“The Last Hamburger Stand Since 1952” is the proud motto of one of my most favorite eateries, FATBURGER! Fatburger is a burger joint that focuses mainly on hamburgers that vary from small to large and quantities from two or three beef patties. They also offer non beef hamburgers such as chicken, veggie, and turkey. There is an array of toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, eggs, bacon, and relish to name a few. My favorite location sits right inside the casino, Wild Horse Pass. Surrounded by the sounds of slot machines, roulette tables, and music, makes eating my fatburger that much more enjoyable. The concept of “building” your burger to your liking is amusing. Here is my construction. We begin with a nice toasted …show more content…
Charles and his wife took ownership of 4 locations and Lovie maintained the original location. Dropping the “Mr” to the title the original Fatburger commenced. In 1973 Lovie opened her second Fatburger site on La Cienaga Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California. The location became a popular place for famous entertainers such as comedian Redd Foxx, singer Ray Charles, and many others. By 1985 there were fifteen franchise sites throughout Southern California.
“Over the years, Fatburger has been immortalized in a string of songs, movies, and TV shows, including the sitcom Sanford and Son, the film The Fast and the Furious, and the Ice Cube single, “It Was a Good Day.” - Lovie Yancey (1912–2008)
Fatburger locations have expanded greatly since its founding. One in particular resides in Chandler, Arizona right inside the Wild Horse Pass Casino, my favorite place to enjoy my

My favorite booth is the one with the view right in front of the open kitchen. It’s a reminder that I have finally arrived to “The Last Great hamburger Stand” (whyfatburger). The sound of burgers searing on the grill and the smell of smoke that infiltrates your senses accelerates the anticipation for that first bite. The menu is centered mainly on hamburgers but a choice of chicken, veggie or turkey is also available. Fries and sides include onion rings or chili cheese and for drinks, hand scooped shakes or fountain drinks. The most popular items are usually the XL or XXL beef patties with fat fries and a chocolate shake on the side. The onion rings are my personal favorite. Fried to a nice crisp and golden brown coating, it’s heavenly. I have recommended family, friends, and co-workers to give it a try! If they don’t take my word for it I easily direct them to read the online reviews. Trip advisor is a website helpful for planning possible future visits. It contains recommendations and reviews from previous visitors. One review from Phoenix, Arizona reads, “I had my very first FatBurger at Wild Horse Pass Casino. I actually drove there for just the burger. I wasn't disappointed…” Another review from Indio, California states, “We had burgers and fries. While I ordered the Skinny Burger and Skinny Fries, it was more than enough! And they were delicious!” The menu accommodates everyone, from
All throughout California, fast food restaurants were popping up everywhere. Most of the fast food restaurants that are popular today, were the main self service restaurants that fueled California's economy when the fast food industry first started. Those restaurants include Mcdonald’s, Dunkin Donuts , Taco Bell, Domino’s and KFC. Schlosser also goes into detail about
In today's extremely competitive business environment, there are numerous fast food outlets. But when it comes to fast food, we cannot forget to mention In-N-Out Burger, Inc. It is a private and family owned company. Harry Snyder and Esther Snyder started the brand in 1948. Headquarter is located in Irvine, California. They opened their first drive-thru restaurant on Francisquito Ave. and Garvey Ave. in Baldwin Park, California (www.in-n-out.com). Three years later, in 1951, Harry and Esther opened their second restaurant, and then they started accumulating profits for reinvestment and step-by-step growing. In 1976, Harry Snyder passed away because of lung cancer. During that time, there were only 18 units opened. Then,

