Emanuel County Institute is located in a very interesting city, well actually it used to be two. Welcome to the home of the bulldogs historical twin city. It is not a very big town but it still has a lot to show and live up to. The town of twin city initially began as Graymont and Summit, two tiny towns’ just feet from one another but later on in 1921 the two merged and made one, Twin City or as my jrtoc SAI likes to say the City of the Twin. This town is pretty historical if I do say so myself it has over one hundred and thirty historical buildings and monuments some dating from the 1830s. While Twin City is an older town it has a lot of newer activities for families to do such as visit the national park, George L. Smith. The

In my visit I saw the Police Department, the new Baseball Field "Dunkin Donuts" that is not in use yet, and many parking lots almost full. I did appreciate many office buildings and hotels, and also saw the Capital Community College's building. I saw High school Students walking in uniform, also students from the College, and people well dress probably from offices and having lunch at that time. The area is more work related, looks clean and has many fast food places and restaurants around. There was a bus stop full of people awaiting and boarding the public transportation. The area is work and business related and it counts with several
Another premise I found while reading this story and from my experience with small towns is that
In my research I discovered that the town of Silver City have close neighboring towns around their surroundings, such as Bayard, Hurley, Santa Clara, Cliff and Hanover etc. All these different towns are just few miles away from each other and most people interconnect between towns in their related activities such as school, Medicare and work. Another, interesting fact about Silver City in particular is the progress of some major agencies in the town, and people view Silver City as the big town that provides some of the needed resources to other

Twin City, a "little city with a big history," began as two towns, Summit and Graymont, which merged in 1921 to survive the effects of the Great Depression. In February, 2014, the Twin City Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The district includes over 130 structures with architectural house types and buildings from 1830 to the present,

The city of Springfield and its establishment was indeed a city on the hill, where three rivers met causing the perfect location for a new established plantation. After the brutal war between
The second city also selected for this report is located just south of Los Angeles California, the City of Compton founded on May 11, 1888 was the eighth city to be incorporated. A brief history on Compton and its population is that according to the U.S Census Bureau in 2010, the total population size was at 96,455 residents. This number of residents is lower than what was expected to see in California. After further investigation in the website, after five-year span in 2015, the population of Compton raised to 97,955 residents. Although the smaller population growth isn’t what it seems to be like in Arvada Colorado. But in 2016 in Compton California the total population size decreased to 97,550 residents. A decrease in 400 residents within the one year span. Both cities roughly over 1,000 miles apart do share some similarities and differences between them.

it is a very prominent and successful school. I have also received my Bachelor of Science degree at

I grew up in Hamilton, Mississippi. Hamilton is a very small community with one major highway running through it. It consists of several businesses. Some of these businesses include: Napa parts store, Evans plumbing and A/C, Michelle's Restaurant, Crossroads, Lackie's Restaurant, Ampot Federal Credit Union, Tronox, and the Grass Shop. Tronox is the major chemical plant here in town, and it employs many of the people that live here. Hamilton is also a major farming community that grows cotton, corn, wheat, soybeans, and peanuts. It is a great community with friendly people and many wonderful churches. Hamilton also has a good school that offers great academic structure and athletic
Dewitt, a small town in eastern Iowa with roughly fifty-five hundred people residing within its borders. Most of the area around DeWitt is pretty similar, middle class families, white, and hard working. There is country life all around the DeWitt area, and sub divisions like Timber Creek. These two places resemble themselves, but for being so close carry quite a few differences. Both places are rather nice compared to other places in DeWitt and in my mind a lot better than living in a crowded and hectic city like Davenport or Clinton even. Different places bring different views on politics, religion, or what’s best to do on your free time. Iowa is definitely more similar throughout the state than
