It was a dark, cold Halloween night. The wind rustled the leaves, and the tree branches reached out to the street like hands towards the young trick-or-treaters. The moon put off an eerie glow, and the crisp air whistled a frightening tune. Casper street was full of young children anxious to get their savory Halloween candies, but one group of kids was more interested in a tale the older people had told them the last year. Paxton, Ryley, Deangelo, and Jake were not interested in the candy but the old house at the end of the neighborhood. It was October 31st, 1999, one windy, cold, and dark Halloween night. Three friends, McKenzie, Baylee, and Vanessa decided they wanted to stay home alone while Baylee’s parents were at work. She told everyone she lived in a “hell house” all her life because there was constantly something going on. Doors flying open, voices, footsteps. Nothing ever stayed where they had put it. Her parents worked all the time and she was constantly terrified. On Halloween it tended to get worse but no one had ever believed her.
On a dark and creepy day on Halloween night some kids were going trick or treating but not all of them. Except the three Jameson kids who decided to stay home this year. The oldest boy’s name is Tommy, the middle child is a girl and her name is Sara lastly the youngest boy’s name is Tyrone. Before the permission from their mom, she has warned them about the missing kids who didn't decide to participate in Halloween last year who went off to do whatever they wanted and were missing so she is hopeful that they are not planning on going anywhere this halloween. An hour passed by and they realized that it was only 11:00 and Halloween wasn’t over yet. On the other hand, they were not even receiving candy so Tommy has come up with an idea that instead of staying in the house empty handed; he has something else in mind. Maybe we can sneak out the house and go to the haunted mansion by the gloomy corn field. Sarah did not agree, but it will be better than staying in the house. Tyrone agrees with anything but he just wants a piece of candy before the night is over.

We walked to Grace’s street. As we arrived on the dark street we shivered in fear. “I think we should go back,” Bella said. “Well, you can go back,” Grace said. Bella turned back. We kept walking we finally reached Grace’s house. We went to the house at the end of the street. All the lights were off we rang the doorbell. A zombie came to the door. “Here’s some candy.” An old lady with dark under her eyes and all black clothes said as she threw candy at us.“It’s is really dark.” Hannan said. It was a long walk back. “ We should take the path,”
A group of carefree, college kids visit a traveling haunted house on Hallow's Eve where the terror they believe to be good fun is, in fact, all too real.
When they were done gathering all the candy they wanted, they stopped at the haunted house. When they first walked in, all they seen were machetes and swords on the wall. When they looked closer, there was blood on them and they saw a hand that had been cut off laying on a small table underneath the swords. They kept walking after they got spooked by the hand and found some coffins lying there in the middle of the floor. Their was some figured that was standing behind the coffins and they shined a light over there and it was a witch, a goblin and a clowns that was looking at the family funny. So when they turned around to start walking again, the creature started following them. The kids were behind the adult, so the creature grabbed them first. They grabbed all the kids but one, and it was the older one that was seventeen. When is was quiet, they turned around because they did not hear their kids. The parents started screaming and they started going backwards to retract their
The house belonged to a 62 year-old named Susan Whittaker. Everyone knew her and she was kind to all of the kids in the neighborhood. She handed out candy every year besides tonight. Nothing had seen wrong with her but when all of the kids started to come out to trick-or-treat all of her lights went out. Minutes later the house was engulfed in flames, you never would have believed that such a sweet old lady really would have gone and done such a thing.”

The house was designed so the front door would let you walk into the family room where the TV with a window above it and couch were located. The family room then went into the kitchen where the backdoor was located and a flight of stairs were to the right of it with no railings on one side. As Jimmy walk through the house he went up the stair where three rooms were located his moms bedroom to the right and his to the left with another door to the right that led into a small office room. The bathroom was located in between the bedrooms and the washing machines were located in his moms bedroom closet. They had one bathroom that they both had to share and a small backyard that regularly had dead grass and a few old toys that he played with as a kid. He walked over to his room and went to the bed where he put his back pack and then changed into some different clothes. He graded his homework and went and sat down at his desk and turned on his small laptop that he use pretty much everything for. The window right in front of his desk cast a bright afternoon light that put a glare on his computer screen. If seemed like it was going to be a long and dreadful night. Jimmy had no idea.

“In the year of 1989, there was a street named Elm, in the state of Wyoming. Few chose to live on that street, and they all knew about the haunted house, up on the hill, on the west side of town, coming off of Elm. Once, I spent the week with some friends and, Halloween came upon us, while I stayed with them.” I was telling my first-grade brother and his friends stories to scare them out of their wits. Besides, no one wants little kids tagging along with you to go trick or treating, when you could go with your friends to Haunted Houses, and not ones set up by the town hall. “We were just about to pass the house, not thinking anything of it, when we heard a moan coming from Old Man Reaper’s house.” Their eyes grew wide with fear.
