If I need to reflect on the short time during my time in HDP 98 Career Development class to my first quarter in last fall, then I will be frank: I do not think I have really change too much for paradigm shift. The difference between my time in the fall quarter and winter quarter is that now I have declared my major Speculative Design in the two emphasis, Design/Computing and Public Culture/Urban Ecologies, and currently working on two projects relating to the emphasis. If I need to include any lessons from HDP 98, then I have identified some of my career readiness competencies including critical thinking/problem solving, innovation & entrepreneurial thinking, teamwork/collaboration, and self-reflection. Personality wise, I did not really change that much; however, discovering my goals to achieve during my time at UCSD, then yes, I have gain a purpose. …show more content…
It is quite a task, but I need to play out my part on the unwritten script with my character traits: 1) Futuristic, 2) Restorative, 3) Includer, 4) Ideation, and 5) Adaptability. My future career is just among the countless ambitions and dreams I want to achieve throughout my

I will also talk about some the benefits and median salary for this career. I will then answer two questions at the end of this paper in order to complete the requirements set aside for this paper.
Responsibility, leadership and commitment are often associated with the term “society.” Being a member of a club requires responsibility, leadership and commitment. However, society often secludes the fact that people who leave their mark on this world, also have imagination. The National Junior Honor Society should consider me for their program because not only do I possess these three traits, but I also have creativity. Creativity has created the most radical inventions ever
I believe that the Master’s program will challenge me in subjects that I am not proficient in. I believe that the Master’s program will balance my education with a better understanding of the business aspects of health care. I do lack in a firm foundation of business knowledge and I am excited to learn. I know that the finance aspects of the Master’s program will be difficult for me but I will seek additional resources through the University of Phoenix. I also will utilize the resources I have around me on a daily basis with the current leadership I work with.

stretch your mind and your abilities to be the creative, innovative, and critical thinker you already are!
I would like to properly introduce myself to the individuals in this class who do not already know who I am, by providing some quick facts about my background, career goals, employment, favorite activities and communication skills.
I've always been a calm and collective individual, favoring the slow and calculated approach to problem solving, assuring the problem is achieved to maximum success. As such, I'm the kind of person to try everything first hand, in order to find out the true best way in order to accomplish a task, despite what a guide may say. However, I also have the intelligence to do so in a productive way. They say you shouldn't reinvent the wheel, and to build upon others success, at some point someone tried just that, and was able to create a 'better' wheel. At the end of the day, it is still a wheel, but it's this innovation that drives the world forward. I'm an innovator. I'll be the guy trying the thing no one thought of, using some method someone dismissed as 'xp waste' and still be able to put some spin on it in order to create something that is better than everything else.
Much of this stems from my enjoyment and fascination of the video game medium. Through gaming, I have experienced a multitude of different worlds and stories that past individuals never could have dreamed of. It has been an aspiration of mine to create an electronic representation that can parallel with some of the greatest games I’ve played. Already, I have partaken in creating my own worlds and stories through work within game engines, using mechanics in ways they were not originally designed for. I credit myself and my creation with novel creativity and promising ideas. I try to bring this creativity through in all of my work, whether it be a custom level of my own creation, an artistic project in my spare time, or a regular school
Over the course of this semester the way I approach my professional and personal life has evolved. I came to a realization that it is crucial to plan, however, most of the times things don’t go as planned. Especially, career wise I believe that choosing the consulting route would be the best option for me, however things might drastically change over the next few years. However, I still believe that setting a guidelines for myself and trying to comprehend what I want to achieve and what my aims are, are crucial in helping me lay out a path for the future. In pursuit of that, in todays’ paper I fist of all want to discover my preferences for the type of environment I need to thrive professionally. In addition to this, I want to evaluate myself and discover how I want my life to be. And finally after exploring where I stand and the shortcomings that I face, I want to use this paper to come up with measures to effectively achieve my goals and work on my flaws.
Through my Career Ed project I learned how to live a sustainable life with a typical paycheck I would receive. I chose the job of a psychiatrist based on my interests and ambitions. My whole life I have studied human behavior and analyzed why people act a certain way. I also like to help others and I want to give people the best lives that they can live. Being a psychiatrist would make me happy because I could learn more about human minds and the way they work by also helping people who are mentally and emotionally suffering. I had to make hard decisions on which car and house to buy. Firstly, I chose to buy a large family home which cost $199,900 because I thought it was a reasonable price for a home with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house also has a warm and happy exterior which is very important to me. I know that if I have a family someday they would enjoy living in our house too. The car I bought was a New 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan SE. I bought this car because not only because it was a nice price of $21,879, but because it’s a big and safe minivan
Not only was I thrown into another environment, but I also had to adjust to different styles of learning. One school would revolve around paper-based materials, while the other adopted the computerized method. Whereas I would be receiving a paper test at Euclid High School, the other would have student completing tests online. Although the new technology makes learning convenient, at certain times I find myself leaning towards the traditional method. Nonetheless, experiencing both worlds proved to give me an advantage. Adapting to multiple learning styles and environments will help me in the future. Knowing how to use new technology while not depending on it entirely results in versatility. Meanwhile, taking a career tech class provided me with skills that I would be able to use in my career. Having the opportunity to intern at an actual company and explore my interests, definitely helped influence my career path. Similarly, through the career tech class, I got to participate in SkillsUSA at the state level. Just getting chosen as one of the students to represent the school was an honor for me. Taking charge of my independence and putting to use my competitive side will be the most memorable for me. The person who puts in the most effort and comes in with a different approach
Though I am not completely sure which career path I will take, I know for a fact I am very artistic and will most likely end up somewhere that allows me to be creative. I love creativity in every form. While I did know this about myself, it was interesting to learn that I was also “enterprising.” Enterprising merely mean persuading
There are many personal characteristics that can affect a person as an individual and his professional success, namely openness, ability to learn and adapt etc. These personal characteristics can sometimes make a person successful and sometimes doesn’t. As I spend more and more time as a professional, I perceive that there are few characteristics that are essential for professional success: namely ambitious, creative and adaptable. These characteristics come out in many different ways. Have you set your goals? Have you decided the path you have to take to pursue your goal? What are the sacrifices you can do to achieve your ambition? How much can you think out of the box to resolve a particular issue or bring new idea to the table? How
I am an open minded individual with a passion for creativity. In this ever-changing world, I believe creativity will allow me to foster new and innovative ideas, and effectively adjust to societal and organizational opportunities (Daft, 2012). Due to dynamic cultures in todays work environment, I hope to employ critical thinking that encourages ethical actions and accomplishment
Effective leaders need to be creative and innovative. Effective leaders need to understand that the blood of the organization which they are leading lays innovation and creativity (Swid, 2015). Creation of new ideas can result in programs which are superior to the already planned or established plans. The responsibility of the leadership is to engage appropriate people in the right times, to the appropriate degree but in creative manner. Employee creativity is also enhanced by leaders who are inspirational. Any business
