My fellow classmates, the magic word today is commencement. This is the big finale to a hectic, overwhelming yet no doubt unforgettable four years at County High School.
Robert Frost once said: "The best way out is always through," and similarly we have also learned in our math classes that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. There will always be an infinite number of paths we can take to arrive at a desired destination. Yet, the decision we make to continue looking ahead, instead of behind or around, is ultimately what determines how quickly we will get there. As seniors, we have successfully traveled "through," and though our paths have not all been identical, they have indeed taken us to the same place, our

The different paths we must travel are rarely ever a straight line, and though our destinations are not always visible, it is comforting to know that we can always stop to ask for directions. The dedication, patience and generosity of staff not only nurture us, but also allow each one of us to discover ourselves without the fear of failure. Yet, when the big yellow building and all of its inhabitants got to be too unbearable, we could always look towards home and be assured that we're loved and appreciated. Today, as we sit here, the very same paste-eaters and craft-making geniuses of yesterday have now become mature and capable individuals ready to follow yet another path leading to success.
It is because of the love and selflessness displayed by both faculty and our beloved families that we are here today, joined to celebrate not only the achievements of the graduating seniors, but also to recognize the contributions of the important people in our lives.
As a class, we have always seemed to experience a lot of change, just when things would seem to settle down. Before the division of Explorer as a result of the newly built Voyager, we had the chance of getting to know each other. When reunited at Stone High School, the lasting bond established within our class ever since the 7th grade continued to grow only stronger, making the Class of 2006 one that will always dominate. This commencement
Good morning/afternoon administrators, faculty, board members, parents, and fellow peers of Nova Academy Prichard, 8th grade 2016 Graduation Ceremony.
Dear administrators, teachers, parents, beloved friends, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 8th grade graduation. It’s a pleasure to be standing in front of you today on this beautiful day to express the happiness we all feel.
Good morning, seniors and faculty. Today, I have the honor of addressing one of the most unique, talented, and resilient classes ever to attend Newfield High School. I hope that the advice I have to offer you today will enlighten you as well as your successors. Now, since graduation is a congratulatory occasion, before I get started, there are people who must be acknowledged and to whom respect is due.
As I stand before you all at the end of our senior year, giving this speech, let’s reminisce in some of our memorable pasts. Looking back, we’ve made many great memories in the midst of earning an
Good morning Principle Boyd, proud parents, faculty, and fellow graduates, to this extraordinary celebration breakfast, in honor of Our Lady of Grace Catholic School Class of 2017. Yes, I am graduating 8th grade, but I still have to make my bed, be nice to my siblings, do my chores, I cannot drive a car, I must continue putting my Iphone into my locker every night, so that I will not be grounded! Nevertheless, I am graduating from Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, and I feel like I found a pot-of-gold at the end of the rainbow.
Furthermore, I do not regret a single part of this year, and even parts of eighth grade I was dreading, such as the National History Day project, turned out to be wonderful learning experiences that I genuinely enjoyed participating in. Thank you, teachers for continuing to find ways to encourage our further learning. Thank you, fellow classmates for helping me and making me smile. Thank you, Mrs. Arzola, Mrs. Chung, and all of the South Pointe staff for investing in so many new programs. And finally, thank you to the whole South Pointe community for supporting each other as we all continued to grow together and find out what our true passions are. I am both excited and extremely nervous for my journey into high school, and I can only hope to find another school as great as this one, that will continue to shape our lives just as South Pointe has. So, as we exit the grounds today and move onto high school, I can’t help but think that we will all reconvene here when our children will have the privilege of walking in our
Good morning, my name is Jacqueline Heitmann and I am currently a 8th grader at St. Rose of Lima. As of tonight, we will be graduating into high school, a new step in our journey. Before I begin, I'd like to give big "Thank You" on behalf of my class to all of our faculty, staff, parents, sponsors, and everyone who was involved in our St. Rose experience. You may not have known it, but each and everyone of you has played a huge part in our daily lives, and we want you all to know that.
We are all leaving the nest and flying in different directions. Some of us will move on to a school just across campus, while others will leave to a school thirty minutes away from here. I know we are all anxious and excited to be leaving the building that some of us have been practically living in since kindergarten. I have created so many memorable moments here that I will never forget. Today, I ask you to look around you. Who do see before you? I see parents that have worked hard to give us the opportunity to learn and are now so proud of our growth. I see teachers who have taught us so much more that just Algebra or English. Then, I see us, the formal leaders of the school. We are known as the eight graders, but I see us as a giant 40 person family. We are united by the common factor of our graduation. So today as we receive our much-coveted diplomas in our navy cap and gowns, I ask you to indulge in these last following days with your fellow
Good Morning and Welcome Distinguished Guests, family, and friends of our Graduating Class, it is an honor to have you join us this morning for such a wonderful occasion.
Ms. Earls, administration, faculty members, family, friends and 2016 graduates, today I welcome you to this special day. A day to reflect on the past and focus on the future.
Before I start my speech I’d like to congratulate my fellow classmates on graduating. I would also like to thank everyone who came to be here for me today & who have supported me along the way. Lastly, I would like to thank my teacher Mrs. Navarro for being such a great educator, but more than that, a friend.
Now on behalf of all of us graduating seniors, I'd like to thank all of the parents for all of the
Graduation is an exciting time in a person’s life, especially a high school graduation. When I think of family and friends gathering together to celebrate a joyous occasion, I feel I accomplished my strongest goal. It never occurred to me that graduation would be the end of my youth and the start of adulthood. Graduating from high school was an influential event that gave me an altered outlook on my existence. Life before graduation, preparing for graduation day, and commencement day overwhelmed me for reality.
The big question teachers ask me throughout my life is “what do you want to be when you grow up?” I never had an answer to that. Going into college I didn’t have a set plan as to what career I would like to pursue. However, I knew that I wanted to work with kids; I originally wanted to be a pediatrician. That career choice was based on my family wanting me to be successful, so I put my passion for working with kids and their passion together. As I began to focus on what I want instead of what others want, I changed my major to Early Childhood Education and chose the path of teaching as my career choice. I have high hopes for this career because teachers are always needed. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics(BLS), the employment rate for my career choice will increase by six percent from 2014 to 2024. In this world, education is valued and will help put people many steps ahead. The reason why I chose to be an elementary teacher is because I want to be able to motivate and inspire my younger generations.
