Does anyone care for Sunday night football? This is not just any Sunday night NFL game, but the biggest sporting event in the world that 151 million people will watch in 232 different countries. (“By the Numbers”). Welcome to the Super Bowl. The huge night that everyone looks forward to is a “billion-dollar economic engine that is bigger than the Gross Domestic Product of many nations” (John 3). Although the Super Bowl is only played once a year, it is the biggest, most-widely known game in American history and the most-widely viewed television spectacle in the world.

Reading the second half of “The A game” took about the same amount of time as reading the first half. Once again, “The A Game” is a book written by Kenneth J. Sufka. The book gives students tips on how to make better grades. The new tips I learned about were developing learning objectives, learning the materials at all levels, using learning checks, and being exam savvy. The first part of “The A Game” was a little more straight forward. The second half is geared more towards the learning process and the right ways to learn something.

It all started as a normal game day. I got up in the morning, took a shower and then proceed to put on my uniform. I put everything on just right to look like the perfect ball player. After that, I went downstairs and get some breakfast. While walking down the stairs, I hear the sound of sizzling bacon and eggs cracking. I also could smell the sweet and delicious waffles being made. When I finally reach the bottom of the stairs, I see my mother making me breakfast as she usually does before a game. "Good morning, are you ready for your game?" she asked. "Of course!" I replied, "I think I might hit a home run today." "Well I better be there to see it," she said happily. She then handed me my breakfast and I went to the table.

In Samuel Beckett’s, Endgame, Nagg presents a comedic joke by saying that "Look at the world—and look at my TROUSERS." (Beckett, 775) This moment is comedic because he’s comparing the creation of the earth to the amount of weeks it took the tailor to make his trousers. Furthermore, this moment affected me emotionally since one of the central themes throughout the story is death. There are many instances of juxtaposes between the earth and the beauty of man’s creation. Hamm, for example, repeatedly states that there is no cure for living on earth and even goes as far as comparing this experience to hell. The way in which Hamm describes the existing environment of living on earth is astounding to hear since this supports the idea that he doesn’t view life as a luxury.

My favorite commercial I liked for the super bowl, was the one about a robbery and using a Prius. The guys robbed a bank and their get away car left them there. So they ran away and searched for a black car but instead found a red Prius and said "It'll have to do" and they took it. They left a full bag of money on the side of the rode for the owner of the Prius to take. They started getting chased by at least 5 cops in the beginning and almost lost them. They were drifting corners to try and lose the cops, and successfully did lose them.

As I dribbled through cones, performed numerous exercises on the agility ladder and meticulously gaged my form as I hurled up ball after ball trying to perfecting my jump shot at midnight, I knew copious other high school, college and NBA basketball players were exerting as much and, if not, more effort and energy in hope of making small strides in their game that would all accumulate and help be a transformed player next season. Basketball, in its purest form, is a team of players that use various plays, technique and strategies to outscore their opponent as well as to stop their opponent from scoring; however, after competitively playing basketball at the high school level and watching the NBA as a fanatic and enthused fan as well as examining other aspects a fan is bound to come across whiles watching the NBA, such as the reporters, seemingly excessive money and how the game is played, it’s as if high school basketball and the NBA are playing two distinct sports.

Last week there was a beam. When the game started we were not working together and we were not doing good and we were losing 3 to 2. We did so bad our coach pulled us in to give us a good talk so we could do better in all.Then next thing you know we were coming back and then my teammate stepped up to the plate and then hit a home run to win the game 5 to 4 baseball game that took place at 1:00 p.m. It was my team and me versus the opposing.

I look up at the clock only to see that the time was just enough to make one offensive push. I look back down at my teammates, making sure they know we need to shift to the final gear. At this point in the game, everybody is thinking, “It’s now or never, one shot and we have to make it count.” Clock now at thirty seconds. I call for a drop, receive the ball, and look for the open player in a scoring position. I see my forward, hit the ball with precision, and curved it right into his chest. My heart races as I can only watch now. My forward passes the ball to the nearest teammate breaking the defense. Goal! We had won. Hard, fun, and intense made that day, a day soccer was being played.
