Did you ever wonder what was trending in the 1960’s and what people were into back then or what was shown in the magazines? The trends were showing them what people were wearing and what they were getting to be “cool”. Teens would like to know what was in style and what were new things they could do and what cool things came out and everyone else is getting. This explains that teens and young adults wanted to “fit in” with everyone else and wanted the newest thing out. Not many older people understood them and their generation had quite a few trends older people didn’t understand. This is saying that not everyone understood the trends and mostly younger people understood them and thought it was a fun thing to do and. The 1960's were a time of upheaval in society, fashion, attitudes and especially music. Music was a popular trend in magazines too, and new singers,bands were popular and many people liked. The flux of fashion is especially obvious for popular music. Some topics became rarer, others became more common. Music being, is a big trend that was in the magazines and there were different topics of the popular music. As the late fifties gave way to the early sixties, the rockabilly stars of the previous decade, the older pop-music stars were fading away as they struggled to find material.
