He is one of the well known jokers of all times, everyone compare all jokers to him, and he is the only one who won an academy awards for his joker role. If you are wondering who I am talking about, I am talking about Heath Ledger. Today I am here to convince you that Heath Ledger was the best joker in the history of cinema. The joker is a fictional character who is the villain in Batman series. Ledger however, was not the first person to play the role of joker, but he was the last, before the joker in recent movie Suicide Squad which was played by Jared Leto. This is important to know because there were many actors who played the role of joker and there will be more to come, but everyone, either in movie industry or not, look-up to Heath Ledger …show more content…
I. The first point that proves Heath was the best joker is the fact that his joker was
truly evil.
A. There are many characteristics that make joker who he is, but the most
important one is that he truly is evil. Many actors fail to show that, but
Ledger did a great job of showing the evil personality that joker had.
1. As an anonymus source said in a movie review about Ledger’s
joker in CNN, “According to a Russian proverb, God makes the
priests. Jesters come from the devil. You won’t have any trouble
believing that aphorism when you see Heath Ledger’s mesmerizing
performance as the joker in the Dark Knight.”
B. Many actors who played the role of joker, didn’t successed in showing the
evil side of the joker. They rather showed him as a crazy person, which is
true but that is not the only characteristics that joker has. Ledger whoever
did a pretty good job playing the evil joker.
1. As The Daily Mail reviews his playing, “Ledger is subtler and
scarier then Jack Nicholson’s joker was in Tim Burton’s first
Batman film, but his character has nowhere to get except madder
and
“You can't kill me without becoming like me,” stated the Joker, a DC Comics fictional
He was willing to do anything and everything in order to get the money he wants. This type of greed is the greed that is normally represented in films; the bad guy is always greedy for money. That is one thing that sets Joker apart from other villains. He doesn’t care about the money. In this particular scene, he is shown to be in control.
Everyone knows about Joker’s struggles with mental health. However, there’s another that goes unseen until this film. Though, it's evident in the comics. Jason Todd is best recognised as Batman’s second sidekick, Robin. Although, few people have analysed the second Robin's issues with bipolar. This includes other mental issues that made him a potentially
He loved what the Joker did in the movie by tormenting and killing others. The Joker was always recognized as the smartest villain because he always had boobie traps and poison gas in his arsenal when it came to weaken and slow down Batman. However, James took what he seen during the movie and see if he imitates the Joker's mentality. By the end of the film, Holmes had his hair dyed red like how the Joker's hair was and wore a gas mask like what Joker wore when he tends to poison his victims with gas and he began to shoot at everyone in the movie theater. When the police arrested him and did investigation, Holmes claimed himself to be the Joker and that he had a mental
The Joker, is a purposeless criminal. He will destroy anything, or anyone who gets in his way, just to accomplish his goal, to break Batman's personal rules, to never kill or harm anyone, but to save Gotham City from danger and
The Joker has no alter ego. He walks around the way he is with his deformed face full of scars and in some versions, with his bright colored hair and bleached skin, always with that maniac, chilling laughter which always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. He has no personal agenda to all the brutality he inflicts, no thirst for revenge or materialistic goals made him reach this point. He lives to dismantle the codes the society lives by and all he hopes for is to rip apart the expected codes of morality, so the people can then be free of any faith, any belief of right or wrong. He creates situations for the people of his town
The fourth question asks why there are differences between The Joker and the rest of us. “Freud would argue that different people develop in differing environments and had different childhood experiences” (Psychoanalysis of The Joker). The reason The Joker is different from all of us is his complicated past. Due to unknown childhood experiences, he never developed a superego.
The opening scene starts off with five small-time criminals working under the devious mastermind that is the Joker. The dark,
His signature laugh became a trademark for The Joker and this is why, when Jared Leto was selected to play the villain in “Suicide Squad”, he knew it was a huge responsibility and would require unique preparation. So, he put himself entirely into the role so much so that we did not listen from him. But now that the
There is no character who is really like no other in the world of comic book villains, and that character is the Joker. Which would be hard for a person to actually find a character who is deep and this disturbed in the world of comic book villains? The mind that originated him, Jerry Robinson, must have been a very twisted person, undoubtedly. The Joker represents a theory about existence that part of me believes that all people wish we could embrace in our own way. He is an outrageous character, the stuff he does to other people is the lowest of the lows. The Joker is also a fascinating character, with an interesting world view, which is why he is my favorite villain. He has so many characteristics that make him even more interesting, like his history, his character, and how is he portrayed.
Freeze, and Catwoman. There are so many iconic villains that Batman has to fight, whereas Superman has Lex Luthor, and that’s mostly it. The villains aren’t just great due to popularity, though. Growing up, I owned two Batman movies. One from 1989, and the critically acclaimed movie: The Dark Knight. In the 1989 version, Jack Nicholson’s Joker is more of a crazy mob boss who’s lost his mind, and he was incredible. When I heard that Heath Ledger would play the Joker, I told myself that he would never hold a candle to Nicholson. But the acting that Ledger displayed was outstanding. Instead of going for a very silly approach, he went for a crazy and serious Joker, which genuinely scared people. Ledger is the only person to win an Oscar in a comic book movie, and it was well-deserved. And that is why Batman’s villains are so iconic; there is no “right way” to play them. When the actor becomes the character, he or she can become whatever type of villain they please. With Lex Luthor, the only recognizable Superman villain, it’s so hard to play him, because the only thing we see him do is try to kill Superman. Other than that, he has no storyline, no connection to Superman, and is only around to be a villain, so you can’t do anything with the character.
From his insane cackle to his neon green, slicked back hair and outfits (The no shirt and leather jacket look was on point). Critics were tough on Leto, but in my opinion he's the best Joker yet, next to Heath Ledgers portrayal in The Dark Knight Rises (2008). I'm looking forward to see more of him in upcoming films. And lastly, the anti-hero of the movie,
It's not quite fair to say that the late Heath Ledger steals "The Dark Knight" from Christian Bale and the forces of (problematic) good, but, as the Joker, he is the movie's animating principle and anarchic spark - an unstoppable force colliding with the immovable objects of Batman and director
The Joker’s constant twitching and licking of his lips as possible evidence of an oral fixation and would want to ask the Joker about his relationship with his mother. If we go ahead and believe that the Joker really did have and hate his abusive alcoholic father, then we would explore the conflict between the Joker and his father and as a result, the underdevelopment of a superego. In the second narration of the origins of his scars, the Joker tells Rachel that he once had a wife that was cut up by mobsters and that in an effort to make her feel better, he carves his own face and was devastated when she leaves him. If we believe this version of the story, then his anger from his father
