Looking back, I regard attending WBU one of my best lifetime decisions. Before I discuss my experiences at WBU, it would be prudent to first give a brief background of myself. To begin with, I have had the opportunity of serving my country in the military and in a way; this has largely shaped my personality and my outlook of life. In that regard, I have come to appreciate the value of life more than ever before. Further, the time I have served in the military has taught me that success is possible in any facet of life with the right attitude, determination and personal sacrifice.
There are many reasons one should be excited to attend George Washington University. George Washington University is an opportunity for people from across the globe, to surround themselves around greatness. I believe that George Washington University will teach you how to have a clearer perspective on how; one actually views the world and; also the experience you will gain at this great institution will teach you to be cognizant of the varied and, valuable cultures from which students derive.
Georgia Tech has always been a dream for me. I don't know why but looking at letters and e-mails that I have received make me feel like I would fit in just by walking on the campus. I know that I can succeed here, and that everyone will help me along the "yellow brick road" of success. Ha, get it, one of the colors is yellow. This is a place where I can research and learn what is needed to continue on in life. My uncle was the one person that really persuaded me to apply. He knew that I could succeed here, and he never even went to Tech. Overall, this is where I know I will
Lees-McRae is a good fit for me because out of all the colleges I have researched, Lees-McRae feels like home. When I first found the college's website, I instantly knew that Lees-McRae encompasses all the values that I think are crucial. Just from the website alone I found a sense of family and coming from a close-knit family of four, I treasure that above anything else. Also, I fell in love with the idea of community. I feel it is important to cherish and be a part of an open community, which I have noticed Lees-McRae provides for all of its students. If I were to attend Lees-McRae I would be active in the community and feel safe inside the family atmosphere. Not to mention, I would thrive in the athletic aspects of the college, the passion
The biggest motivation for me attending GCU would have to be my family and more specifically my Children. I had all three of my kids by the age of 22, I got married at a very young age, that unfortunately ended in a divorce. I went through a really hard time in my life during and after and because of the many years I stayed at home taking care of my kids I didn't do very much after finishing high school because my first child had already been born. My education suffered because of this and I never received a secondary education like I had always dreamed of. Just working a basic job where I don’t make that much money and give all my time and effort is something I want to escape. I would
Western State had peaked my interest when I first made the visit to the campus my Junior year of high school. Around the time I was considering which college would be best for me. When first entering the town of Gunnison I realized all of the potential outdoor activates that I could partaken. Being a Colorado Native outdoor actives have always been a big part of my life. During my visit I enjoyed hearing about what the campus had to offer, from small classes that would provide more one on one interaction from the professors. An added bonus western offers my intended major. I also loved how many of the students never want to leave campus. I also really enjoyed what western had to offer on campus whether that was clubs, sports, or outdoor trips
There are many reasons on why I would love to attend Pacific University. One of the reasons on why I would love to attend Pacific University is because they have a small campus with a small class size. I believe that is a good learning environment because you have a better relationship with your professor and have more one on one time. I will also become more inquisitive and outgoing in class and the campus in general. I also plan on making an impact on the community around Pacific University as well as the campus itself. I plan on fulfilling this by joining clubs, volunteering, and helping the community and meeting new people to get them involved. Not only do I want to make an impact but also carry my school spirit proudly by joining a sport.
GCSU is my home for the next four wonderful years of my life. I chose this campus mainly for the location in the state of Georgia. GCSU is only two and a half hours from my home town of Port Wentworth. This means I can still go home on the weekends to see my family. It is also close to UGA where my best friend goes and I can go see her any time I need to.
“You are a product of your environment.” W Clement Stone emphasized this, stating that we are made who we are from what whe experience. I grew up with different cultures, one being Mexican, the other American. Along with this, my parents had opposing social, political and religious beliefs. Due to a cultural contrast and a mix, I am able to recognize disparities which paved the way for my passion in social activism, and religious independence.
Brigham Young University in Hawaii is the college that I would most like to attend. I would prefer to attend a church school and be around people that share my religious views and standards. BYU Hawaii is most attractive because it has a prodigious heritage and diverse cultures compared to the other church schools. In short, the cultural diversity attracts me to BYU Hawaii. I have grown up in an area that is not culturally diverse. I enjoy meeting people of different backgrounds and ethnicities because it opens my eyes to the diversity throughout the world. It is exciting to be around and meet people that come from different backgrounds. I am always intrigued by their unique cultures. There is an older Hawaiian woman in my ward that has
Four of my relatives have graduated from Georgia Tech, so I have been raised with an unwavering pride for the school, and if I were to attend, I would be the first female in my family to do so. A degree from Georgia Tech guarantees my future in a career I am absolutely passionate about, and after much research it is clear that Georgia Tech is more catered to my needs and
Leadership, exploration, diversity and involvement are among the top reason why I want to be apart of VCU Globe. Being a member of VCU Globe Living and Learning Community will open up opportunities to enhance my educational experience rather it through their foreign language programs, Peace Corps prep program, or studying abroad. I hope to gain insight into global issues as well as participate in activities and discussions that will help me become a more well-rounded and active Global citizen. The diversity of cultures and backgrounds among individuals housed in West Grace North as well as exposed within the VCU Globe program is another reason why I feel as though this program will benefit me in the long run in terms of Careers. I have always
Furthering my studies in WNMU is a big change for me, but I am getting settled with the unique community and people who give a warm acceptance of who you are in regardless of your ethnicity. My undergraduate degree is in social work and where I was placed during that period was in the mental health institute and with substances abused population.
Joining NYU has been one of the best decision's of my life. I love being a part of such a vibrant community. As a Graduate Student Ambassador, I get a chance to meet and interact with so many students from different backgrounds and cultures which turns out to be a great learning experience for me. It's such a privilege to work with the Student Resource Center.
To be truthful, what initially interested me about Georgia Tech was the rankings. Georgia Tech was unbeatable compared to the other colleges in the area. However, that changed when I visited during one of the College of Science's sessions. During the visit, I had the blessing of being able to attend an Introductory biology class, and I was truly amazed at the dedication and awareness that those students had about the world around them. They were studying the case of Molly Nash and her disease Fanconi Anemia, and the student that I was sitting next to offered to let me participate and work with her. I got so excited that I had the chance to be a part of it. Right then, I had a new reason to go to Georgia Tech. I wanted to be a part of a college
