HiStep is a great way for a student to get more involved in helping children and demonstrate their character and leadership skills. I have the skills and character to help children learn and take the right path. I want to be a HiStep participant, and I want to help pass my character onto others. I want to be a HiStep participant because I enjoy helping children learn. I tutor at the elementary, and I enjoy it immensely. HiStep would be a great way for me to do something during school hours that I enjoy. Also, I would like to lead children into becoming better people, teach them rights and wrongs, how to be responsible, and how to be a leader. HiStep is the perfect way for me to do things I enjoy and pass my good character onto others. I
By joining this team I get to meet many opponents from various schools and learn about them and their school. This is also an excellent opportunity to make new friends outside of school. This is also an excellent educational opportunity to improve my Science. I could improve speaking skills, strategy making skills, and debating skills in this educational experience. Team building and self-esteem are also some of the skills I will pick up on my journey. I long for the intense discussions, plans, and a debate to win.
Participation is the act of participating and being involved in activities, decisions, planning and sharing. Participation is important for the children as well as the parents in school settings. When parents and children are involved in decision-making it allows them to feel connected to the school and feel like their voice is being heard and wishes met. Children feel that their opinions and feelings matter, this is important to social skill development, as they will feel apart of the school community. Children who participate in school activities such as sports gain self-confidence and team building skills. Communication skills improve, stress is relieved and friendships build as children learn to trust and depend on their peers.
At school, I like to participate in schoolwide activities. I enjoy fundraisers, donating, and other activities that benefit the community. I also enjoy participating in interactive activities because I want to be a leader in the classroom and also be a leader outside the classroom. I like working in groups to interact with others in my class.

In my classroom, I would create a welcoming classroom environment. I would teach my students to accept diversity and respect differences because that is part of a learning community. I would also provide an environment in which all students can exhibit their potential to grow. My goal would be to maintain a personalized and open classroom which allows all students to learn at their own rate. I believe a stimulating environment that attends to the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical needs of all students should be provided as well. The curriculum should be varied to focus on different styles of learning and different paces. By differentiating instruction, gifted students can move through the mandatory content quickly and on to more complex
I have opportunities to work with students of all walks of life, Title I schools, high economic schools, inner city schools and all of the children have a drive to learn. Many of them are eager to participate with and and every activity that they are engaged in. For example, I was working with the Big Draw program that my college sponsors every year. We
The Lakeview Health Systems Activity helped me learn about myself, my classmates, and how a possible meeting would be with a CEO in charge. The CEO of my group did a great job navigating through the different problems and issues that Lakeview was having. Through this activity, I learned multiple things about myself. Often times, I am very shy to speak up. Even if it is a simple question for a teacher, it is hard for me to raise my hand and ask. So in this activity, I learned that for me to speak up I had to feed off of what others were saying and their ideas. I learned that I as able to gain confidence through sharing the same ideas and solutions with my fellow classmates. The more that my classmates spoke, the more comfortable I felt to voice my option. Although, I did not agree with some of my other classmates thoughts, I learned that it was fine because they may have researched their duty and knew a better solution.
My goals for this program is to learn more about the development of the young mind and body. How to care for their needs. I want to learn everything there is to learn about children, and my favorite part is that i know i'll never stop learning about them. The self-discipline when coming to children is strong. My work would be my best.
In the movie Chalk, it talks about the lives of three teachers and one assistant principal. The movie takes place the course of an entire school year. Each of the teachers had their part in the movie about how life is teaching inside the classroom.Mr. Stroope, a 3rd year history teacher is campaigning for Teacher of the Year, but many of his students are a bit smarter than him. Mr. Stroope is one of the teachers who are disorganized and does not seem make students learn in the classroom.
Teaching and Learning consists of various different theories that educators may or may not feel applicable to their individual philosophy. There are bits and pieces of a variety of theories that many educators feel are important in the classroom. The purpose of this paper is to explain the personal learning theory and how it is applied in a classroom. After an educator takes the time to research and do further learning by reading a variety of written books, the educator may or maynot change things in the classroom or focus on a different topic that they had not previously focused on in the past.
There are several reasons why this would be a good fit for me. I’m involved in many school activities. I participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters which is a program to develop strong relationships with struggling children and getting them through their worst. Whether it’s homework
Participation is the process of ensuring that children’s voices are consistently listened to and interpreted to conclude in the best possible result to benefit the child. It also ensures that children feel supported by adults and that they feel they are an actively vocal and a listened to member of society. It is crucial for adults to constantly encourage children, within school and the wider community, to share their opinions and feelings whilst creating the suitable, happy, and comfortable environment to do so.
My philosophy of teaching is deeply rooted in nurturing the potential each and every student in my classes. Providing a creative environment that allows self assessment, growth, group interaction and mentorship are at its very core. Having taught in Higher Education for many years, and as an instructor of Media Arts and Animation, and Game Design, I have had the amazing opportunity to work with some of the brightest and creative young professionals. Teaching has not only broadened my love of art and exploration, but my determination to help students that do not have the confidence to persevere through their education, yet have the passion to follow their dreams.
Classroom observation is a main approach of teaching research.
