The first reason that Friar Lawrence is responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s tragedy, Is that he is a selfish and greedy man. He only wanted to bring them together because he wanted to be the hero of the town. The second reason that Friar Lawrence is responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s tragedy is that he rushes their marriage, He should’ve waited for them to really get to know each other. They’ve kissed twice and never been on a date or even have a normal conversation. Friar Lawrence only rushed them into the marriage because he wants to be the hero as fast as he can, he doesn’t even think to consider the consequences of what he is doing. If the marriage doesn’t work out, He could be forever hated by the families and he wouldn’t be the town hero. Friar Lawrence is a foolish man.
