One of the greatest men the world has to offer is Henry Ford. Henry Ford change the united states tremendously through political views to economics itself. The Story of Henry Ford from his rough childhood inspires many Americans and gives hope of the American dream. Henry’s early career as a normal standby in this broken society shows that even anyone could make it in this dead end world. Once Henry ford achieved his goals and became successful he changed economics through the WW1 drastically. To begin with, Henry Ford was born on July 30th, 1963 on a farm. Being the son of William and Mary Ford. Growing up in the United States was a tough as Henry Ford’s parents were Belgium immigrants. Henry Ford showed intelligence at a young age through the use of technology. “His father gave him a pocket watch in his early teens. At 15, Ford dismantled and reassembled the timepieces of friends and neighbors dozens of times, gaining the reputation of a watch repairman.” (My Life and Work, 22-24). At the age of 17 Henry Ford had worked in gas stations, while learning more about mechanical engineering. At a young age Henry was expected to take over the family’s farm. “His father expected him to eventually take over the family farm, but he despised farm work. He later wrote, "I never had any particular love for the farm—it was the mother on the farm I loved." ” (Henry Talks about his mother, 11-15). In 1879 Henry Ford left home to become an apprentice machinist. Soon after achieving his goal Henry returned back to the farm to work till he was later hired by Westing House to service their steam engines in Detroit.
