The transition from the Medieval period to the Early Modern period is marked by a few significant factors. These new discoveries were just the beginning of the potential of what the world would eventually become today. These events are the invention of the printing press by Johannes Gutenberg in 1450, the discovery of the New World in 1492 by Christopher Columbus, and the use and importance of gun powder. These new findings changed the way people lived and how they communicated with others.

During the classical era, civilizations around the world, including China, India, and Rome, underwent a period of immense political and cultural change; these changes paved the way for the past and future cultures to influence the world today. However, in India, a notable amount of change was seen in a relatively short time; the amount of transformation can almost be compared to civilizations that have lasted twice as long, such as China. Italian Renaissance revealed more of the humans that most of their art revolved around them nature, and reality painting nude and so forth. The Italian was more of real life art that looked real like I mention. They focused on beauty, mind, and power of humans. I did see how they felt that GOD was important, and people should have a relationship to their faith. Art was more of commissioned by the Catholic Church I think that it was more of seeing a visual picture for the artist. They wanted more than a painting they wanted it to come to life

In the early Middle Ages, the human voice, God's creation within us, had been regarded in the sacred realm as being the only instruments we needed. The church considered the use of instruments as profane. There was no musical notation as songs were passed along from person to person by rote memorization. It is important to study and understand these moments in history because it gives context to how they have shaped the world. Giovanni Bellini was born in Venice, Italy around 1430. He was the son of Jacopo Bellini, an esteemed painter at the time, and probably began his career along side his brother as an assistant in his father’s workshop. Though his artwork was influenced by many of his friends and relatives, Giovanni possessed certain qualities in his compositions which set him apart from the others. He blended the styles of both his father and brother-in-law, Andrea Mantegna, with his own subtle appreciation of color and light, the high regard he held for the detail of natural landscape, along with the very direct human empathy he placed in his painting. The scientific revolution did not mark the birth of science. The Renaissance began around the 14th century, which led to the humanism discovery of translation of hundreds of works from philosophers. During the 17th century major developments like Galileo. Along with Aristotle's natural philosophy where many works were lost. Aristotle influenced the middle ages and scholasticism (a system or method of thought). Quality v.s. Quantity meaning color, texture, and shape. Isaac Newton took place in the 17th century. In 1670 he had discovered the light spectrum and build the first reflective telescope.

The High Renaissance was one of the greatest explosions of creative genius in history. It was centered mostly in Italy during the early 16th century (Artists by Movement: The High Renaissance). The High Renaissance preceded the Early Renaissance. The Early Renaissance was had been mostly centered on Florence and was paid for by the rich Medici family (Italian High Renaissance Period (c.1490-1530)). On the other hand, the High Renaissance was mostly centered on Rome and paid for the popes (Italian High Renaissance Period (c.1490-1530)). It happened between the period of 14th and 16th century, which the development of arts and architecture played significant roles in their history. Medieval, also known as Dark Ages, was the era before Italian Renaissance that popular with their time of ignorance and superstition. During the Classical period, it was common for music to be louder, faster and not written for the church like it had been written in the Baroque or Renaissance period. Instead of the music being performed in churches, it was performed in concert halls or in the palace. Some of the most recognizable artists during that time were Mozart, Beethoven, and Hayden.
