NFL Preview Part Four: The NFC North 1. Green Bay Packers: 12-4 Key Additions: Damarious Randall, Quinten Rollins, Ty Montgomery Key Losses: Brad Jones, A.J Hawk, Tramon Williams Last season’s loss in the NFC Championship for the Packers was arguably the worst way to lose a game in the history of the NFL. A quick recap for those who may have missed it (Were you living under a rock?); with five minutes left in the fourth quarter the Packers led 19-7, but after an abundance of blunders, the Packers blew the 19-7 lead and ultimately lost the game in overtime. Now Packers’ fans everywhere are asking themselves; how can the Packers overcome such a devastating loss? Well, the answer is quite simple. They have best quarterback in the league, Aaron Rodgers, and a team full of players who are familiar with each other. Currently, there is only one player on the Packers roster who has played with another professional organization. This is remarkable, considering the amount of player movement that happens throughout the NFL. As I mentioned before they also have this guy named Aaron Rodgers, you know, the reining …show more content…
After the 2011 NFC Championship, when fans were labeling him a quitter for not playing through a torn MCL, I stuck with him. When fans yelled and called for his job due to his poor on field mannerisms, I stuck with him. After the Bears paid him like an elite quarterback, I stuck with him, but I can finally say this; Jay Cutler I am done with you. We know what you are; an inefficient NFL quarterback. Sure, you have a big arm, but you have no pocket awareness, you throw a lot of interceptions, you’re a poor leader, and you act like you’re bigger than the game. You will never lead an NFL team to a championship. You may be the starter in Chicago, but the only reason you are is because of your enormous contract. They tried to trade you, but not one team was willing to take on that outrageous
Aaron Rodgers is considered the most talented quarterback currently competing in the NFL. He has a 92.1 PFF rating and mind blowing stats to back it up. Last season Rodgers threw for 40 touchdowns while only throwing 7 interceptions. He posted a 104.2 quarterback rating and led the Packers to the NFC Championship Game. At 33 years old Rodgers is primed for another great season in green and gold.
For the last decade, the Detroit Lions have struggled both in terms of on-field performance and in terms of their public appeal in the recession-blighted Michigan region. This futility peaked in 2008, when the Lions became the first team in NFL history to lose all 16 regular season contests. However, as per the strategy of the National Football League's college draft formula, a series of favorable drafts have allowed the Detroit Lions to enter into a place of contention. Indeed, with the additions of 2009 #1 overall draft pick, star quarterback Matt Stafford and 2010 #2 overall pick, star defensive tackle, Ndamukong Suh, the Detroit Lions would make the 2011 playoffs. It was the franchise's first such berth in 12 years and would mark its first cause for optimism in several generations of player. However, this accomplishment is today overshadowed by the array of Public Relations (PR) challenges before the Detroit Lions. For an organization enduring a considerable uphill climb in order to gain appeal and interest with its fans, the personnel issues which seem to follow many of its players may well haunt the organization going forward.
The Tennessee titans received its name after the titans. The titans consisted of 12 deities and they were all siblings. The titans were very powerful and they can defeat anything. For example, Cronus (one of the titans) was able to defeat his father. He was able to kill his father because of his strength. This is similar to the Tennessee titans. The Tennessee titans is an American football team located in Tennessee. The Tennessee titans football team consist of about 70 players. All of the players are strong and they trained for many years. Their constant training and strength led them to victories.
Brett Favre had many flaws as a quarterback. First off would be his tendency to throw interceptions throughout his career. By throwing many interceptions he cost the Packers many football games, and possibly put the packers out of playoffs and superbowls. In fact, Brett favre has thrown the most interceptions in NFL history, which is 336 interceptions. One Reason people argue he threw so many interceptions is that Brett Favre is more of a gun slinger, and would take more chances. Now Aaron Rodgers on the other hand is an extremely accurate thrower of the football. While still being in the NFL, he has a total of 75 interceptions. Resulting in a considerably large difference between the accuracy of these quarterbacks and the play style.
