Motivation of old employees
The company intends to adopt systems that transmit gas consumption through wireless networks as opposed to the initial gas meters being produced. This is relatively a new product being introduced into the company and calls for measures to be taken by the management to ensure that the new system is adopted without much problem from the employees. This is particularly important when it comes to the employees who have been working in the company for a very long time. As the CEO, I will be the one in charge of motivating the employees who have been working with the company for a long time to take interest in the long term future of the company. I will motivate these employees through various strategies such as offering them a stable future through entrusting them with pertinent departments within the company to assure them of their centrality within the operations of the company. Employees are motivated by security and safety within a company; everyone wants a future that is stable. Therefore, I will ensure that I provide them with security and stability when it comes to their jobs (Glenn, 2012). I will particularly make them aware that adopting the new system will steer the company to greater heights in the future.

The aging labor force affects Human Resources by that the department needs to take the time to motivate employees who are older to push themselves, start planning for retirement and manage the cost health care. In today’s society, many older people do not plan on retiring anytime soon or do not have enough money to retire. From this, some older workers are cutting down hours, working on temporary assignments, and are working from home. This allows older generations to mentor younger generations with work ethics and other aspects of the business. While this also gives the younger generations to mentor older generations with the latest technology and new ways of thinking. Human Resource management might run into different issues with the different generations such as the silent generation values job security and income.
