Environment
In today’s world, the majority of people overlook the needs of our environment, and in doing so, they put both themselves and Earth at risk by laying waste to the environment. Companies exploit Earth to make money, and humans trash it out of laziness or ignorance. If people continue this trend of abusing our environment, the problems will only increase. Oftentimes, when people litter or do anything to harm our environment, they don’t think of the consequences it may have, but it adds up when you change your perspective and look at everyone who does this. At some point, you have to stop relying on industrial companies and humans to do the right thing out of their own volition, and this is when the government comes in. It is up to

Hillary feels that the U. S. needs to combat the climate change by enforcing the laws that have been implemented and by taking advantage of the Paris Agreement that brought many nations of the world to come together to take on global warming. She also sees the need for more clean energy jobs. Also, as the western part of the U. S. has had bad droughts, particularly California in a state of a severe drought, Clinton wants to “establish a Western Water Partnership to coordinate water use among agencies and states in the Western US, and a Water Innovation Lab to use and reuse the resource more efficiently” (Harrington). From this, you can tell that Hillary cares for the well-being of the citizens and the Earth. Furthermore, Clinton also advocates for a conservation of biodiversity, feeling that it’s essential to maintain our quality of life. Clinton wants to use the EPA effectively and fight against Trump so that the U. S. can preserve the environment and so that our posterity may live in a safe …show more content…
Johnson, like Hillary, advocates for the conservation of the environment. Johnson believes that government should protect many areas such as national parks and wants to use the EPA effectively to keep Earth and people safe. Like Clinton, Johnson thinks that the climate change is caused by humans. Different from Clinton though, Johnson doesn’t think that the government should do anything about this climate change because he says that global warming is in our future, meaning that the sun will eventually kill us all. Moreover, Johnson’s views on the environment include that “there is no compromise when it comes to clean air, clean land, or clean water. [he doesn’t] believe in the cap-and-trade legislation. [he doesn’t] believe that taxing carbon emissions is the way to go forward. [he doesn’t] believe in, overnight, increasing the cost of energy by what [he’s] heard would be up to 25%” (Gary Johnson on Environment). Johnson feels that the government shouldn’t use money and get involved with environmental affairs because he thinks that they’ll just end up spending a lot of money with no effect on the desired outcome. Johnson’s views have often varied and can create confusion among his peers. When asked whether he had a comprehensive plan involving his environmental views, he admitted that he, in fact, did
Democrats and Republicans highly differ when comparing views on climate change. The Democrats accept human role in climate change while many Republicans question if climate change is even real. In the 2016 Democratic Party Platform (27), they state “in the first 100 days of the next administration, the president will convene a summit of the words best engineers, climate scientists, policy experts, activists, and indigenous communities to chart a course to solve the climate crisis.” This is highlighted previously when President Obama, a Democrat, traveled to Paris for a convention about climate change where he met other leaders around the world to make a plan to help fix the issues surrounding climate change. This shows the basic principles of the Democratic Party as internationalist and having the large government—as it states in the
To what extent of the government’s efforts will help alleviate these concerns? Will people change their perspective towards environment around them? And will people actually start taking action to make change instead of being compliant? It’s hard to tell what will change in the near future but at least awareness is being raised for this issue. Berry argues that if we continue to be economically dependent on land and valuable natural resources, we will eventually deplete it all in the end. He proposes several solutions that could potentially improve this situation. Although not everyone will agree with his proposed suggestions, many will definitely agree with what he has said about the environment’s current
In order to fully survive, it is very crucial to constantly maintain the environment at a healthy rate. The main aspect that truly affects and drives our environment is the economy. The environment is always brought up within social political debates across the country as it is very difficult for Americans to come to a consensus since we have the right to speak our every thoughts. Two of the major political parties, Republicans and Democrats, are two completely different parties that constantly struggle to settle on the same position. In this essay, I will discuss the political parties’ beliefs about the environment.
The amount of waste that’s produced by the lack of concern for the environment is huge. We as Americans don’t see it as a total problem because we’re doing different things that we don’t pay attention to. We as people need to learn the concept of not wasting anything to harm the people and other things around us.
