Introduction The school that I chose to write this evaluation about is High Tower Trail Middle School, located in Marietta, Georgia. This was the middle school that I attended, and as I look back on it now with the knowledge that I have gained, I can see that it really is an amazing middle school. With middle school being a major struggle for many young adolescents, High Tower Trail did so many amazing things in order to ensure students felt included and had a safe learning environment. High Tower Trail also had some things that they could have improved on while I was there. Some of the strengths of High Tower Trail had were that it was always changing, it was challenging, and gave its students equal opportunities. Some areas where it could improve would be to encourage more parent involvement, encourage teachers to be more involved, and have more teamwork between the students and teachers. I believe that in this case the strengths out-weigh the areas that need improvement, but no school is perfect, and in order to be a successful middle school, it must keep changing in order to keep up with the students learning within its walls.
School Strengths Like every good school, High Tower Trail has its lists of strengths. For the purpose of this evaluation, the three that I will focus on are its ability to change to fit the needs of its students, its ability to challenge its students, and how the school gives students equal opportunities for learning. When I say that the

Operant conditioning applies to the enactment of criminal statutes in many ways. Society has been studied to determine what acceptable and unacceptable behaviors are. As a result of these studies and the enactment of statutes, they have identified those actions by citizens that are not desirable or dangerous

As of late, Stone Mountain has been repeatedly mentioned on the news and social media concerning the NAACP’s request that the Confederate Memorial Carving and other Civil War symbols be removed as it pertains to the racial conflict that presided over the Civil War. Without a doubt, Stone Mountain proves itself to be an important historical site for America’s history with its origins dating back to the time of the Native Americans. Stone Mountain can be remembered by history has a location where the Creek Confederation and the Cherokee people met. As more land began to be opened for white settlement, an influx of white settlers began moving in and establishing a town at the foot of Stone Mountain. Atlanta, known as the railroad hub of the South, has many railroads going from Atlanta to different parts of Georgia with Stone Mountain being one. This later led to more business for the town of Stone Mountain as people from the city started to visit the great mass of granite. Granite was a needed rock

For my entire life of schooling, both my parents and I would agree that I constantly complained about the educational systems in which I was enrolled. But when I actually take the time to think about everything I have been through, I realize that I have indeed had an excellent education. My schooling was full of opportunities and experiences, all of which contributed to the person I am today; adequate education has been an indispensable facet of my being. Sadly, not everyone has had this same privilege. And now as a college student, I am becoming even more aware of this sad fact. Looking around me in such a diverse city as Chicago, I find myself being more and more grateful. When I read Jonathan Kozol's Fremont High School, this these

First of all, continual feedback allows teachers to self-reflect on best practices. For example, a teacher can target his/her areas of weakness in order to grow professionally and gain further insight of best practices. Another benefit, of teacher evaluations is higher student success rates. These, for example, are measurable through district assessments and state standardized assessments. If a teachers success rate has significantly improved through modification of practices, T-TESS has served its intended purpose. Finally, yet another benefit of teacher evaluations is the fact that the educator is an active participant in his/her evaluation process. For example, through goal setting, the educator is allowed the opportunity to decide where he/she want to grow. Through the evaluation cycle and the communication therein, the appraiser and educator both take greater responsibility in understanding and meeting established goals. Finally, at the end of the process, student growth is an indicator of a well-developed and integrated evaluation system. These are but a few of the many benefits reaped from an evaluation systems such as T-TESS (TEA,

After reviewing the Balance sheet I have a concern regarding the Current and short term liabilities. Creditors/ trade payable is payment yet to be made for goods already received, if this continues to rise then it will effect the business profit and less stock will have to be ordered so repayments can be made. Bank overdrafts also continued to rise and in the long-term the business will be paying greater interest, which will again eat into the profit. Both increased quite a great deal from the last year-end. If this continues then the business will get into bad debts and owe too much that it will end up having to sale its assets to survive. Finally I can see that due to the above issues and other issues the net current assets/ working capital has decreased so therefore the business is less value then it was a year ago. If the business is worth £1 million now, this could soon decrease within another year.
My desire was to challenge myself and pursue my belief in life-long learning. And yes, the last eight weeks have definitely been a challenge intellectually in IDS 101. After the first two weeks of school, I seriously questioned why I would go back to school at fifty-one years of age for personal satisfaction. The days were long and I wasn’t sure I still had the self-discipline and determination that would be needed to finish. Over the last eight weeks, this class gave me numerous opportunities to hone my skills in critical thinking, research, and writing. This class has given me the necessary skills to continue toward completing my degree.
Huckleberry Finn’s crisis of conscience on the raft is a major turning point for Hucks personal journey in the story. The crisis scene and the Phelps farm reinforces the meaning of his journey by adding a conclusion to it. While a reason for Huck and Jim's journey was to get to freedom, Hucks personal journey was to find a home. Yet every time it seems that Huck has found a home, society’s ridiculous flaws keep him from staying too long. For instance at the Grangerfords home, Huck was happy there but he had to leave because there was a shootout. Hucks exposure to the flaws leads him to believe that not everything about society is right. The build up of these flaws lead us to the crisis of conscience moment where he has to choose between saving Jim and condemning his eternal soul to hell or writing a letter to Mrs. Watson explaining what happened. Although the crisis scene outcome was greatly influenced by Hucks love of Jim, this scene is important because it gives him the
"One generation passeth away, the passage from Ecclesiates began, and another generation cometh; but the earth abideth forever. The sun also ariseh…"(Baker 122). A Biblical reference forms the title of a novel by Ernest Hemingway during the 1920s, portraying the lives of the American expatriates living in Paris. His own experience in Paris has provided him the background for the novel as a depiction of the 'lost generation'.
