TV is a constant presence in most Americans' lives. With all of its shows that have highly entertaining style, it gets many people's attention for several hours each day. Television helps people to develop values and know about the world around them. Moreover it influences viewers' attitudes and beliefs about themselves, as well as about people from other social and cultural backgrounds. TV is the biggest element that can influence on U.S. culture because of the news reports, the TV shows, and the commercials that on television screen.
The news report is so influential and could changes the public opinion in a variety of ways. One way is because individuals feel that they receive more information from news report outlets than on their own. Because of that there is a high level of trust from people in the news on TV. Reality TV shows has affected our society in several ways. As an example is that what happens in the gay-marriage issue. The majority of reality TV shows somehow support the decision. When people watch those kinds of shows for a long time and from different channels they become more persuaded about this topic and can accept the gay marriage idea. not only the reality TV shows may affect the U.S. culture, but also the movies can change the society. Movies affect people's way of thinking, especially children. When a child see a cop in a movie who has a power to control the people who did something wrong, in real life the kid will respect the police officer and feel safe because he knows there is someone who take care of criminal people.
