There’s challenge around us all the time in our daily life. Thus there are lots of choices that you could make to change your life different with others. Someone hesitated, and chose to go around the problem, however, others faced it with courage and solve the problem. The difference between man and man were started one little hard thing, and became more and more different throughout thousands of hard things. One of the hardest thing for me is to get outside your comfort zone. I’m the kind of person that always want to provide the most comfortable environment for myself. I like to make my desk became the best study place, and make food that I enjoy, which are the good things. However, I also like to keep in touch with friends that I familiar …show more content…
I’ve learned lots of different instruments and skills, however, I give up almost all of them till now. I was planning to learn at least twenty new vocabularies every day when I first got America, however, I stick it for a week and I never picked up the vocabulary book again. This is the hard thing that I still need to overcome it. It is very important to challenge the hard things instead of run away. It layered people into different height, and depend rather the person will get successful or …show more content…
Begin working with little things, and make the detail perfect. This sentence is very simple, but it is not easy to do. It tells us: things in the world are big and small, any big thing is begin with little things, more little things add up together became big things.
In our life simple things are all around us. For example: when some students faced difficulties, you eager to lend a helping hand, it would be a little thing; when you got back home, and do more responsibility as a child, such as do the dishes, and clean your own bed, and think about parents, it would be a little thing, too. By doing those little things in life not only for themselves and for others.
I like to challenge big projects, such as Mrs. Frey’s portfolio, and Cyrano play. I enjoy the fulfillment, after I accomplished it. However, small things like do the dishes after I used it, or clean my room are always the things that I’ll forgot easiest. One time, I was sick badly, and I used a lot of tissues, after I used the tissue I through the on the table randomly. My mom get really frustrated then I do this, and critic my behavior seriously. After she pointed out I just realized what I did, which is very impolite and not clean. From then on, I will automatically remember my mom’s angry face when I leave trash on the

“I bet most of us have experienced at some point the joys of less: college-- in your dorm, traveling-- in a hotel room, camping-- rig up basically nothing, maybe a boat”. Graham Hill, a TED Talk speaker said “Less Stuff, More Happiness.” Today people disagree with that, they believe the more someone has, the more joyful their life will be. But Hill voices his opinion to say the more items people have, the less happy they could truly become. What people truly need in life, is the simple things. Graham Hill used ethos, formal language, and hasty generalization to persuade the audience of his beliefs.
“Accept the challenge so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory.” Stated by George S. Patton, a senior officer of the United States Army, trying to explain that if you try to achieve difficult goals and complete them, you will feel success and feel good about yourself. You will feel that because you knew that you have put in the work to complete that and you have felt better than you ever felt before. Challenges are always needed because they help you gain confidence, grow, learn, and excel in whatever you are doing. They are needed because when you excel, you want to do more challenging things because you want to feel that success again. This means that when you have tough goals and complete it, you will feel success and grow as an individual and want to challenge yourself even more.
Whenever my mom does laundry and brings it up to my room, I never put it away. Putting away laundry is one of my least favorite things to do. It takes so long, and then you take it out again anyways. I always lie and tell my mom that I actually did put away my laundry. Then in the week following, manage to keep her out of my room until I actually put it away. This is a great example of actions speaking louder than words. My words made me seem like a hard-working, obedient child. In reality, my actions showed I am a lazy procrastinator that can only wish she had a clean room. I get in trouble for not doing my laundry, though, and this rash decision can lead to severe consequences, such as being
It’s ok to challenge ourselves, we are often encouraged to push ourselves to the max because the greatest reward lies within overcoming obstacles. What they don’t tell us is that while it’s always great for us to grow, we need to be aware of our limits and be careful so we don’t put ourselves in a situation that could potentially be way over our heads. Malcolm Gladwell uses the story of Caroline Sacks in his book David and Goliath to warn us of the consequences that come with putting yourself in a difficult ordeal. Caroline has to deal with a situation she believed she could handle, but the David vs Goliath fight backfires and instead of the underdog coming out on top and conquering the terrifying giant, she is overwhelmed by the magnitude of the
On tuesday we have discussed a banning word which was considered the new b word which is bossy. This was discussed a little on monday but was mostly continued on tuesday. Bossy is used on mostly a female which means what it is, someone who is acting like a boss and tells others what to do. It may seem like a good thing due to the fact that being a boss is good thing but it is used as a bad word which is why it is the new “ b word “. I can see why people are trying to ban the word bossy and I can agree with it but there are many other words that are used in a bad way like bossy and they can be used on men as well. As they described it, if a women seems to be controlling things she can be seen as someone “ bossy ’’ which is a bad thing yet when a man is being a boss he is considered a “ leader ’’ which seems to be good thing. The point is to show how negativity is spread by the word bossy to women.

This assertion is basically saying that we waste our lives worrying about the small details that won’t even matter in the future. For example, a lot of people spend a lot of their time in high school looking for a boyfriend/ girlfriend. For those few people who do find their significant other, congratulations, but that is not the case for many people. This search for your soulmate is a huge waste of time that could've been spent
Minimalism: A Documentary about important things follows the journey of two novelists, Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus, determined to help people escape the crippling disease in society, consumerism. The idea of minimalism is to narrow down the material items one bring into their life to better your ability to realize what is truly important to you and what makes you happy. The documentary explores the human tendency to become dissatisfied with everything in our lives and expresses that by living a life based less on the things we have we will be able to better appreciate everything surrounding us. We allow the evolving consumer market to influence the way we live to the point where we start to base our self-worth of the
Hence the common denominator of at least the topics enumerated above. Choosing to make a difference in the world we know, be it a word, a smile, a gift of time, presence, a helping hand when most needed… In doing that, we acknowledge the fragility and preciousness of now, and we have opportunities to build on it the tomorrow that will matter.
A small good thing is a story that is not so good. It’s a sad story about a little boy who get hit by a car and later dies from shock. But, throughout the story the author, Raymond Carver has a theme most people don’t pick up right away. Raymond talks about human connection. This theme is very unique in such a sad story. He talks about how two people would hold hands or even rub someone’s back. He really goes into detail with the different connections between two or more people.
Simplicity is not just a noble character, but also an asset. It is a ladder to success. It makes one an object of admiration which cannot be bought with money or lived easily. It is not as easy as it is called. When you are without spot, you 're not only a figure for admiration, but also a focus for jealousy and hatred; and in no distant time, so many unwanted notes would be filed against you. You need not be weary or worry because I have an assurance for you. In style, in character, in manner, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity.
Without one tiny atom of obligation or expectation to act, simply connect to your crucial role on life's big stage.
Oftentimes, we fail to recognize that it isn’t simply the big things in life that matter. It is also the cumulative effect of consistently finishing the small things that leads to our eternal destiny.
