However, camping, by itself, is also an activity you can enjoy during the fall. With colder nights, it is easy to sit around the campfire roasting marshmallows and hot dogs. Plus, if you bring kids along, you can spook them with some scary ghost stories.
Keep in mind that the weather is starting to get colder. Because of this, you will need to pay close attention to the temperatures at night if you plan to go camping. Make sure you bring along some extra warm clothing so you are able to enjoy your time and don't spend the entire night shivering in your tent.
Water Sports
Even though summer is officially over, this doesn't mean you can't still spend time in the water. In fact, many areas are just beginning to become popular locations for kayaking and canoeing. The best thing about these types of activities is that you can have as much adventure as you like. Whether you are looking for a leisure float down the river or an aggressive one through rapids, you will be able to find exactly what you are looking for.
Plus, this is another activity you can easily combine with some of the other exciting ones that are fantastic during the fall. You can even take a break from your water activities and spend some time on the banks fishing, which is another popular fall activity.
Extreme
Fishing is a favorite activity of those who live on the lake, or those that visit the area. From sunfish, to crappie, to trophy-sized largemouth or white bass, fishing has become quite the popular sport on Lake Nacogdoches.
(2). Where I live on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, across from New Orleans, we had our first frost on November 20, and tonight it’s a little cool to be outside without a jacket. Throughout October and the first part of November, however, I could sit on my deck most nights in a T-shirt and listen to the rattle of falling leaves on the tin roof. Its almost an imitation autum.
Bright clear white snow on the ground for almost half the year, fireplaces roaring in every home, drinking hot chocolate while reading an interesting book. These were all experiences and sights that had been well accepted and standard where I formerly subsisted. However, the hot summers of Texas differ greatly compared to the frozen state of Minnesota. I learned to dress myself differently depending on which season it is. All of the snow gear we owned has been given away for others to use. I enjoyed snow and the crisp air we received in the North. The environment that we moved to was drastically altered compared to my previous, and it was challenging to
The frigid air on this Monday evening foresees snowfall once the sun drops below the horizon. The frost clinging to the turf blends in with the white cleats of the players. Each fan bundled up in sweatshirts, under jackets, under winter coats. A woman next to me saw that I had clearly not come dressed
Our wind has died down, but yes indeed, is it cold! Our landscapers just pulled up to take care of leaves and shrubs. They are all bundled up! Oh, our leaves did finally fall with a little help from that dang wind, but the grass, she's still green! I can imagine they have more than enough snow in MN for Miss Cora's first snowman! Not ready for that here...well, I never am!
You don't need a bunch of fancy equipment to go camping, although it doesn't hurt to bring it if you have it! There are a few things, however, that you might miss on your camping trip, if you forget them at home. Water- I've seen a lot of people remember the soda, alcohol and beer, but forget to bring water. While there is nothing wrong with the other beverages, they won't keep you hydrated. Drinkable water is a must, especially in hot summer months. And keep in mind that you will want water for washing hands and dishes, too. Make sure you bring enough for all! Insect Repellant- The best camping trip can quickly turn sour when the mosquitoes come out. What type of insect repellant you buy is up to your discretion, but when camping, I personally prefer to bring something that is sweat resistant, and designed for deep woods situations. Sunscreen- Unlike a day at the beach, where sunscreen is usually the first thing we pack, people sometimes forget to grab the sunscreen when heading out to the woods. However, the sun still shines at the campground, if you're lucky, and if you plan to be out on the water at all, you're going to want that sunscreen. Baby Wipes- Some camp sites have running water available, or perhaps you're camping in an RV with hookups for water. But either way, baby wipes offer a quick easy way to clean up. They are great for washing hands and faces, and small messes. Entertainment-
Do you guys like snow well its not very fun in the morning when u have to scrape snow off your windows in the freezing cold .Most winters down here get below freezing and its not fun to go and play outside because youll end

Fall is in full swing here in Kansas. The leaves have changed colors, the nights are crisp, and the days have a brisk chill. This is a whole new experience for me. Growing up in California our seasons consisted of cool summer and hot summer which could vary day to day, all year long. I have never experienced a true season of fall until now. Since the day I first noticed the trees beginning to change I found myself completely mesmerized by it all. As each passing day would become a bit more cold the leaves would change more and more and eventually let go of the tree. In a way I couldn't help but relate to what I watched the tree going through.
One of my favorite things to do is going tubing on my boat. I like to go tubing, because you can have wars to get each other off. Tubing is even better when you have multiple tubes so you can have all of your friends tubing at once. It is the best when you have 3 tubes and you are the middle tube because you get hit by all of the other tubes. Sometimes when you are the middle tube you flip over because the side tubes hit you hard. Another thing I like to do when I am tubing is doing a 360 degree turn and going over your own wake. It is fun because you hit your wake and you get a lot of air. Once you hit the wake you can get a lot of air on it. The bad thing about it is When you hit the wake it hurts your neck. Once when I got off the
Fall is a great time. There are a lot of things to do. It isn’t ever to hot or cold. Thanksgiving is full of excitement. Black Friday/Thursday is also in fall. There is Cornhusker football, harvest, and facts on corn.
It is that time of the year again; snow falling, temperatures dropping; one of the reasons we stay inside. You might think the opportunities to enjoy the weather are gone. Think again.
As the winter keeps you in its icy grip, ensure that you are taking precautions with your pets. Despite the known temps outside, wind chills can
It is important to have good company in order to make the camping trip worthwhile and full of memory-making opportunities. It can also be great for those who prefer to have some peace and quiet time alone. This also gives us a moment to witness and experience nature first hand, and to take a break from all the distractions of the faster pace lifestyle. Camping is an opportunity to get away from the usual day to day routine and to get involved with something new and exciting.
