The best way to serve as a role model at workplace is to either have a clear, defined and organised work method and interact successfully with colleagues at all levels. For example a good role model will always organise his work by setting goals, managing time effectively and sharing his personal experience with others, he will also encourage them.
The Board of Nursing is a regulatory agency that enforces the Nurse Practice act through disciplinary action, provides the NCLEX for registered nurses to obtain their license to practice in that state and approves nurse education programs (Cherry & Jacob p.71). The Board of Nursing regulates my personal professional nursing practice by the following. I have to pass the NCLEX to get my RN license and keep up with my continuing education units. I have to renew my RN license every year on my birthday to ensure that my license remains valid and maintain safe practice by following the Nurse Practice Act. If I do not follow the Nurse Practice
John is advised when there is a change in the day, and the change in the schedule is documented for his future reference.
The face of nursing has evolved and changed since it’s inception. Today’s nurse is faced with cultural, ethical and technological issues that didn’t exist even twenty years ago. As such, nurses have had to continuously evolve to continue to provide the quality, selfless care that patients have always relied on them for, and expected, since the very beginning of nursing. From pediatrics to gerontology, nurses are serving a culturally, religiously and financially diverse population with challenging needs. In the face of this, nursing itself is becoming ever more diverse in it’s culture and skill set, which is helping the profession stay in the race, and continue to advance the practice of nursing.
the new calendar is the best, and that all who oppose it are either lazy, enemies, or
Personal values and professional values run parallel in the social work field. Recognizing and managing your personal values while working with clients is an important task. Concentrating on your professional values is required for a social worker to assist her client to the best of her ability. During my internship there have been a number of cases that I have had to practice managing my personal values.
calendar to plan the day or the week, if somewhere on the side were the letters, “S D G.”

Since the beginning, people have created calendars for order and to value life. Calendars have provided us a reference for measuring the passage of time throughout our existence. They have evolved from picking up more information from other ideas and ancient cultures. These include the Egyptian calendar, the Gregorian calendar (the one we use today) and the Mayan calendar. Historically, the creation of a calendar that provides both a satisfactory representation of time and practical value for the ordering of life has proved a vexing problem.
Digital calendar and also web- based calendar is designed for some years. It can be easily synchronized with other devices. In this we have to-do list and we can set alarm or reminders for upcoming events. We can
There are several different types of schedules that can be as simple as a “To do List” or as complex as a plan for a construction project.
Barry (2007) suggests that one can stay organized by keeping a calendar and a mastering a to-do list. I have gotten better about keeping my planner updated and looking at it every day. It unfortunately took me three years in college to finally get to this point. However, I’ve yet to master making and completing an actual daily to-do list. While I make a mental to-do list for the next day every night, I do think that it would be helpful to make one that I could visually see and hold. This would be helpful because I could refer to it during the day instead of wondering and guessing what I need to do next. I also need to improve the way that I can make people feel special. To make people feel special, and to let people know they are appreciated it is recommended that one should be writing and sending thank-you notes (Barry, 2007, p. 124). I have always been unsure of writing thank-you notes but I have since learned that building and maintaining strong relationships will require me to show my appreciation in many ways. These acts of appreciation are not only meant for bosses but for anyone who helps in my
Personal development objectives are affected by organisations goals, as companies will want to steer their employees in a direction that should meet their corporate strategy and link into the mission statement. However, personal objectives and organisational objectives should tie in together and have a common goal, which should meet the needs of both participants (Dransfield, 2000). Although organisational objectives can hold a negative attribute to employee’s personal development, if the company invests time into employees PDP and employees can see that there is a plan in place for job promotion, then they’re more likely to keep their staff (Cotton, 2011). A future plan will add value to the business as it will improve employee’s skills and personal development strengths which will give a positive effect on the company performance.
Another important part of the ritual is giving up certain habits (like social media) for a week to decrease distractions and focus on what needs to be done. The elimination of distractions, even the ones inside of us, like fears and self-doubt is imperative to sustain a healthy creative mind.
In reflecting from this whole situation, I feel that in the future, I need to write down certain conversations that I have. Up until two weeks after my suspension I was left guessing of what I did. That’s something I need to make into a habit in the future because that could benefit me down the road. This situation also reminded me of why it’s helpful to be tolerant of people because we all come across as foolish or ignorant sometimes by some people without even realizing it. I was in the wrong. My actions were inappropriate for the workplace setting. Dr. Lisco reminded me that this is not a manufacturing or welding job. This is a professional white collar job.
