No two people are affected by depression in the same exact way so there are many options that may potentially work for one person and may not for another. The essential intervention for depression would be to have significant lifestyle changes. exercise and nutrition could be as effective as taking antidepressants and will increase mental and physical health.Exercise has a similar desired effect as antidepressants in which they boost happy hormones such as serotonin and endorphins in the body and leads to the growth of more brain cells and connections between them. social support is important in order for the patient to not feel isolated and stress reduction is key to avoid the exacerbation of their depression.

Most people use self-help and coping which reduces depression. To begin with, it is important to maintain close relationships and social activities with friends and family. It helps anyone beat depression at any point. Also taking care of yourself. Eliminate negative thoughts, wake up, dress up, go out there and do something productive. Engage in activities you love, exercise and eat healthy foods to keep yourself happy and rejuvenated (Addis& Mahalik, 2003).

Psychologist say that "being conscious of who and what you are grateful for has real benefits". There are numerous things that I can possibly think of that I am grateful for, starting from the less minimum to the greatest of them all. Many people have the definition of grateful messed up, they are only grateful when things are good or when receiving material compensations. Gratitude to me is more than that, gratitude is showing appreciation even to the little things in life. When it comes to me I am grateful for my mistakes, my belongings, and my mentor.
