Video games are an ever-growing franchise that is constantly undergoing change. Ever since the dawn of video games, new consoles, games, developers, and teams have come together, fallen apart, triumphed, and failed. What is it that has allowed some to thrive where others failed? Several different factors have changed and influenced the world of gaming, including the history that is continuously being written, the people who have built the games behind the scenes, and, of course, the actual video games themselves. Numerous video games have been more successful than others, but identifying what components set the successful apart from the unsuccessful is something definitely worth observing.
Loud, soothing, meaningful, and deep, rock music has many characteristics. These characteristics are ones that rock music fans appreciate. But, many people have different preferences of music, such as pop, rap, country, and other genres. Although there are several types of music, most modern music comes back to the foundation of rock and roll. Many artists have been influenced by the heart-wrenching power of rock music. Rock and roll was born in the 1950's and has influenced our pop culture and music for the last six decades ever since its creation from blues, rhythm and blues, country, and gospel music. It has since then created a large variety of genres of rock such as folk rock, country rock, southern rock, corporate rock, art rock, heavy metal, glam rock and many more (Larson). Rock and roll has developed a long way throughout the years from a dance craze in the 1950’s to a political and cultural landscape that is recognized worldwide. Rock and roll has come to define the roots of teenage rebellion, people who don’t follow the norms, and have disrespect for authority. The style of rock and roll itself is a melting pot of music, a combination of sounds that include jazz, country, blues, ragtime, gospel, swing, classical, and ethnic music. It can be a simple variation of three chords to a complex chromatic scale combination. It can convey emotions such as love, hate, fear, lust, sadness, joy, disillusion, or a strong sense of reality. Many things can be said about rock but the fact is that it is the most widely
As one of the most popular music genres, rock music has grown and expanded to incorporate many styles throughout the years. A rock band usually consists of a vocalist, an acoustic drum kit played with a strong beat, usually a back beat, and features electric and acoustic guitars. From its beginnings in the late 1950s and early 1960s until the present day, rock has changed styles seemingly every decade as new bands become popular because of their unique style of music. Throughout the years rock has influenced our culture and helped shape the world we live in today.

Rock and roll was an amalgam of black rhythm and blues and white country music, usually based on a twelve-bar structure and an instrumentation of guitar, bass, and drums.” (Kamien, 2015, p.378) The popular music was first called rock and then rock and roll then back to simply rock. Rock and roll music has a raw sound that gets the crowd hyped in a special way. The most important instrument used in rock and roll music is the electric guitar. The electric guitar is the reason for the amplified sound in rock and roll music. “Rock-and-roll guitarist Chuck Berry established a style of

The action adventure games, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, both hold a place in the hearts of gamers across the world. Laura Croft of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Nathan Drake of Uncharted 4 are both the main characters of their stories, and they are always going off on an adventure to discover a great treasure for the greater good. While both having great stories, graphics, and gameplay, there are still several details to set one apart from the other. These are two of my favorite games, but it is time to analyze these details and crown the winner.
Rock has had different effects on different countries. Europe was the most influenced by rock because of its many rising bands from Liverpool and London. This was because they had many musically talented people coming from the area. There are many unique types of rock including heavy metal to classic rock, punk, alternative, and grunge. The Guitar is a stringed musical instrument with six or twelve strings that is played by either plucking or strumming the strings. It is one of the most popular instruments in the world. If an individual were asked to identify a guitar most people would answer the question correctly more so than they would if they were asked about another instrument. When people think about famous guitarists, they more than likely think of famous rock and roll guitarists and do not think about the many other famous guitarists in other musical genres such as jazz or country. The guitar is a well-known instrument that influences many musical genres including Country.
Video games in today’s society have become very popular. Every new game that comes out to be played and conquered by the average gamer has its own category. There are several other types of genres of games that people play but because of big hit titles and the new popular game systems like the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, people become more interested in a game that is well known than a game they have never even heard of before. Every game has its own storyline and own way of how it unfolds and where the game ends according to game play. Some of the biggest reasons people sway to certain genres of games is because of the game titles released under them and the demand of people who want a good game under that category. The guitar was once considered a folk music instrument, but it now also qualifies as a videogame controller. Thanks to a collaborative effort from RedOctane, Harmonix and MTV Games, the genre of gigantic interactive controllers is no longer confined to dance pads, imitation firearms and the slightly disturbing chainsaw that now comes with Resident Evil 4. Guitar Hero ' for PlayStation 2 costs a mean $70, including all the essentials for videogame musicians: game guitar-shaped controller, instruction book and shoulder strap. The pieces can all be purchased separately, but the intrinsic flaw with the game is that none of the parts will function properly if used out of context of the others. The game itself offers straight-forward directives and single-minded progression. Like all games you must pick your character and difficulty level, revealing that a myriad of different songs and extra guitar-related pickings must be unlocked by mastering various degrees of button-mashing prowess. The player is then granted several options: tutorials, career mode and single player. Career mode is the only way to unlock any extras, meaning that any other fidgeting around will only make you so familiar with the same five songs that you won 't be able to stand hearing them on the radio every again. Game play consists mainly of watching colored land mine-style targets stream along the screen and hitting the indicated color keys as they reach their inevitable destination: the other side of
