Hunting is a great sport. There are people who spend their entire year waiting on the next hunting season to come along. They often strive to catch the biggest, most beautiful buck that they can find. It is often enough to provide food for their family and friends throughout the season when they are unable to hunt. The biggest problem with this is keeping your game fresh until you can get it back out of the woods.

Hunting is a great way to get out into the world. It is something that make bonding with other men easier and gives them a way to compete with one another to see who can bring in the biggest. It also means getting out into nature, and in some cases; you may have to venture way out into the woods where vehicles are unable to go. This can make keeping your catch a little difficult. To carry large game, you would need a large cooler, but they can often be too heavy to carry deep into the woods, but to stay fresh; it needs to be iced quickly. How do you handle it?

This allows you to get rid of the waste and it does help to keep the meat fresh. The main goal of this is often to let it bleed out so that it does not end up tasting bad from adrenaline. However, some hunters go the extra mile if they are completely out in the woods where their trucks cannot go. They go ahead and cut it up for individual meals that they can prepare when they get to camp or back home. These hunters know that icing the meat down is the key and often carry along a cooler for backpacking that makes it easier on them to do
“Hey guys! This is the last communication you shall receive from me. I now walk out to live amongst the wild. Take care, it was great knowing you” (Qtd. In Krakauer 69). After graduating from Emory University, Christopher McCandless abandoned everything, gave his entire savings account to charity, and then hitchhiked to Alaska to live in the wild. In the novel, Into the Wild, Was McCandless justified in shunning society? McCandless was justified in shunning society because he simply wanted to find himself and be independent without any distractions from his friends or family.
Although you may spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on all the gear and clothing and what not you use to hunt with, hunting can be a great way to put food on the table on a very tight budget. It is cheaper to buy a tag and hunting license for the animal you are going to be hunting than it is to go to the store and buy the meat and you don't get near as much from the store with your money as you would if you were to go hunting and get the animal yourself. One deer or elk or whatever big game animal you go after could feed your family for several months, maybe even a year as to where if you were to buy food from the store it might only last you and your family a couple weeks. So hunting is a cheap and easy way to feed your family if you are on a very tight
Many people have misconceptions about hunting. One such misconception is that hunting is easy and any person can go sit in the woods and wait for an animal to cross the hunter’s path. However, people who believe this are sorely mistaken. Hunting is not just sitting in the woods with a rifle; there are many other aspects that must be considered. An individual must have all preparations complete, purchase or gather the equipment needed, and know what to listen for while in the woods.
Introduction: Duck hunting, stereotypes aside, is a civilized and principled sport. From the 18 March – 12 June is this year’s annual duck hunting season. It is not just every man for himself, in fact there are a lot of rules that need to be taken in place during duck hunting. Here are some behind the scenes of this recognised form of entertainment.
Hunting is a sport that men and women around the world have enjoyed for centuries. However, today there is so much controversy over whether it is ethical or beneficial for animals to be hunted. People who do not support hunting are not aware of the benefits it offers for not only the hunter, but also the animal population. There are hunting seasons, specific types of guns the hunters can use, the time sportsmen can hunt, and many other rules that keep sportsmen from hunting unfairly or overhunting. Sportsmen must buy license and tags to hunt legally, which keeps many people from hunting. The people who go against these regulations face heavy fines and in some cases, jail time. People who do not support hunting probably are not aware that because

The ultimate dream of nearly all outdoorsmen in the United States of America today is to kill a mature old whitetail buck, and these chances have been very few and far between in the state of Tennessee in the past. In order for a male whitetail deer to grow into, what some might call, a trophy buck, it will take a
While some deer hunters can pick up shed antlers like a kid collecting quarry stones, there are others who couldn't find a bone if their life depended on it. What do the most successful shed hunters do that separate them from the rest? A couple key things can have a huge positive impact on how many sheds you find. For example, perhaps they cover more ground, or they spend a greater length of time doing it. Here are the top three things that will ensure you have a successful shed hunt.
Gerard A. Hauser covers a plethora of details on how to create a well-made persuasive argument in his book, an Introduction to Rhetorical Theory; however, he covered three specific essentials that are necessary for persuasion: the components logos, pathos and ethos; purposive discourse and rhetorical competence; identification. I will argue for each constituent, respectively, to prove that persuasion cannot thrive without the aforementioned essentials.

In the Ted Talk “We should aim for perfection- and stop fearing failure”, Jon Bowers outlines his argument for perfection. He begins by giving an example of a “small error” that ended up costing Amazon over $160 million dollars. He then lists more examples draws them forward to present his idea of perfection. The examples show how one tiny error can have an enormous impact and he turns to the audience asking “why we cannot achieve perfection?”. He draws the listeners in by giving personal experience in striving for perfection. “Look, a hundred people die everyday due to vehicular crashes. Think about that for a second. That's like the equivalent of four commercial airliners crashing every week, yet we still can't convince ourselves to pay perfect attention behind the wheel. So I teach my drivers to value perfection”. Jon is an educator for professional delivery drivers and has to ensure that they are prepared to handle any and every situation possible.
Every year for Thanksgiving, my dad, cousin, and 2 uncles go hunting. Hunting is a tradition that we enjoy on Thanksgiving, and we have repeated it for several years. Hunting is done before the meal, and after, and we normally shoot 2-3 deer
Hunting and fishing have been around since there were people. Before people could go to the store and buy goods, they had to use what nature had given them in order to survive. Today, hunting and fishing is not necessary for survival, but is rather enjoyable and a great excuse to get out and enjoy God’s beautiful country. Fishing is a great pass time; however, hunting is more worthwhile because of the wide variety of game, the endless options of gear and equipment, the breathtaking locations, and the ability to target specific animals.
Harvesting game not only benefit the land and wildlife; it also helps out a family. Venison and other wild game meats are healthy and great sources of protein. Over forty meals can be made with a single deer, which can feed a family of four ten times. The price of a hunting license and game tag combined is around eighty dollars; that can really help out a family in need. Instead of buying beef at a store which came from a slaughter house, you can pay for a hunting license and a game tag, and go harvest a deer. That deer will put food on your table and keep the game population managed. Humans might not find benefit to the hide nowadays, but that is no reason not to hunt. Hunting is still beneficial to the animals and yourself.
It was dark. Not so dark you couldn’t see anything, but dark enough that you couldn’t see anything five feet in front of you. In front of me was our brave teacher, Mrs. Leys, behind me was my friend Jake. Beside me was my friend Neha. We were terrified, clutching each other hands, we slowly made our way through the rocky dark forest. Until, we came to a ginormous vertically angled rock were Neha and I were struggling to make it through. First we saw Mrs. Leys slowly slide down like a slide, Neha and I were petrified. We could see the beautiful shining lake while the glowing moon reflected off it, you could almost taste the frigid lake water, the dirt was soft and squishy, but not like mud, there was no smell except the sweet smell of the chilling flowers and trees around us. Neha and I attempted to climb over the rock. That was an awful attempt. We saw that Mrs. Leys had slid down the hill so Neha and I tried that. I got down first, next came Neha, she slid down and I caught her at the end, next came Jake and he just jumped down like it was any normal day. Neha and I were so relieved that we made it through alive. That was only the first rock sadly. The next one came a couple metres after the fist one. This one wasn’t as easy, we watched to see what Mrs. Leys solution was, but this time, she did was what most of the rest of our class did and that was, trip and fall down, that happened to me, but I was able to regain my balance. Neha wan’t
