Title: Freezer Meals
Introduction
Its 3’oclock, the kids will be home from school soon, you have to take one to basketball, the other to soccer practice, and feed your spouse when they arrive home. You don’t want to spend hours cooking a healthy meal but what choice do you have? The children need to eat something healthy and your spouse will want a hot meal on the table when they arrive home after working a grueling 8 hour shift. You look in the pantry, everything located there is not very healthy or will take hours to prepare and make. You could run down to the local hamburger fast food place, but the food they serve is not very good, and definitely not healthy, also after a while it becomes very expensive if you were to do this every time you had a day like this. Then something reminds you, there are bread buns in the bread box, then there is that pulled pork BBQ that you made way to much of two months ago sitting in a baggie in the freezer. There is your dinner! The family will be happy and you can throw it on the stove and cook a quick meal.

You can take these meals out whenever you need. They are quick solution when unexpected guests come over and you wish to offer them food. I search the pantry shelves for flour as my mother, Diana, flips through the notebook full of family recipes. It is a three-day weekend and we are spending the day off together. She finds the recipe for ginger cookies, or as we call them, Nannie cookies, named for my great-grandmother, a truly gifted cook. As we get the ingredients from the pantry, she begins to tell me stories about my great-grandmother Freda, who emigrated from Canada at (?) years old in 192(?) and worked as housekeeper to afford clothes and books for high school. My mother remembers that as an adult, Freda dragged herself around with crutches for a decade before she could get hip replacements in 197(?). Most in her position would have been bedridden. In later life, Freda

The Evangeline annual food drive is a good display of citizenship because of how they are attempting to raise more and more donations for the needy. One way in which the food drive shows good citizenship is through how they are trying to raise interest in the drive itself, and adding incentives for everyone to donate more food. For example, they now have it that if any person donates to the drive, they will get a ballot entered into a chance to win a $100 giftcard. Since the winter is coming, and more people will need food to make it through the cold, and they are needing more and more donations each year, they also added an incentive for parents to have their kids donate, and whichever class raises most gets a prize. Another reason why the

Eating is essential part of our lives, and it is a necessity for human survival as it is for all other living species. While all living organisms need to eat to survive human race has more ways on how to satisfy their eating necessity. Two ways that humans can satisfy their hunger is by making a choice whether they prefer to eat out or stay at home and cook. Eating out has become popular trend in today’s society, especially among younger generations. With wide variety in delicious food offered, and chance to enjoy it with your loved ones, eating out has become primary choice for many busy adults. Eating at home gives us an opportunity to enjoy diverse food choices as well, and it can be also enjoyed with family and friends alike. Cooking is one of the oldest crafts that has been passed down from our older generations, and is still popular among many that enjoy preparing food at home. While eating out and eating at home are similar in variety of delicious foods offered, and chance to share it with our families and friends, nutritional health value choices are different for each of them. Eating out offers less control on nutritionally healthy food choices, and eating at home gives you more control on what kind of nutritional foods are we consuming.
However, England is not well known for its cooking; there is no reason to classify this cuisine to one which contains bad food. The most dishes are easy to prepare and can't be compared by example with the haute cuisine of France and some other popular cuisines like the Italian and the Chinese one. French people can spend hours in preparing food and it is also time consuming. The reason that the English cuisine is not popular can be found in history. The English cuisine has a good reputation during the 18th and 19th century when English cooking was considered as an art. Families moved from the land and started to import food. From that time; the English cuisine is subject of many jokes and this is one of the reasons that it is hard for England
After researching about fast food and understanding how the huge industry works. I can conclude that the effects of eating fast food on a day to day basis are
Mealtime is the perfect time for families to get together, catch up and wind down. This time can be used to catch up with each other and learn new things about the people that we live with and love. Many families feel that there is not enough time in the day to cook and sit down together. In the article “ How Eating at Home Can Save Your Life” written by Mark Hyman, MD he states “Americans spend more time watching cooking on the Food Network, than actually preparing their own meals.” If families are saying there is not enough time to cook a meal and sit down and enjoy it together what does that say about their priorities? Meal time with our families need to become a priority
8. Prep dinners for yourself. The most exceedingly terrible is the point at which you nourish your children and acknowledge you haven't eaten yet — so you at that point need to make a beeline for the kitchen and take 30 minutes or more to make yourself a supper. In
In today’s society, most people plan their daily meals around their busy schedules. Food plays an important role in our lives and most just rely on fast food because it is quicker and easier. However, devouring fast food is one of the worst choices you can make. In order to maintain proper health and prevent numerous illnesses and diseases, consuming healthy homemade meals is definitely a more ideal choice. According to a recent study, “when people cook most of their meals at home, they consume fewer carbohydrates, less sugar and less fat than those who cook less or not at all – even if they are not trying to lose weight” (Wolfson). Because many people work full time and get home very late, people continue to eat it without being aware of how unhealthy it is for you and the health risks that it can eventually bring on. Based on the demand for quality food choices of today’s generation, it is important to compare and contrast the effects of preparing healthy, homemade meals versus relying on fast food restaurants for daily eats.
Eating home-cooked dinners at home gives people control of the types of nutrients they consumed. It also gives them control of how much food they are actually eating. Restaurants do not have to disclose the nutrients or ingredients in the meals that are on the menu. A lot of the meals eaten in a restaurant could have a person over eating or taking in the high amounts of nutrient dense foods. Portion sizes are out of control in restaurants, which can lead to high incidences of obesity, high-cholesterol, and heart disease. Cooking meals at home allows a person to be in control of the portions that he or she eats, and it regulates the quality of food a person might consume.
