her to give him the baby so he could swallow it. She hid Zeus in a
Especially after Io’s entrance and the recount of her story, Hera seems more like a jealous wife than the noble queen she is presented as in Hesiod’s work. Her attitude towards Io is blamed on Zeus, who has not only provoked Hera’s actions but is her husband and thus responsible for Hera, as it was customary in ancient Greece.
Hera Juno is a jealous and angry goddess while dealing with Zeus and his many mistresses. Even though Zeus and Hera are both married, Zeus falls in love with many other women. Her jealousy guides her to "punishing the many women Zeus falls in love [with]... [no matter] how innocent [the women are]" (Hamilton, Mythology,27). Hera's jealousy guides her to disempower women because of her husband , who is culpable, lies with them. Hera does not attempt to fix her marriage at all. Her anger gets the best of her even if the women "yielded only because he coerced or tricked them" (Hamilton,27). She does not care if Zeus, himself, tricks the women; She only sees it as their fault. Hera simply lets Zeus get away with whatever he wants.
After many attempts by Zeus to court her and her many denials, he finally turned to deception. By turning into a wounded Cuckoo and laying in front of Hera, she then felt sorry for the poor creature and held it to her chest to warm and comfort it. Unbeknown to her it was Zeus in disguise and thus turning back to his normal form, took advantage of her and raped her. Due to her grief and embarrassment with no other choice, she then finally married Zeus in an attempt to cover up her travesty. Now with what Zeus has done to her, she becomes jealous and enraged when learning about his disloyalty due to the fact that he has wronged her and continues to go behind her
In the process of this scene, Zeus is not just embarrassing Hera but also himself. The other gods see his true nature. From the few lines that have been given, insist that she is “always right”. However, Zeus continues by acting callous “I like you less than ever” which helps her in no way of being correct about situations. This is ironic because Hera is the goddess of marriage but her nuptial does not seem pleasant.
Hera Hera was both sister and wife to Zeus, both born to Cronus and Rhea. She was Goddess of women, marriage and childbirth. Many tales of Greek mythology center around the jealousy and retribution Hera plotted against the love interests romanced by Zeus and the offspring who were fathered by her powerful, but unfaithful

One day during ancient Greek times, the supreme god, Zeus, was out searching for any form of entertainment when he saw one of the most beautiful creature he had ever laid his eyes on. A year later, they had a child and named him Adoneas.
That is all apart of the vow she made with Zeus. She was born from Rhea and the very large and big Titan, Cronus. Her older brother is Poseidon. Her other siblings are including Zeus, Demeter, Hades, and Hera. Hestia means other things in the Ancient greek language.
Zeus, the Greek god of lightning and hospitality, ruled the sky. He was a strong, muscular god who could get any woman he set his eyes on. However, Zeus had a wife who was very jealous of his secret girlfriends. Her name was Hera, goddess of marriage and women's life. So, when Zeus went to frolic with his girlfriends on Earth, he had to come up with clever ideas to cover up his betrayals. Especially when it came to women who were prettier than Hera. Zeus knew Hera would kill the poor woman who he was cheating with. It took Zeus weeks for him to come up with such a clever idea, but when he did, he continuously used it. So when he met Halley, he used it a little too often.

After living in fear of one of his children growing up to displace him, just as he had done to his own father, he decided to swallow them shortly after birth. However, when Rhea gave birth to another son, Zeus, she made sure not to tell cronus so the same
Hera: You! You were with Zeus. I knew it.
In the story “Prometheus and Io” Zeus was responsible for creating a feud between his own wife and a girl named Io. He fell in love with her and then a series of feuds unraveled afterwards. Zeus trying to hide Io from his wife, Hera, wrapped her in a thick cloud, but Hera called off the clouds. Zeus then turns Io into a cow, and Hera is reluctant to believe it is just a cow. She takes it and gives it to the hands of Argus. After Zeus sends Hermes to kill Argus, and protect Io from the hundred-eyed monster, she was set free. Hera drives Io crazy by sending a gad-fly. One day, when Alessandro went to confront the tyrant, King Dionysus, he fell in love with Xander, King Dionysus’s Royal Servant. As they spent many months together, Persephone had given birth to a girl, Lexie. Zeus instantly planned the marriage and when Alessandro came back to Olympus, Zeus told him that he was arranged to be married.
-Hera tricked Zeus by drugging him and then tying him up without his thunderbolt so he was powerless to break free.