The first reason why Aaron Rodgers is the most talented QB in the NFL is because he puts up the best stats. He has a 104.1 career Q.B.R and has had 7 seasons with a
The cleveland browns have went through a lot of quarterbacks and coaches in the past 16 years. Ever since the browns came back in 1999 they have not made it to the playoffs. They have one of the best defenses in the whole NFL
Now, although it’s rare for a rookie to take over the reigns of their new team during that first season, it does happen. Granted, most of the time it’s because the prospects for success evaporated. Since the team is going no where come playoff time, why continue to operate with a quarterback who is not the team’s future. This is the time many rookies get their chance, but for fantasy purposes, most still fall flat on their face.
Taking nothing from him, he at the very least doesn't turn the ball over. Only one interception is his two starts. One of the biggest concerns many people have noticed with him is at times he holds on to the ball a little longer than necessary in the pocket which causes him to get sacked more than he should. Although, he improved that much more in the game against New England than he did against the Chicago Bears the prior
Brett Favre was more than just the starting quarterback in the Green Bay community and organization. He was face of the franchise, and a living legend in the national football league. Before Favre’s arrival to Green Bay, The Packers had only five winning seasons between the years of 1968 and 1991. In Brett’s sixteen NFL seasons with Green Bay, they recorded just one losing season. With the Packers Brett won three consecutive MVP awards coming in 1994, 1995, and 1996. He was nominated

Wentz motivated, inspired, and guided his team to multiple wins. Prior to when Wentz had gotten hurt, he had one goal, to lead his team to success, something he was currently achieving in the regular season games. He would motivate his team to perform better each and every day at practice. He had even invited his teammates to do workouts with him to get better when they were given some off time. He showed that he did not want to get better alone. He wanted the squad as a whole to get better. Showing how committed he was to the game, had inspired his teammates to better themselves by putting in the extra work. The behavior and attitude Wentz had rubbed off on his teammates and the goal of becoming champions became the team’s outcome. Wentz would even try to have the team bond outside of practice by doing team dinners or just by going to church together. He would set up these events to create a bond that would then facilitate to the performance the team would put on when on the field. He wanted to create team chemistry to
The NFL Playoffs attract millions of fans each year for each team. 12 franchises make it to the postseason each year, and while everyone wants his or her favorite team will win it all, only one team can. The worst, however, is when fans are sure their team has won, just to have it ripped away from them. With that in mind, here are the top three most devastating losses in NFL playoff history:
Coming off of their bye week, the Packers finally have a chance to get healthy. Despite, an abundance of injuries the team has still looked like one of the best teams in the entire NFL.
OK, so he hasn 't been horrific since he took over for a struggling Brandon Weeden, who took over for an injured Tony Romo. (the fact that, there are this many quarterbacks in the talks for the Cowboys this season is beyond heartbreaking) Anyway, Cassel has shown some life and even made some impressive plays on the field. However, we are still sitting in at 2-6 and dead last in already abysmal division. Other than a 30-6 loss to the New England Patriots the Cowboys have been in every game until the last quarter, most of those games pushing into the final seconds and two of them even into overtime. Sounds accurate right Cowboy 's fans? If the Cowboys lose its always in a heart stopping, gut wrenching fashion. Nonetheless, should all of these losses lay at the feet of our man under center? Of course not, but on the other hand he has played mediocre football at best. Sometimes its about finding the quarterback that just knows how to win. I am not persuaded Cassel is able to do that. He hasn 't in the time he has worn the star anyway. Even though Cassel put up his best game as a Cowboy in the 33-27 overtime loss to the Eagles last Sunday night, it still has one play that will forever haunt him, and the fans I imagine. Cassel threw for 299 yards, 3 touchdowns, and the main focus unfortunately for Cassel is that one interception he threw in
The Green Bay Packers are one of the most notable teams in the NFL and all of sports. The four time Super Bowl champions have a few negative qualities, including bad defenses in the past and recent years of unsuccessful playoff runs. However, the negatives do not outweigh the team’s powerhouse offense and Super Bowl trophies. The team was founded in 1919 and had very little success until 1929. This is the start of the Green Bay Packers that most people know as “Titletown”. From 1929 to present day, the Packers have won 13 championships. That being the most championships won by a single team in NFL history. While the Green Bay Packers are a very successful team, they have had their up’s and down’s.
