Many people blame Trump for there not being many republican voters this year. There can also been an argument that Trump isn’t suitable president. He speaks his mind and his honest about what he says. That is a perfect reason for him to be elected and that is why some people either love him or hate him.

America is the leading power in the world. Although to other countries we may seem like a well bonded country, we are divided. Democrats and Republicans in the past have never been this angry at each other in a long time. The last time our nation has been this divided was during the Civil War and events that partook after. Statistics in this past election show that 54% of Republicans our in disapproval of Democrats. While Democrats show a 55% disapproval toward Republicans (Election News). This divide started in 2008 when John McCain elected Sarah Palin to be his Vice President in the election vs. at the time Senator Barack Obama. After Obama was elected President, the Alt-Right and Conservatives were afraid that they would not have another Republican in office again. Back when Eisenhower was elected, Democrats and Republicans showed a 60% approval rating of him when elected into office (Thinker,America). From Lincoln to Trump on the other hand, Democrats nowadays are not happy with the New Republican Party. Then in 2015 Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president. He than attracted the Alt-Right with his talks and inciting fear into Americans. Nowadays America is divided and

America is a land of very diverse people from all parts of the world. They all have wide varieties of interests, which are represented by both parties of its political system. The Democrats and Republicans represent two different standpoints; although they concentrate on the same issues both of them have different views on how the issues should be addressed. Two presidential campaigns in which the parties’ candidates differed on the issues are that of 1988 and 1996. Democracy only works when the people who represent the masses differ on the issues, so that to protect our freedom and the parties of our political system are the best representation of this ideology.

This year’s election has had the worst candidates since the 1850’s. In the 1850’s we had two democratic presidents their names were: Franklin Pierce, and James Buchanan. These two presidents were responsible for the civil war, by agreeing with the Kansas Nebraska Act signed in 1854, which made those two states (Kansas, and Nebraska) choose whether or not to allow Slavery. The people back in the 1850’s were in the exact presidential problem that we are in today. They were not happy with the people running, and the people running wanted to take more from the people, and England and the US still didn’t like each other. But in one decade these two democratic presidents tore the United States in half starting Civil war. Today we are in a situation worse than 1850’s, we are dealing with foreign terrorist attacks, and also domestic terrorist attacks, Heavy debt, and protests. If we have another democratic president we will possibly be in another Civil Dispute. We need someone who can take care of these problems and I believe that Donald Trump can do it.

Being the president of the United States is one of the most prestigious and difficult jobs. The fate of millions of people rests in their hands. The president is the leader of their country. A good leader can bring prosperity wile a bad leader could bring death to a nation. The premise of Barber's argument in The Presidential Character is that he believes presidential personalities fall into four categories and combinations of activity, passivity, positivity, and negativity and those personality combinations can be indicative of presidential performance.

This year’s Presidential election is defiantly going to be one for the books no matter who wins in the end. There are so many people who believe that their candidate is so much better than the other and it feels like this country is pretty much divided in half. People who support Clinton, are finding ways to make Trump sound like the nastiest person alive and he is unfit to be the president and it is the same way for Trump supports about Clinton. I believe that they both have their good and bad points in their campaigns but they both also have very bad ideas that is not sitting well with anybody. People from the south are generally going to vote republican and people in the north are generally going to vote democratic. That is the way that it has been for decades and no one really expects anything to change in the way that the nation votes as a whole.

The election of Donald Trump exposed the depths of division in America today, and the duration of his presidency, no matter how long, will be a true test of this nation. No doubt, we are about to step onto the longest roller coaster ride of most of our lives, and none of us lined up for it. Nonetheless, this is our reality now. All that is left to do is deal with it.

Trumps rhetoric appealed to those Americans that relied on factory work and felt they were being left out of a modernizing world. It opened our closed minded heads here in Marin to how the middle of the country feels about the same United States we live in. In a way we are just as bad as Trump supporters if we try and degrade their opinions based on who they voted for. We felt Clinton represented us just as strongly as the other side felt that Trump represented them.

The reason why is most likely because Democrats are a liberal party who want to see change in the nation, while Republicans are conservatives and want to keep things traditional to America’s past history. These political platforms do not only apply to presidential elections, but to controversial topics that are brought up to Congress today. These topics affect the American citizen’s viewpoints on both parties when talking about Social

Specifically, with the current presidential election, we see history repeats itself, many draw ties between Adolf Hitler and Donald Trump. Hitler gained in position in Germany through hate speech and creating a mass spread phobia of Jews, similarity Trump has gained popularity through hate speech and instilling a fear of Muslims and Islam in the American people. Hitler came to power in 1919 and yet despite the almost hundred years difference between him and Trump they still share many of the same campaign tactics and die hard supporters. History has always repeated itself and I am confident that we will see it continue to as well.

The majority of the public is dissatisfied with the Democratic and Republican party. They do not believe that either party can be trusted (Ginsbert et al, 2013). Both parties make promises they cannot deliver, promises such as no new taxes, decreasing the deficit, improve better health care, and etc. The public has heard it all. Unless the Congress and Senate are of the same party as the elected President, it is even hard for a President to keep least some of his promises.
