In this book while Harry prepares for his third year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and wizardry, eledgide murder Sirius Black escapes from Wizarding Prison Azkaban. Harry is in the muggle (non magical) world at the time and does not realize who this is. When he accidentally cast a spell to inflate his aunt he runs to the wizarding world. He stays in Diagon Alley, a magical village, waiting for his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Harry finds out from Ron’s dad Mr.Weasley that Sirius Black is believed to be after him. It shows the whole school and where everyone is. It also includes passages that lead from the school to Hogsmeade. Harry uses them to meet up with his friends, and they head into a bar where kids from Hogwarts are aloud, The Three Broomsticks. When in there Harry hears from under his invisibility cloak that Sirius Black use to be great friends with his parents, and that it is believed that he is the reason they are dead, because he sold their secret location to Voldemort, the dark lord of the wizarding world, and that he is Harry’s godfather. All this news comes as a shock and infuriates Harry, who vows that if he ever find Sirius Black he will kill him. To add to the bad news, Buckbeak was sentenced to death. On the day of the execution Harry Ron and Hermione go over to Hagrid's hut to comfort him. When they leave Ron is dragged by the leg, by a large black dog into the roots of a tree. The other two chase after him and end up in an empty room with Ron, and Sirius Black. Harry seizes the opportunity and tries to kill him but is stopped by Professor Lupin who suddenly appears. He was not in Diagon Alley, but Knockturn Alley. He was in an old store, Draco Malfoy and his father came in to sell so stuff. Harry hid just in time, so Draco couldn’t see him. The Malfoys left, Harry got out of the store. The half giant, Hagrid, helped Harry find the Weasleys. They went to the bank, Gringotts, for money to buy their books. Next, they went to Flourish and Blotts, the bookstore, where Gilderoy Lockhart, a famous wizard, was signing books. They got their books and went back to the Burrow. A few days later, they all packed their stuff up and took the flying car to the station. Everyone was through, but Ron and Harry, they ran into it and hit hard, the barrier had closed, they waited for a few minutes and went to the car. Ron decided to fly the car to school. They were landing when they mashed into a tree. The tree started punching the car. The car fell, threw them out and drove off. Ron’s wand broke on the end.

Little did anyone know that on March 26, 1968 a superstar would be born, and the star would not be known for throwing, running, or catching footballs but singing (“Kenny Chesney.”)? The country genre did not know it for a while, but it had a person that was going to bring country music to new heights. With a mix of some traditional country music mix with some rock country and island country music it would make Kenny Chesney a very successful country artist.
They then tell Harry to be careful with his actions. Later on in the story Harry and his friends get lead outside to a secret shack because of a screaming that they hear. In the shack they confront Sirius the man accused of killing Harry’s mom and dad and they try to capture him. Sirius tries to explain to Harry and the gang the truth but does not get through to them because of Harry’s anger and rage. With a little help from surprise visitors Harry realizes the truth and his judgment changes toward Sirius. Sirius tells him he was tricked and that he was partly responsible for their death. But he would do anything to change the past. He was then appointed Harry’s stepfather. After another scuffle Sirius is caught and taken up to Hogwarts dungeon where he was to be executed by a dementors kiss (in which the soul is sucked out through the mouth). Dumbledore knows the truth and helps Harry save Sirius. Sirius leaves for a hiding place and their he resides until his death in the 5th book. The conflict in this story was trying to find Sirius and find the truth. It is solved when Harry finds him and discovers the truth.
The book starts with the students, Harry, Ron, and, Hermione going back to Hogwarts after summer vacation. Voldemort is free and is wreaking havoc throughout the wizarding world. Dumbledore has a plan but first he must inform Harry of Voldemort’s past. Throughout the story the trio finds out who the half-blood prince is and discover ways to defeat Voldemort. His soul is connected to his horcruxes. By destroying Voldemort’s Horcruxes they are destroying parts of his soul, which is the only way to defeat him. Harry believes that Snape is working for Voldemort, but no one believes him.
Soon after entering Hogwarts, Harry must face a road of trials which will eventually lead him to achieve his unlikely treasure. While roaming the halls after curfew, Harry receives detention in the forbidden forest, and comes face to face with the Dark Lord. Other obstacles come to place when Harry travels down the trap door into the chambers; such as devil’s snare, a human wizard’s chess game, and the room of keys (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone). The series of tests make Harry’s mission difficult; however, the knowledge he gains from the unsuccessful trials bring him closer to his main goal. These minor bumps in Harry’s journey strengthen him emotionally and physically, readying him to defeat the traitor at the end of his succession of tests. Unexpectedly, the betrayal comes from the quivering Professor Quirrell who voluntarily gives up his body to the Dark Lord. Harry sees himself in the mirror and realizes he is magically in possession of the Sorcerer’s Stone. Shortly