Stein 's views on the environment and climate change are very clear. She states she would want the government to pass laws and regulations to prevent any future climate changes. Stein believes that this is a real issue. She is not trying to hide the problem and avoid the conversation. She wants to tackle it head on and try to prevent it from further harming our planet and I completely agree with her. This is such an important issue that needs everyone 's attention. We only get one planet, so we need to help preserve it. She also states she wants to help protect the earth for our future generations. She is not just thinking about the present, but also the future and I find that extremely admirable. This country needs a leader that is going to take the initiative to not only better us nationally, but
“Hillary is continuing a lifelong fight to ensure women have access to reproductive health care.” and “Make premiums more affordable and lessen out-of-pocket expenses for consumers purchasing health insurance on the Obamacare exchanges.” (“Affordable health care is a basic human right.”). However, Hillary isn’t only prepared for the issues at hand, but is very active in causes that are of an importance. For example, everyone does deserve to be treaty equally whether they are a woman, lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. I agree with Hilary Clinton’s plans on dealing with most of the issues at hand including college cost, cost of healthcare, the obscene amount of money used in politics, and immigration in the United
According to Hillary for America, Clinton wants to invest in medical and scientific research, infrastructure and clean energy. She plans to provide tax cuts for small businesses and the middle class while eliminating tax loopholes for the wealthy. She supports increasing the federal minimum wage to $12 and a tax credit for corporations that offer workers a legitimate opportunity to participate in a profit-sharing program. In addition, she wants to improve federal funding for higher education so that students can earn college degrees without resorting to
The Republican Party believes that preserving of the environment is a conservative value so long as it does not interfere with economics. Any environmental policy must in return, promise to increase economic growth, and not infringe on private property rights for it to be deemed practical.
Views on climate change: Unlike Sanders, Trump does not believe climate change is a real issue facing the nation and the world at large. He does not believe human beings has had a role in climate change which as a result has led to melting of polar regions, onset of new diseases, air and water pollution and so much more. Trump has no plans to combat climate change if elected, nor has he made any proposals to reduce carbon emissions.
Due to Hillary Clinton and her experience in government, the U.S. is finding Mrs.Clinton to become more consistent in her works. Hillary Clinton stated she believes the project would cause a step backwards from the aim to confront global climate change. She felt the right to wait on the administration to make the decision. Most environmental activists oppose the pipeline project and Mrs.Clinton is at the top of the list. One main issue that is damaging her reputation for the Democratic presidential nomination would be the effect of her protection of the environment. Mrs.Clinton also avoided any allusion to the economic populism that has fueled her main challenger for the Democratic nomination, Sen. Bernie Sanders.
I have decided to vote for Hillary Clinton. I have reached this opinion because I agree in the majority of her beliefs. One example is Hillary’s belief in Obama Care. I agree with Mrs. Clinton because my mother works in the medical field and a significant amount of the people that she helps can’t afford their insurance or don’t have any. Thanks to Obama Care thousand of people are now covered by Obama Care. Hillary also believes that schools should be a “Gun-Free Zone,” I also believe that schools should be free of a guns. I think that guns bring fear and students would not be able to concentrate, not to mention they are incredibly dangerous. Another opinion Hillary and I share is women should be allowed to serve in military combat positions.
Have you ever known a woman who wanted to run for president? Not many people have, and are comfortable with the thought. Hillary Clinton is a politician. She grew up as a Republican. But later became a Democrat while in college. She is doing some very important things. Such as changing the lives for young women all over the world by bringing down the barriers that stop women and girls from reaching their goals. She has the desire to help families and children. Hillary Clinton has had a great impact on the world; from her youth till now.
Our society is to blame for the constant contaminations being brought onto nature. The design of cradle to cradle is a great place to start in making a change in the excess waste; however, this will not be enough to make a change. I believe society has to be forced to realize what is actually happening to our planet. Landfills are over stocked with waste, our water resources are being purposely contaminated and will one day run dry. The reflexive modernization theory needs to be renegotiated by our government to create a balance in society and the environment. Our planet will continue to fall until the population is forced to make a change in the treatment of the environment or else there will not be a future of the
Environmental issues have been a cause of a lot of debate in the recent past. Governments and nongovernmental organizations have been in constant consultations on how to help protect the environment. Apparently, as a result of man’s many actions, the natural environment is getting torn apart so quickly that the coming generations will not enjoy this kind of environment, unless a
