Living my worldview in the world as we know it today might be difficult at times but not impossible. It is a matter of determination and not letting anybody change the way you think. As a Christian in this country you encounter with different nationalities, races and religions but If you are tolerant you will be able to understand the differences in our world and in this country. Respect speaks in all languages and I personally think we need a little more of that. The understanding or knowledge we can obtain from our personal experiences makes us different but it is also important to nurture our mind with new things to be open to the fact that we are living in a different era. I personally think we need God in our lives because there is a lot
This is the third week in my seven week semester in this Christian Worldview requirement. Chiefly, I am having a difficult time communicating to my professor. In reflection, Dr. Rasor can;t understand my posts any longer and my latest 60-point assignment totaled to an F. As a result, I looked ver the rubrics and the content that I produced and I demand another opinion because I think the assignment deserves a much better great. Plese, assist me in this matter, even if this situation has to go to the Dean of the school (Christian Worldview).
When it comes to defining what is the true essence of the Christian worldview, it must be noted that there is not a single point of which serves as the essence but rather the essence of Christianity comes from many of its key points. The first point that serves as part of the foundation that creates the essence of the Christian worldview would be the belief in God's existence. This may seem quite obvious since one of the key tenets of any theistic worldview is the belief a higher power but this should not be overlooked since it is an extremely vital part. Such a belief in a higher power is extremely important since it creates a worldview that is extremely different from those within the Atheistic family. This is because the assumption that
Nancy Pearcey, American evangelical author, said, “Having a Christian Worldview means being utterly convinced that biblical principles are not only true but also work better in the grit and grime of the real world.” Everyone has a world view whether they are religious or not. A standard Worldview is how people see the world and how humans pertain to it. A Worldview is not only a way people view the world but it can change the world through cultures, countries, and civilizations similarly to how they shape individuals. A Christian Worldview is a view from a religious standpoint and seeing that the world is a sinful place and it is important to try and change that through Gods help. There are children in this world with environments that can damage their belief in Jesus. As having a Christian Worldview, myself I see this and know that there must be something done about it.
Throughout this class we have discussed the different worldviews that an individual may have. This class has taught me that a worldview is how an individual understands the world and their place in it. “A worldview consist of what a person believes to be real and true, what a person values, how a person makes decisions, and what forms a person’s desires, longings, and goals” (Fuller, Lecture One). An individual’s worldview is the motivating force behind their every emotion, decision, and action. A worldview is what helps an individual make sense of life and this world. A worldview will provide answers for many different questions in life. A few of the questions that a worldview helps answer are questions of origin, human dilemma, hope, and destiny.
Everyone knows that when you plan on building anything you need the proper foundations to support whatever you plan on building. Whether you are building with Legos or actual wood, having the right foundation is important. To understand what a worldview is, one must first define it. According to Hiles and Smith (2014), a worldview “is a foundational set of assumptions to which one commits that serves as a framework for understanding and interpreting reality and deeply shapes one’s behavior”. This foundation starts at the very moment someone is born because “worldviews begin to form before people are aware that they are trusting in anything” (Hiles and Smith, 2014). The purpose of this paper is to discover the
My personal Christian worldview is full of heavy doses of God, and plenty of drizzles of the Bible, and it was born from a combination of how I was raised, my life experiences, and my assumptions. This worldview is heavily involved as I bring up my children to love God, and do my best to be a good wife to my husband. Most of all, this combination has filled my heart and soul with the conclusion that God is my all!

One of the ongoing struggles for the church and Christianity is with culture. Questions have always surfaced about where we should stand on issues or whether it is permissible to isolate ourselves in all areas of life. Shaping A Christian Worldview suggests that hiding is not the preferred option, rather it is our duty to transform our modern culture.
Every person on earth has a mental reality, which we call worldview. It is what a person finds in his/her world and it could be true or not. In other words’ it is putting together of all the things we believe whether they are or not. It could be through education, observation, experience or just because those we trust also believe. Every decision we make is based on the worldview we have developed.
In today’s world, there are an insurmountable number of avenues in which society’s worldviews are influenced. With the continued advances of technological innovations, mainstream media can infiltrate through music, social media, etc., and thus discreetly influence our worldview in a multitude of ways. Moreover, children today are more vulnerable than ever before as these influences, often familiarly disguised, can manipulate their ideals and thereby influence their worldview. Therefore, it is imperative that a Biblical foundation, thus worldview is established early. Hence, the significance of integrating a Biblical worldview into the curriculum, as it ensures that children have a sound view.
A worldview is an intrinsic part of a person. It shapes who they are, what they believe, and how they act. It is something that each person holds on to, and lets it shape themselves, their personality, and their interactions with other people. Senator John Thune believes that, “Having a Christian worldview shapes my decision-making with respect to all aspects of my life. I always respect people in public life who are principled, and those principles have to connecte to something. And my faith is what serves as the anchor and directs my actions.” Yet, even though Senator Thune believes this way, his philosophy truly affects everybody in this world. Their worldview, whether that be Christianity, Islam, Buddhist, etc., affects them in the same
This course has impacted me tremendously. Many pre-conceived notions of missions and methodology of fulfilling the Great commission have changed. The Great Commission, found in Matthew 28:16-20 contain Jesus’ final words to His disciples. He told them, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Before taking this course, I never understood the concept of the “nations” being people groups. I always thought of them as geo-political divisions. I can actually perceive many different people groups in my neighborhood, and now understand that even though they live in America, they do not relate the same way as other Americans. This is due to their cultural and ethnical background among other
It is a challenge for a Christian to live in the modern world without facing opposition from this corrupt and corroding world. Many believers even succumb to the snares of secular ideology, while still proclaiming Jesus. Some Christians would wonder what the big difference is between a secular and a biblical worldview. The truth is that the devil has been blinding us to how evil these secular ideals are, and how dangerous they are to Christians. In general, the secular worldview revolves around self and spirituality, rather than God and religion. The Christian worldview should be Christ-centered and focused on serving others rather than ourselves. When compared, the two worldviews cannot be combined. Rather, a stark contrast lies between them.
Due to the "highly subjective nature of most scientific theorizing... [we should] let the Bible speak for itself and modify our scientific view of origins accordingly." (as cited in Downey, D., & Porter, S., 2009).
Hello back to you. I read your letter and I am really glad that you are already settled down and that you are already having your classes. It does concern me and interests me a lot of the world religion class you are taking. Regarding of the questions you asked me, I really want to answer them in my opinion and what I thing.