I loved that each of the 3 times I've visited this location, I've never had to wait in line anymore than 3-4 minutes. I have had their chicken wrap and the chicken bowl and both were very good, but in my opinion, the reason this place is so famous is because of their sauces. They have two, the Garlic, and the spicy. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT ask for extra hot sauce as it will literally give you a tummy ache, and most likely force you to trash
Five Guys first began when the father of the four young Murrell brothers told them that they could either “start a business or go to college.” (“About Us”) Jerry Murrell, the father, had learned how to cook by cooking for a University of Michigan frat-house. He admired the boardwalk fries at Ocean City, which were always cooked right with “high-quality potato, peanut oil … I thought a good hamburger-and-fry place could make it.” (Welch, “How I Did It: Jerry Murrell, Five Guys Burgers and Fries”) And so, their first restaurant opened in 1986 in Arlington, Virginia. The place was later named Five Guys after the fact that it was started by five guys: the father and his four sons.
We offer a super fun dining experience from start to finish. It all begins with ordering. Instead of coming into the dining room, standing in line and placing an order, one of our friendly staff comes out to the car to take your order. Place an order for one of our burgers, such as the Big Dude, or one try one of our famous pastrami sandwiches. No matter what you choose, it will be cooked to perfection, and it will be a treat for the taste buds. Some golden
Fast Food Nation begins with a discussion of Carl N. Karcher and the McDonalds brothers, studying their roles as pioneers of the fast-food industry in southern California. This discussion is followed by an examination of Ray Kroc and Walt Disney's complicated relationship, as well as each

Location- The relative location that Eric Schlosser focuses on in Fast food nation is Colorado’s cities such as: Denver, Colorado Springs, and Fort Collins. Another relative location is where they opened the first McDonalds in Des Plaines, IL.
Holy Smoke’s American Bistro, in Palm Beach Gardens, serves incredible, crave-worthy American-style eats in its friendly and relaxing restaurant. The legendary fried pickles in dill breading and the Baja fish tacos in soft shells topped with pineapple, chipotle cilantro and tequila lime slaw are delicious and fun to share appetizers. Some of Holy Smoke’s American Bistro’s specialty house entrées include the slow-smoked, thin-sliced Texas beef brisket, the rolled eggplant cigars with ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses and slow-cooked in tomato sauce and the crispy, golden brown fish and chips. Juicy hamburgers, such as the blackened New Orleans burger topped with blue cheese and hickory bacon and the Chicago burger topped with mozzarella,
Today what is known as In-N-Out Burger was first founded by Harry Snyder and his wife Esther Snyder in 1948. The first location was in Baldwin Park California (ReferenceforBusiness.com). Now with over 200 locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Texas it has been ranked number one in many polls (ReferenceforBusiness.com). Today its headquarters are in Irvine California.
Many People may have caught them self's standing in long lines or long drive thru lines to be able to get their hands on one of these delouse burgers. Some People even wish they lived on the west coast just to be able to eat one of these famous burgers when ever they wish to. Well in 1948, Harry and Esther Snynder opened their very first IN-N-Out burger at Francisquito and Garvey in Baldwin Park. The restaurant was the first drive-thru hamburger stand in California, allowing drivers to place orders via a two-way speaker system. This was a new and unique idea, since in post-World War II California, carhops were used to take orders and serve food. After their success with they're first restaurant the Snynder's decided to open a second restaurant
I remember my mom had to run some errands around Evanston, and it would be one of the funnest days we would have together. We would stop by at Steak n’ Shake and have lunch. We would talk like we were really close just like friends, but like the bestest of friends. It was a quixotic and indescribable feeling. She listened and I talked. I wished those errands would have kept happening but it stopped. Steak n’ Shake was founded in February, 1934 in Normal, Il. Gus which was the founder wanted the bestest burger so he would buy sirloin, t-bone, and round steaks and grind them into patties in front of his customers. So that they would agree that they were and are quality burgers. It has a 5 star rating in Tripadvisor from 472 reviews. So I guess it’s a good place for food and MILKSHAKES.
When traveling East down State street, you will come across Bristol’s famous sign, “BRISTOL; A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE” with bright lights and arrows to point you to Tennessee and Virginia. The sign happens to sit right on the state line dividing Bristol, VA and Bristol, TN. Little do people living outside of Bristol know, is that this great city has a vast history of business, music, art, racing, and food, of course.
Like a delicious four, for four containing American favorites, burgers, french fries, chicken nuggets and a chocolate frosty on a late Friday night from Wendy’s.
