Frank Bruni’s article “Six Long Months of President Trump” uses numerous examples of Donald Trump’s negative impact on America to prove the main argument that Trump has been an ineffective and simply terrible president who has put America in a bad place economically, politically, and socially. Even though most of the article had little evidence and many claims about Trump’s ineffectiveness, there were two pieces of evidence that strengthened Bruni’s argument in the article. Bruni included a short but powerful quote from a journalist who covers Trump, which read “We’re all going to die” (Bruni 4). Even though the journalist exaggerated the impact of Trump’s presidency, the quote still showed how awful of a situation Trump has put Americans
Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign has come at a time after having a president serve for two terms. Americans are eager for change. Donald Trump promises to be the change to fix the nation’s concerns about foreign affairs, and immigration
“The Limit of Trumpism,” discusses how Trump’s agenda has kept him in the presidential election. Many have tried to follow his agendas but have caused them to lose the primaries. The article also demonstrates the limits to Trump. The biggest fault Trump has is reaching minorities. Instead of trying to entice minorities he is bashing immigrants. The author believes that this area of ignorance is causing Trump to lose in the polls.
Maureen Dowd asserts that less in a year into the Trump administration, he has left America disappointed by his blunders. She identifies his unwise decisions and poor judgment calls such as selecting unqualified cabinet leaders, the healthcare bill that worsened the issue rather than fix it, and his broken promise of bringing his business acumen to get D.C. working again. She iterates her disillusionment with Trump’s lackluster performance in order to leave no doubt that he is not the best representative of the United States of America. Dowd directs her letter towards Trump but she desperately pleads with the Americans who are on the fence or defensive of Trump’s suitability for the presidential office to realize his actions are not acceptable.
A little over a week ago, January 20th, marked the 45th president’s inauguration. On this day, many people celebrated and in fact was in full support of HIM, Donald Trump. To some, his “accomplishments” have been successful and will indeed make America “Great Again.” For the rest, the saner, his controversial actions have disgusted not only the people of America, but the people of the world.
Since its conclusion, the 2016 presidential election had proven itself to be one of the most unprecedented elections cycles in recent memory Republican candidate Donald Trump, a self-proclaimed Washington outsider, scored an electoral victory of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton earning him the role as 45th president of the United States. Though Donald Trump was criticized for polarizing the electorate with rhetoric seen as discriminatory, the building of a wall on the United States-Mexico border and banning Muslims entry to the United States, it is inarguable to claim that his rhetoric on economic matter was divisive. In matter of speaking, it could be considered quite appealing. For many in the electorate, just the simple conversation
Donald Trump. He is one of the most spoken about people of our society today and will continue to be spoken about after his presidency term has ended. So, I ask you today without people like Donald trump, would history really be created? Trump entered the White House on the 20th of January “as one of the most unpopular presidents in recent American history”. His unpopularity is due to his agenda that most of America do not agree with. Unlike previous American Presidents such as Benjamin Harrison- Americas 23rd president who is the most forgotten Trump will be remembered for his unusual appearance, wealth, but most of all his controversial ways and obscure ideas. In a short time as president, Donald trump has caused extreme corruption under his Presidency, an example of this is he has gone against the law of Anti-nepotism, a law that has been written for over four decades. Trump has employed his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, as “senior adviser” for the White House. It is written that “Anti-nepotism policies exist to ensure that individuals can't supervise, discipline, work with, or have any influence over the recruitment, salary or promotion of a close relative” . Trump found a loop hole in the law and this will change four decades of laws and Americas history forever. Furthermore, In over 65 countries there are “walls” or “barriers” that divide the countries and of course on the top of the list is America. Less than a week into to his presidency Trump signed documents to construct the wall along the border of Mexico and the US. When announced he said "Beginning today the United States of America gets back control of its borders," "We are going to save lives on both sides of the border." America is well known for their freedom and protection to those who are in need but this will be changed forever due to the construction of the wall,
Bush’s legacy as president has been debated politically among scholars since he left office back in 2009. Bush gained the support of many Americans due to all that was accomplished as president and the legacy he left behind can be seen as beneficial to the United States regarding growth in the economy, war in the Middle East, and the overall well being of the American people. In contrast, some people do not concur with all the decisions that Bush made. Those who are anti-Bush see his two terms as a failure because of the multiple mistakes made that were not beneficial to the United States. Seven articles were written to display facts and examples that criticize, support, and give an opinion somewhere in-between: “George W. Bush’s Damaging Legacy:
The isolation of America in relation to other nations will handicap the citizens of our country; however, President Donald Trump suggests this isolation would “make America great again”. Trump first supports this idea by informing the American people what has taken place in this country due to our interventions in other nations. He notes that “for many decades, we’ve enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry; subsidized the armies of other countries while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military ; we’ve defended other nation’s borders while refusing to defend our own; and spent trillions of dollars overseas while America’s infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay”. He continues,“we’ve made other countries
On a chilly November Tuesday in 2016, the United States made history. Following a divisive year and a half of vitriol, mudslinging, rallies, and protests which occasionally teetered into violence, an exhausted American people elected a president fundamentally different than any who had come before. The forty-fifth president has historically low favorability ratings, and is one of the most distrusted and disliked figures in contemporary American politics. I am talking, of course, about Donald Trump.
