Deciding between the right decision or the wrong one begins with fear. Fear lives inside of everybody and some people enjoy it more than others. People are naturally attracted to fear, like in horror movies, dark literature, or haunted houses. Being afraid gives people the excitement they don’t normally get in their regular lives. People like to be afraid because of the raw adrenaline that pumps through their veins, the sound of their heartbeat going faster, and the feeling of pure excitement that comes with it.

Known as a mental disorder a phobia is a persistent fear of a specific object, activity, or situation that leads to compelling desire to avoid it. Phobias tend to affect the way people live their lives, for example, their working and social environments, considering that they last for a very long time and are capable to cause intense psychological physical stress. It is considered today the most common mental and anxiety disorder in the United States (Matig Mavissakalian & David H. Barlow 1981 pp 2). There are many phobias such as: the fear of aging, fear of changing, fear of clowns, fear of getting fat, fear of being in closed spaces, etc.

Do all living things fear something? Those with minds surely have many and various fears, but even the simplest organisms must have fear, for fear is such a powerful feeling. Fear is all around us and is felt in every corner of the earth. Fear is the emotion or feeling that a living creature gets when its physical or mental life is interrupted by a change that causes the creature concern.

The other uses data from research they have conducted through interviews of dog owners. Social Darwinism- The theory that people and groups can be thought to be under the same laws of natural selection as all plants and animals. Example: Believing that one race is superior to another. As if it were thought that one race or ethnic group was superior so they claim dominance over others. Reliability- The point to which an instrument of measure give recurrent answers and/or results each time it is used as long as the thing being measured stays the same. Example: The temperature in your vehicles engine stayed the same everyday. A reliable temperature gauge would give you the same temperature reading everyday. Note however, the temperature in the car could be different each day but if the gauge read seventy-five every day it would still be considered reliable. Ethnography- The study of different cultures and the people of the cultures. Example: A college student is visiting a school in a different county to study and take note of the different things going on in the school. Questionnaire- A research instrument including questions in an attempt to gather information. Example: A local gym has had a lot of complaints lately about cleanliness, but the members of the gym have not specified to the staff what needs to change.

Well your brain made a connection that whenever it hears dripping water (conditioned stimuli); your bladder muscle is relaxed (conditioned response). So every time you have to pee, hearing dripping water makes your bladder want to release the tension automatically. As citizens what can we do to stop dog fighting? What can we do to stop dog abuse? Many people think that dog fighting is not a big issue or that there isn’t much to do to stop dog fighting/abuse.

Looking into animal fear/anxiety and anger/aggression is a big outlook into why animals act the way they do and how it takes a toll on their lives. Understanding canine fear and aggression is important for our safety and the dogs. Also by being able to look into canine breed behaviors explains the traits that were studied within foxes. Seeing that canine fear, aggression, and tameness have been traced back to their domestication it easy to see why the study was taken place. The following study also allows the information to be used to explain why fox behavior may vary from tame to aggressive based on the information received within canine DNA and the use of domestication. However, canine genetic mapping has taken place to solve the mystery as to why certain canines experience more aggressive behavior. In addition, researchers were required to look at and map genetic variation among many different breeds (approximately 400 breeds). Seeing that canines are more similar within breeds and more different across breeds this can indeed make it more difficult to research their genetic make-up. Along with the fact that dogs have more phenotypic variation than most other land mammals, which is due to “evolutionary” selection under domestication. Fear is the number one obstacle everyone must overcome at some point in their life. When the word fear is brought up I like to think of past situations that I experienced. There are many different methods used to conquer and learn from our fears such and exposure therapy, having a growth mindset, and thinking positive. For example, when I was younger fear was my worst enemy, School was the main reason that caused my fear. My fear of failure was my biggest obstacle growing up so I used that as a method to learn from my fears.
