In order for Harry’s business venture to be legally permitted he would have ensure that each time this event was to take place strict rules will be followed by all participants in order to completely comply with the law laid down in the Hunting Act 2004.
Firstly Harry should be aware that section 1 of the Hunting act “Hunting wild mammals with dogs” states that “A person commits an offence if he hunts a wild mammal with a dog, unless his hunting is exempt.” From this Harry would need to determine whether Mink are in fact a wild mammal, this can be done by referring to section 11 sub-section 1 where under paragraphs (c) “a wild mammal which has escaped or been released from captivity or confinement,” and (d) “any mammal which is living

In order for harry to know if his activity will allow him to be exempt, section two “Exempt Hunting” subsection one says “Hunting is exempt if it is within a class specified in Schedule 1.” The main areas for harry to pay attention to in Schedule 1 are section 1 “Stalking a wild mammal, or flushing it out of cover, is exempt hunting if the conditions in this paragraph are satisfied.” We can see from what we are told about the Mink eating young birds from a nearby wildfowl centre and trout from a farmer’s trout farm. That Harrys activity will fall under section 2 “The first condition is that the stalking or flushing out is undertaken for the purpose Of” paragraph (a) “preventing or reducing serious damage which the wild mammal would otherwise cause” sub-paragraphs (ii) to game birds or wild birds (within the meaning of section 27 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (c. 69))” and sub-paragraph (vi) to fisheries. With regards to the rest of Schedule 1 there are conditions that Harry
Hunting is a common activity all around the world, and if performed properly, can have many benefits to us and the rest of the planet. The art of hunting has been around since the beginning of time. Living off of the land used to be a necessity across the world, until the mass production of food came along. In America, people do not usually need to hunt to survive. However, the population of animal species needs to be controlled. Too many of one type of animal can cause a drastic change to any ecosystem. Food supplies decline quickly, leaving many animals without food. Hunting can help keep the population of a group of animals at a good number, making the lives of the other
Many people think of the bahamas, or a five star hotel when a vacation is mentioned, however that is not true for all. For those who enjoy the outdoors and nature, a nice hunting trip speak more to them. Hunting has been seen in our culture for centuries as a way of reconnecting with nature, and in todays world with the lack of predators it is used to keep nature in balance, as well as keeping in touch with our ancestral traditions.
Hunting nowadays is becoming more popular around the world. There are many different types of animals that you can
Many people have misconceptions about hunting. One such misconception is that hunting is easy and any person can go sit in the woods and wait for an animal to cross the hunter’s path. However, people who believe this are sorely mistaken. Hunting is not just sitting in the woods with a rifle; there are many other aspects that must be considered. An individual must have all preparations complete, purchase or gather the equipment needed, and know what to listen for while in the woods.
Poaching animals when not in season is a big habit for many, and a lot of those people don't get caught and even the ones who do aren't getting punished like they should. When we kill animals when
Introduction: Duck hunting, stereotypes aside, is a civilized and principled sport. From the 18 March – 12 June is this year’s annual duck hunting season. It is not just every man for himself, in fact there are a lot of rules that need to be taken in place during duck hunting. Here are some behind the scenes of this recognised form of entertainment.
Hunting is a sport that men and women around the world have enjoyed for centuries. However, today there is so much controversy over whether it is ethical or beneficial for animals to be hunted. People who do not support hunting are not aware of the benefits it offers for not only the hunter, but also the animal population. There are hunting seasons, specific types of guns the hunters can use, the time sportsmen can hunt, and many other rules that keep sportsmen from hunting unfairly or overhunting. Sportsmen must buy license and tags to hunt legally, which keeps many people from hunting. The people who go against these regulations face heavy fines and in some cases, jail time. People who do not support hunting probably are not aware that because
From gophers to the mighty Cape buffalo, people across the world love hunting animals. It has been a favorite past time for countless years and a survival need as old as the dinosaurs themselves. One local millionaire however, took the sport severely too far.
Poaching animals is defined as the “illegal hunting or capturing of wild animals mainly in areas in which hunting is forbidden” . The main difference between poaching and hunting is the legal permission, indeed “hunting is regulated by the government, and hunters must obtain permits authorizing them to kill certain animals” .
If the small game hunting seasons were not as regulated as they already are, humans still could not even come close to putting a dent in populations of each species. Hunters are only allowed a certain number of animals for each hunting season. If a hunter kills a limit of twenty geese in one day which is all that is allowed and does that everyday for the hunting season he is not hurting the population whatsoever, because one goose could reproduce many geese which replenishes the population. Another reason as to why regulations should not be as strict is there are plenty of animals to go around every single person multiple times. Even if every person went out and kill their limit of geese the population would not suffer any.

When a Minnesota dentist killed a prized African lion named "Cecil" he received an onslaught of criticism and reignited the debate concerning hunting. I hunt. I have hunted for years and I don't see anything wrong with it. The reasons I hunt are for the meat, I think it tastes better than store-bought meat and it doesn't have any additives in it, and for the time I get to spend out in the mountains. However, there are some people who are against hunting.
Studies have shown in recent years that the amount of problems for game wardens has increased dramatically. In an article by the New York Time’s, William Dicke states that in previous years, economic issues have caused an uptick in poaching (Dicke, para. 7). Due to the sheer number of unemployed and the rates going up, crime is rising as well, and it shows in abnormal crimes like poaching. Since the unemployed have nothing to do, and they have too much time on their hands, the act of poaching is becoming more common. Often the animal is not harvested for its food products, but instead for its antlers or skin. This goes to demonstrate one of the various problems that game wardens often face, poaching.
Buzzle: Hunting Pros and Cons. Last but never least, sport hunting should be banned due to the fact that it causes the endanger and extinction of animal species. “One glaring negative of hunting for sport is over hunting. This occurs when hunters kill too many of a species, threatening their survival.” (Life123). Species become endangered when they are over hunted, and if hunters take it too far, the species will no longer exist. “…there are many animals that have been over-hunted and brought to near extinction, one example being the American Buffalo. Another example was the over-killing of the Cougar. Although this animal was hunted to protect cattle from being attacked, it led to this species nearly becoming extinct.” (Buzzle) The substandard thing about species becoming extinct is that they might not reappear until millions of years later. Imagine how long that would
