Caroline utilized the element of texture by adding three-dimensional sea-shells of different shapes and sizes on to the canvas. The diverse sea-shells add a rough texture to the smooth canvas. In addition to texture, she utilized the elements of shape, line and color to paint the fish. In the painting, there are no harsh lines around the fish. She mainly created the distinct shapes of the fish by using light colors against a darker background.
The main principle of design that can be seen a lot in this piece is variety. There is a variety of different types of three-dimensional ocean related bits present on the canvas from sand dollars, to pearls to oyster shells. They range from different sizes and some of them are broken and some of them are fully intact. There are also broken pieces of blue glass and plastic that add to the variety of objects she utilized to add texture to the piece.
The media Caroline used was simply a small canvas with mixed media such as acrylic paint, shells, pearls, and various ocean related objects. She utilized the media to create texture that will catch the eyes of viewers because of the three-dimensional characteristics. The piece would be less eye-catching and probably would not stand much out without the media she used. Without the three-dimensional objects, the art piece would just be a regular acrylic paint on canvas of
Daniel Wallace's Big Fish tells the story of a father and son trying to communicate and make up for lost time at the time of the father's death. In the novel, the father's death takes place in four different stories or "takes." In the midst of these accounts of his death, we are told through stories and tall tales just what the father, Edward Bloom, was really like. Throughout the story are one page chapters where the story shifts and the life of Edward Bloom is told by others and through this we are told what "they say" about him. It is in these pages where the real legend of Edward Bloom is discovered. These one page chapters not only help in portraying Edward Bloom as a legend, but also add to the uniqueness of Daniel Wallace's
Texture and pattern are very easy to identify in this painting. The street’s cobblestones show texture and pattern in the way that they are arranged. Texture is also demonstrated through the paint strokes on the buildings, the tree, and even the sky. These thick, uneven strokes add a layer of depth and texture to all elements of the painting.
Fish magic was created in a pane using oil and watercolors. It combines the components from the sea, such as fish, the earth, which are flowers and the galaxy, that is the moon and the planets. The painting appears as though Klee was conveying a complex story using the elements of the sea, sky on canvas and the earth. He expresses his romantic, expressionist and surreal mood through the painting . Any person examining Klee’s work for the first time will definitely think it was a work of a nursery watercolor worm. After looking carefully at the elements, one can see how the elements in the painting fuse together to illustrate a message after seeing hoe Klee was managed to make an artistic impression using simple elements.
At first glance, the Red Fish looks like a decoration piece that someone would hang in their home or lake house for decoration. However, with a more in depth look, viewers will see that this painting illustrates much more than it appears. In 1990, Leonard Koscianski used a piece of canvas, 64’’x46’’ to paint the image of a fish out of water. Koscianski used oil and dark shades of red, orange, blue, green, and white to create the Red Fish. The Red Fish was painted vertically with the fish as the main focus point. Behind some green blade grass, a large red- orange fish appears to be leaping out of the water. The size of the fish helps show that the fish is the center piece of the painting. Behind the fish there is a small patch of land, filled with blade grass with two white house’s sitting off in the distance. Directly behind the houses is a section of woods. From left to right, the tree tops seem to follow and up and down pattern. The dark blue sky begins at the tree line and ends at the top of the painting. Throughout the sky there are patches of clouds that are an off white color. The contrast between the colors used by Koscianski show a lot of detail, but did not take away from the huge red- orange fish. Along with the color scheme, Koscianski used lines to add detail to the fish and to provide depth to the painting. With proper use of colors and lines, Koscianski was able to create the Red Fish. In 1991, the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts
The only areas that have clear lines is the area surrounding the whale. This grid could be used to give the feeling of the sea. The roughness of the grid could be made to be similar to rough oceans. The sculpture has been made to hide any lines to give the appearance of a smooth surface. Because of this the work has few visible lines.
The way light is displayed in the painting shows the type of day it is and helped the artist with knowing to use bright colors that appeal to light. There are many shapes and lines throughout the canvas that increases the depth of the illustration. The type of shapes mainly seen are squares and rectangles. The squares seen in the picture of the painting itself is square, the window leading out the the balcony, and the shape of which the background sunset an ocean is framed in is also square as well. All those shapes and angles help create the realism in the picture and create the 3D affect on the canvas.
This article is about the rapid growth of lionfish in the wild. These fish are destroying the ecosystem. Most of the shapes are formed by lines and shifts in color. For example, the yellow and pinks of the flowers in the basket are formed by a shift from the pastel pink basket and her pink dress. Lines in her dress give form to the shape of her dress, making it look very realistic, you can actual see the wrinkles in the dress from how she is sitting. Both lines and shift are used to create shapes in this painting, some used together and some not.

I found the Cichlid, pony fish and mackerel very aesthetically pleasing because of the beautiful combination of colors, The X-ray like picture, where the images of the fish are transparent, and dye chemical dye is applied to different parts. The bones of the fish have red dye, whereas the cartilage has a blue dye to it, which gives a beautiful effect to the image, . I was initially attracted to the artwork by its vibrant colors, but when I read its description, including the science behind the image it fascinated me. I found out that the different color dyes were used to highlight the differences between three different fish, including the Madagascar cichlid, pony fish and the Atlantic spotted mackerel. The painting contains an asymmetric balance for the colors that although they are of different sides they are even. The lack of colors around the painting accentuates the center of the work. This gets an emphasis on the worker, the flowers and the woman. In the flowers is where the colors are highlighted and also it is noticeable that they are slowly clarifying when receiving the light.
Three-dimensional works of art have a unique characteristic that is different from other art forms. Its tactile quality is its distinct feature that allows viewers to touch the sculptures, crafts, and architectures which are all kinds of three-dimensional art.
