— Grey's Anatomy (@The_GreyMethod) January 20, 2016 The one person who is always there for Meredith Grey now that is Alex and he is there by her side once again. As Meredith is getting treated, Alex leans down and gives her a kiss on her forehead that is going to have everyone wondering what is going on with him. A lot of viewers love the idea of these together, but it is hard to tell if they will ever go there. Could he be falling for her or was this just a friendly kiss between friends?
It turns out that Denzel Washington is actually the one who will be directing this episode. Kelly McCreary, who plays Mer's half-sister Maggie, spoke out about this scene saying "It is as terrifying and as shocking as you would expect for it to be. Get ready to have your guts feel like they're coming out of you, because it is truly harrowing."

Some Nurses in Bed Number Ten were supportive while other were portrayed negatively due to their egocentric behavior. These individuals just treated Sue as if she was a patent with a number that needed to be checked off on their daily rounds list. Not to mention, these nurses that were portrayed in a negative manner lacked the knowledge of unfamiliar diseases, they were not healthy critical thinkers. Secondly, they lacked simple skills such as communication doctors made simple mistakes such as duplicating labs and x-rays, lastly many of the hospital staff disobeying HIPPA regulations. Gennie and JoAnne were the two Samaritans who showed compassion to Sue they build a nurse and patient trust relationship. Ginnie is one of sues physical therapist who went above and beyond to recognize Sues needs surprisingly on her off days on she would attend to sus needs every Sunday.
For this Media Project, I chose to watch an episode of a Grey’s Anatomy that contains a medical ethics dilemma. I watched Season 2 of Grey’s Anatomy, Episode 23 “Blues for Sister Someone.” In this episode, a woman asks Dr. Addison Shepherd to clandestinely tie her fallopian tubes (tubal ligation) while she gives birth to her 7th child through C-section. She does not wish to have any more children (seven is already a huge burden), but her devout Catholic husband does not allow birth control. Hence, she pleads Addison to help end her childbearing abilities (tying her tubes would be permanent birth control). She begs Dr. Shepherd to do the surgery in private so here is no medical record
The best television show made is any show that inspires people to follow their dream. There are many shows they were produced to do just this. They demonstrate that no matter how different you may be or where you’re from anything can be possible if you work hard enough. Motivating the youth as well as adult population to go after a career or passion. For this reason, no one show is the greatest of all time for the entire population. Each individual has a show that they admire and enjoy watching. This show should allow the person to forget all that’s on their mind and let them escape their reality for the short hour in which the productions airs. Grey’s Anatomy is this show for me and many others around the nation. It was the first show which
Standing (2011), defines clinical decision-making as a complex process that involves observation, gathering information, critical thinking, evaluating evidence, applying necessary knowledge, reflection and problem-solving skills. Every day nurses make important clinical decisions and these decisions have important implications for patient outcomes and deserve serious consideration. Therefore, it is important for nurses to have a better insight of the decision-making process, be able to deliver holistic care and meet essential and complex physical and mental health needs of the patient.

Meredith’s mother had told her, when she first found out that she was pregnant, that she no longer wanted to be seem with her daughter in the town because she was very ashamed of her and was disappointed. No matter how many times Meredith said she was sorry or apologize for what she had done her mother would not forgive her. Throughout the book, Hall tries to understand the terrible betrayal of her parents' love, a love bordered by conditions. In her story she explains how her father left her when she was little and the father had cheated on her mom with another women. Nothing had been the same ever since that incident. She explains that once she was done in the hospital she, “left the baby in the hospital for someone else to claim and walked out into the day.” She felt guilty, of course, but she had to do what is best for her because she was only 16. While the first seasons of Buffy are structured around an external threat seeking to corrupt the order of the world, later the source of the threat becomes increasingly internal, and the characters must embrace a side of themselves which is evil, irrational, or dangerous. When Giles kills an arguably innocent Ben, he does not suffer the moral ambiguity that Willow encounters when she kills a guilty Warren. Willow has to deal with an evil internal to her in a way Giles does not, and this apparent discrepancy is the result of a general evolution of the series, rather than a double standard.
The purpose of this journal is to reflect on my experience and skills gained during my clinical placement at Ben Taub Hospital. On my first clinical day, I was excited and nervous at the same time. My first placement was in the PREOP/PACU area. I was assigned to help a patient who had been in the PACU area going on 2 days. Normally, once the patient comes from surgery they are only in the PACU area for a short period of time before they are discharged home or given a bed in another area of the hospital. This particular patient still had not received an assignment for a bed. The physicians would make their rounds to come check on him daily. The patient was a 28-year-old Hispanic male, non-English speaking, he had a hemicolectomy. He had a NG tube, urinary Foley catheter, and a wound vac. My preceptor had just clocked in and she needed to check on the patient’s vitals and notes from the previous nurse. Once she introduced me to the patient and explained while I was there, she then asked me to check his vitals. (Vital signs indicate the body’s ability to regulate body temperature, maintain blood flow, and oxygenate body tissues. Vital signs are important indicators of a client’s overall health status (Hogan, 2014). I froze for a quick second. I have practiced taking vitals numerous of times and I knew I could do it correctly. I started with the temperature first, when I was quickly corrected on a major mistake I had made by my preceptor. I HAD FORGOT TO WASH MY HANDS and PUT
There are countless scenarios throughout this series that are similar to what takes place every day in a hospital and what the doctors and nurses see on a daily basis. Grey’s Anatomy benefits its viewers through realistic portrayals. Multiple surgeries have performed on the show that are consistent with literature. This could be a medium for medication students to review their content of interest or for those who are considering joining the medical field. Coronary bypass is one of many surgeries that is often completed on this show. During this procedure blood is diverted around a section of a blocked artery in the heart to restores blood flow to a patient’s heart muscle. Coronary bypass surgeries are just as common on Grey’s Anatomy as they
