Gender Inequality In the United States there are many human equal rights for women but they are insufficient to create equality. Despite of many equality rules gender inequality still exists and that’s the fact. In history women were not allowed to study or work. In modern world women are achieving education goals and also working. Does that mean women are getting equal treatments? The answer is no, women are not treated as equally as men. The graduation rates for women are higher then men, but in workplaces you can not see that ratio. There are several reason that encounters for the pay gap but after adjusting all factors this pay exists.
Pay gap has been narrowed in last decade in the United States. Women are not getting paid equally despite of having similar education and skills like male employees, women earn 23% less per dollar than men at many workplaces. Women are supposed to keep up with family responsibilities, which stop women from working more hours or achieving goals and seniority. There are many father contributes time to family care giving but society have more expectations from mother. In workplaces women should also get paid equal if they have equal education and skills as male employees.

The reason why this pay gap exists does expand into other factors such as education, experience, the work being performed, qualifications, age, and ethnicity which are taken into account. Although many people are now bringing up a pay gap between genders, there is something being over looked that proves there isn’t a pay gap, but something else. The Gender Income Gap is a supposed payment gap between men and women, stating that to every man’s dollar a woman only gets payed seventy cents. There is no denying if there is a gender pay gap in America, the real question is why are women still getting paid less than men? Traditionally, women simply can not work as many hours as men due to their first job, being a mother. But is this the only reason women are not making the same income as a man with the same job position and education level? The pay gap between men and women has become quite a topic today. The difference in pay are very common now in many career paths where men and women are doing the same work amount. It is rare to think that when men and women are performing the same task and are just as qualified as each other that they would get paid the same.
There are a million and one gender inequality issues taken place locally and globally each day. Many of these issues vary in degree and intensity across different countries. The gender wage gap and educational gender gap are by far one of the main inequalities, which undoubtedly affects women and in many cases minorities. Pay equity is greatly deprived in North and South America, the Middle east and Asia. Asia is the largest continent containing approximately 60 percent of the world’s population and with Indonesia being the fourth most populated nation in the world, the women are discriminated against in both work and school environments. As we can see the chart, salary disparities still persist between male and female employees in our society. Women make up nearly half of the United States labor force, and the number of female workers is still growing. The workers are categorized by education level in this chart. Therefore, this chart clarifies one of the common myths: “Women earn less because they tend to have low-paying occupations while more men are in high-paying fields.”
The word “gap” is defined as a wide divergence or difference. For as long as time has existed, there has been great tension between the sexes. This is a problem in the US due to the inequality of salary with gender, race/ethnicity, and education. This salary gap is nearly impossible to avoid, even though women have spent the time and hard work with education and dedication to their job, just as men have. Women have improved in these areas to receive high position and equality with men in the work force. However, even though they have kept their heads down and played by the rules, women still have somehow come up short and, their pay remains less than men’s pay.
