The scope of diagnostic radiology can include a basic radiograph or X-ray to more advanced imaging technologies such as ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These advancements in medical imaging have led to early detection and improvements in the diagnosis of many medical conditions across the life span.
