Health care reform Health care reform in the United States has a long history. Reforms have often been proposed but have rarely been accomplished.Future reforms of the American health care system continue to be proposed, with notable proposals including a single payer system and a reduction in fee for service medical care.
From the research,to establish a national health care system has been an dream for all the Amrican ,especially it is a century long dream of the republican part. It is also a lot of economists and health scientists in the United States is committed to promoting.
But reform has following problems:
Poor Fairness The United States is the only country did not execute the national health insurance in developed countries in the world. The U.S. government established medical institution for soldiers and veterans to directly provide a service; Specifically for the elderly and the poor health risks provides insurance protection. The health risks of American average residents only can be guaranteed by means of private health insurance.There are about 46 million people in the United States lack of medical risk guarantee. Its proportion is more than 15% of the population, 80% of working families
Inefficient
According to the world bank data, the United States in 2005, the medical expenses of which accounts for 15.2% …show more content…

This measure can ensure that as many propel as possible pay insurance. Also, because the U.S fiscal deficit, federal funding is very limited. Therefore, if government getting overly involved in the health care reform, that will lead to government continue financial difficulties. So, government should implementation of health care reform in the case of financial allowance. And because of the U.S government has a growing federal deficits, the U.S government should be more concern about its own financial problems
