Belonging, a word so simple yet possesses such powerful meaning. It's often used when an individual becomes involved in something; it is the feeling of security where members feel included and accepted. True sense of belonging can be found in various places as different individuals have their own different desires, needs and values. They find their place in the world and a genuine sense of belonging in different circumstances. Personally, I feel like I belong more on the relationships I made on social media such as Twitter, Tumblr and YouTube. In these platforms I am able to communicate with people who have the same interests and morals as I do. He would always assure that the team members he guides are in good terms with each other. However, he isn't able to maintain his own personal relationships. Through the course of the movie, it was shown that his relationship with his daughter Mary Helen is strained as it is but when Radio came in the picture it got worse. Coach Jones would always be present when it comes to Radio. He protected him from the school administration, bailed Radio when he got arrested, organized a charity event where Radio received lots of gifts and freed him when the football team bullied him. Whereas, Jones is always mentally and emotionally absent when it comes to Mary Helen. He didn't attend the parents-teachers conference and isn't aware of Mary Helen's activities. Mary Helen felt left out but despite of what's happening she tried to understand her dad's actions. She realized that Radio needs Jones' attention more, which why she forgave him. Jones, on the other hand also reflected on his actions after Frank told him he was a horrible father. He realized that he should divide his time for Radio and his daughter because they both needed attention. The start of Radio and Jones’ friendship had a bad impact on Mary Helen at first, but in the end everything fell into its …show more content…

He would always look for approval and affection from his dad, thus why he partook in Radio's bullying. His blatant distaste for Radio was evident throughout the movie he locked him in a shed for taking the football and framed Radio up for peaking in the girls’ change room. However, this was not all his doings Frank injected these poisonous ideas into his mind. He made Johnny believed that Radio will hinder him from reaching his goals and will take all the glory that he was supposed to received. This all changed when Radio touched his heart through a letter and a radio. This made him realized that excluding people wouldn't do any good,thus why he redress his actions and protected Radio from his dad. His acceptance of Radio and himself made him more understanding and emphatic to others. This was shown when he bid Radio and congratulated him for graduating. His inclusion of others had a really good impact on his skills, feelings and freewill, however this put a strain on his relationship with his
