“Our task must be to free ourselves… by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.” Many believe in this myth called “humane agriculture,” yet they’ve never truly known what the definition of that is. The fact is, there is no such thing as “humane agriculture” because it is impossible to humanely rape or caringly slit the throat of a conscious living animal. Although many meat-eaters have argued that eating dead animal flesh from a cow is nutritious, closer examination shows it is especially bad for the cows that suffer excruciating pain.
