John and James Harrison created the clock. It started in the 1700s when ships had no idea where they were going in the sea and were crashing into various things. The sextant used latitude but the ships used knots to tell their longitude. However, using knots became inaccurate. For example, a group of five ships made a wrong navigation and four of those ships sank; 2,000 men Sam, from those 4 ships. As the Harrison's starting to make their clocks there were three thinks that they needed: a wheel, time regulator, and a power source. These clocks became more and more accurate, they really changed the world, and people couldn't live without them.

Without clocks nothing would ever end or start the time you wanted it to. Going to bed and waking up would be a problem for things like going to work. Also how would something be able to end at a certain …show more content…

Imagine how unorganized everything would be. Your school day could run so long that you don't even have time to spend time with your family and you have to go to bed. You also would be able to eat the usual three meals a day because they have to be spread out. Most sports it has to be light out to play. You can't play soccer in the dark, so how are u supposed to know when to play soccer if you don't know when it gets dark out. Not having time is especially a huge problem when you are cooking food. When you cook things like eggs, for example you would probably overcook them more than you would cook them right.

Once clocks became more accurate, they really changed the world. Without clocks nothing would ever end or start the time you wanted it to. People would never be able to make plans the times they want to. Finally, the average persons day would be too unorganized to actually keep track of what you have to do. So, without the Harrison brothers, we wouldn't nearly be living the life that we love
