Each stormchasers is in a group of stormchaser. They each have a special job to have their fun and information. I have always found the ocean to be a very intriguing part of the Earth. There are infinitely many discoveries that have yet to be made about it. My fascination with the ocean sparked the idea to do my class paper on hurricanes and what they are along with their effects. I remember hearing about all the damages from Hurricane Katrina after it hit the coast near New Orleans. The only information I really know about them is what is briefly covered on the news. I thought it would be interesting to discover the true effects they can have on not only people that endure them, but also the environment as it gets ripped to shreds by the plethora of winds and water.

When most people think the of the Gulf of Mexico, the thought of surf probably never crosses their mind. However, the gulf is capable of producing quality surf more than you would think. From hurricanes to cold fronts, the gulf can receive waves from various weather patterns.

Hurricane hunters have special tools to find out about facts and information about hurricanes. One in particular is the dropsonde. The dropsonde is small, round, and has a tube shape with a parachute on top so the tool does not hit the ground to hard. To use this instrument, hurricane hunters drop the dropsonde into the hurricane’s eye (which is the middle of the hurricane) then it falls into the ocean and gathers information about the hurricane, when its done it radios information to the plane.

It was one fairly sunny day in Houston Texas It started to get windy then it started to rain. All of a sudden it started to storm hard then the wind got stronger all of a sudden it started pouring people that were watching the news had alarms going off. And then the storm sirens started to go then the people of houston knew they were in trouble now people and families were scared the storm was horrible the people of houston knew it was a hurricane. The storm lasted around five hours.

On September 21 1938 an enormous hurricane hit the east coast, RI and Long island was greatly impacted. This storm was very powerful due to various conditions. One of them was the weather, between the waves, winds, and floods the storm was very deadly. And if the people that do stay home you can board up your windows and pretty much anything that will break really easily.

There are many categories for hurricanes, but a category 5 is the worst. But there are also many ways to prepare for a hurricane. But there are also safe, easy, and right ways to prepare for a hurricane also. There are many ranks that a hurricane can have. The rinks go 1-5 a five being the worst.