The United States of America is the best country in the world, because of its respect for the constitution of the country, its citizens regardless of gender, age, social-economic condition or health condition. Likewise, for the good international relations that it has, for its respect to the agreements that it has made with other countries, as well as the respect to the governments of other nations, for the above-mentioned reasons, we are considered the leading nation in the world and role model to follow. But during the presidential campaign one of the candidates has shown a lack of respect for all these virtues that of the United States of America has, his name Donald Trump. He is a person who does not respect the most essential human values, the international treaties and the civil rights of citizens of United States of America. In this essay, I will describe how Mr. Trump has trashed everything that American citizens are so proud of the United States of America.
My argumentative essay and speech focuses on how well Donald J. Trump is doing in office, and why he is not as poor a leader as some people may think. Trump was elected president on January 20, 2017. Since the time he has stepped into office he has fulfilled several of his promises in such short time. President Trump has canceled the Paris climate agreement; this is good for our country because it does not put a limit on supplies and resources, thus making our U.S. industries more advanced in the world. By creating a law that repeals two regulations every time a new one is created, President Donald Trump abolishes unnecessary and wasteful rules. These changes create less risk of job losses, and more chances of business growth, making this another
Presidential candidate Donald Trump will not take our country to the next level, rather rescind our great nation. His beliefs will only further destroy our already broken homeland. Our nation needs a leader who will fight for equality rather than social injustice throughout our society. We can expect several hardships whether our president be either Democrat or Republican. Although we should understand and accept that Trump’s abusive and abrasive behavior during his 2016 presidential campaign proves that he will not live up to his slogan of “Make America Great Again.” United we stand, divided we
As we learn more about Donald Trump, we begin to realize that he is against many natural rights in which everyone should be able to have. When he speaks, he often does not watch what he says. Although he may have some good ideas, he does not portray them to the media very well. Furthermore, the ideas that he has in order to "improve" the country, are often seen as offensive and unacceptable. Some of the things discussed in the 2016 article penned by Yglesias are policy trade and Trump's ideas. He doesn't know anything about the trade policy and is not able to provide the people with real ideas with facts supporting them. When he is asked about specific situations in which problems in America have occurred, he either states something that has
Donald Trump was elected president of the United States of America on November 8th, 2016, and now has been running our country for over a year. As Trump’s first year in office slowly began, his reputation seems to be creating different outside views of our nation and arguments started producing everywhere. After competing with Hillary Clinton for the presidential term in office, Trump defeated her along with her democratic supporters causing one of the most shocking elections in U.S. history. Using public media web pages, we are reviewing both sides of the argument regarding Trump’s election and we are going to decipher why each arguer supports their side, and why each side is reasonable for the benefit of our country.
Bryson accommodates an unforeseen conclusion that anticipates the vagueness about the indistinctness of human nature itself. Bill Bryson attitude justifies why The National Park Services played a role in extinction and deforestation. If we all played a role we could reduce the risk of extinction of the plants and animals in the parks. We can restore the species that have transpired in the parks and forest that have been lost due to human activities. In the forest deforestation continues to be crucial ecological matter that endangers people’s livelihoods. It threatens species and intensifies global warming. Forest do make a contribute to civilization, but their potential only comprehends how we standstill on deforestation and forest deprivation.
