The East German Government wanted to stop the incoming immigrants from crossing into Eastern Germany. The wall started as a thrown together as a block wall with barbed wire on the top. The temporary wall was replaced by a concert wall that was 4ft wide and 12 ft wall. Close to two hundred people lost their lives attempting to cross over. The wall was finally taken down in 1989.

A revolution, by definition, is the overthrow of one government followed by replacement with another. The American Revolution against the British during 1775 to 1783 and the French Revolution pitting the French people against their own government during 1789 to 1799 were both very important political and social turnovers. This movement towards the establishment of a constitutional government influenced political thought throughout the world. By closely examining three of the main causes of these revolutions, it is clear that although the two revolutions have their differences, the basis of cause for the revolutions have, overall, much stronger similarities.

     This division amongst revolutionaries was further heightened by the continued existence of social and economic problems throughout Europe. It was these social problems which had helped bring about the 1848 Revolutions in the first place. In the 1840s there was increased food shortage and business failure along with high unemployment, which had increased the dissatisfaction with the existing conservative or moderate regimes. Although this economic discontent had not been enough on its own to bring about the 1848 Revolutions, it definitely played a key part in their development and their collapse. These problems were still apparent in 1848 and consequently took some of the focus away from the revolutionaries’ cause. Two very interesting revolutions were the Haitian and the French revolutions. While the Haitian and French revolutions took place in close proximity to one another, the cause for the revolutions and results were quite different.

Europe underwent a wave of revolutions during the 19th century. This series of political upheavals was known as the Revolutions of 1848. The Revolutions of 1848 were a series of republican revolts against European monarchies. The revolutions began in Italy, in January 1848, and eventually spread to the rest of Europe. The Revolutions of 1848 were significant because they were the most widespread and violent political movements of Europe in the 19th century. Ultimately, the ideas of conservatism, liberalism, and nationalism impacted the Revolutions of 1848.

What is revolution? It occurs when the country is going through a difficult time and there needs to be change. It could be a small or big change for the country. There are a few reasons why revolution can happen. One of the reason is hatred towards the government. People wanting new political views and want better ideas. As Donald Trump won the elections, we finally have a republican in power since people were tired of the democratic policies and beliefs. Some might just want a social change in their lives. There are four type of revolutions that have occur over the past centuries which are hunting and farming, agricultural, industrial and microchip.

First, in Xinjiang, the revolution was brought about by the heavy influx of Han Chinese into the Uighurs territory. This caused them to feel marginalized politically, and also made them feel as if their very culture and independence were being threatened. The Uighurs reacted to these feelings by going down a violent path, rioting and fighting for what they perceive to be incursions on their rights. Now, even 50 years later, there is still conflict in the region, with the Chinese Army having to quell a riot just as recently as 2009.

Revolutions are series of uprisings that are in favor of a new system in a country or nation. Most revolutions are successful but some are not. Two successful revolutions were the Haitian and the French. The French and Haitian Revolutions had many good outcomes but it took a long time period to accomplish their individual goals. The Haitian and French Revolutions had similarities, both started by Enlightenment ideas, but both were very different because the French Revolution created chaos whereas the Haitian Revolution developed freedom for slaves.

These three eras of revolution showcase various changes and continuities. The three-hundred year span features revolutions that started because of an assortment of different reasons, while many of them are practically duplicates in their results of the conflict, such as a government being abolished. Although these revolutions present diverse changes over time, the essence of almost every revolution in all three time periods reveals significant continuities between them.

The Berlin Wall was made on August 13, 1961. This was one of the most biggest and longest walls ever made in the whole entire world. The wall was around 96 miles long and the Berlin Wall was about 12 feet high. This wall was built as a symbol for the Cold War. The Germans built this wall to protect the west Germans from the east Germans. The country of Germany didn’t really like the east side of Berlin and the whole east side of Germany. In the end, the outcome of revolutions are usually good but, sometimes it might not be what people want. In the following paragraphs, examples of the general causes and effects that creates a revolution will be discussed in order to illustrate how revolutions are mainly caused by the dispute between the regime and its citizen.
