The trafficking of people is the fastest growing and most profitable criminal activity after drug and arms trafficking. This alone tells us how dreadful our world is. The Syrian Civil War has generated around four million refugees throughout the course of the war. Refugees seek need asylum have instead fallen victim to abusive traffickers and other criminals. Since 2011, reports of a series of kidnappings have emerged from Sinai and the victims are refugees that are taken in for ransom and human trafficking. Egypt has reinforced security operations in Sinai in support of United Nations.
