief moments, I will be leaving the my family in order to fight for the kingdom of Heaven and the glory of Christ. My father would expect me to fight for the Holy Kingdom. He had fought gloriously as well, and at this moment, he is smiling at me from the heavenly skies. The king himself had given the a nobility title for his heroic deeds in battles. Unlike others, he did not simply buy the title, which is why he is my inspiration [Nobility of the Sword]. I say farewell to my wife, Alice, and four children. I give advice to Alice and tell her what she should do in order to support herself and the children. I told her that I expect her to continue raising the kids, teaching them about the passion

Back in the day, families would immigrate from foreign places like Germany, Ireland, Poland, etc. for a more superior life. Even today, many people still relocate from place to place as immigrants to improve their situation. My ancestors moved from Germany to Erie, Pennsylvania to Pittsburgh for several reasons such as lack of opportunity and compulsory military services.
Having a basic understanding of one's own family history is essential since it allows us to know our origin, as well as our roots. The Barron- Hernandez family dealt with numerous hardships, but were capable of overcoming them by staying strong. This journey of self-discovery unveiled fascinating stories regarding my own family history. My maternal side of the family consists of my grandmother, Belen Alvarez, and my grandfather, Victor Hernandez. Together they had a total of eleven children, in which includes my mother Bertha. Belen at a young age was left an orphan and was left to fend for herself all throughout her childhood. At the age of fifteen, she was swept off her feet by Victor. There is not much known about the early life of Victor before meeting Belen.
In the very beginning of the winter quarter, I always thought that answering the question or focusing on the purpose of the essay was what makes a good writing. I was never interested in the writing process and just saw essays as another assignment I needed to complete. However, throughout the quarter with different writing assignments, I started to grow an attachment to writing. This was possibly due to the central topic of the class was around migration/immigration. As a son coming from parents who were international students, I found an interest and attachment discussing about the topic of immigration and migration. MyWritingLab allowed for improvement on grammatical errors and understanding concepts behind each written works. Writing resumes
The two groups of people that I focus on for this project are my maternal grandparents and my parents. I specifically focus on these two groups because they allow me to understand how decisions about educational investment and labor market experiences differed between the genders across generations. They also allow me to understand whether other social institutions like marriage, which determines existence of a household, had changed across time.

Ever since I was born my mother has been supporting our family all by herself. She so often asked for help from family members and friends, but ultimately she was the one holding our family together. When I was younger, I never actually understood how bad my mother was struggling to keep our family together. I’ve never seen her cry, or break down over the stress she is under. I always thought my life was great until I got older and started realizing that there’s more to the story. I’m very grateful to have everything that I have, but it’s not the same when I see others with a better.
